2. Home

Sophia finally got home soaked through to the bone, her thick curly blond hair dripping with water. Her clothes stuck to her as she stepped in the house, her bright blue eyes searching for something to wipe her face. Not sure what to do first she ran upstairs and changed into some trackies. After getting some food she waited for the kettle to boil, a hot chocolate was in order. As she got the whipped cream she looked out the window, it was still chucking it down with rain. She sighed and took her hot chocolate upstairs, her hands wrapped around the mug. Upstairs she laid on her bed daydreaming about the silhouette man, who he was and what he looked like, listening to the sound of the rain hitting her window.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door she jumped spilling some hot chocolate on her bed. Startled she went downstairs to see who it was. She sighed with relief it was just her brother, Tom, he must have forgotten his key. As she opened the door he said ‘Who’s he?’ with his bright green eyes staring at the edge of the garden, she replied ‘what?' He looked at her with a confused expression and said ‘that man, that guy right there, well he was… it was probably me just imagining.’ Sophia peeped round Tom and his muddy brown hair to see where he was pointing, no one was there. She looked at him like he was crazy and went back upstairs.

As she got back to her room she realised the time.., it was 5 30 already, how long had she been daydreaming for? She still had to do her homework! In a rush of panic she knocked over her remaining hot chocolate and leapt downstairs to get her schoolbag.

An hour later her parents arrived home from work, she still had English to do and that would at least take her another hour, she definitely wouldn’t have time to go on Facebook. She felt like her life was over.

That night she went to bed still thinking about the silhouette man and what he would be like and if he would like her, after a while she started to refer to him as ‘S’. What she didn’t know was that he knew her already.
