You Found Me

A boy kidnapped. But this is not just your average boy. He's a cute, charming, Irish boy, who belongs to an internationally famous boy band, One Direction. A girl, kidnapped as well. She however, thinks of herself as your average American girl, nothing special. Raine Lowe is taken against her will and held in an unknown location. All she knows is that she has been kidnapped and that she might not ever see the light of day again. When she's locked in a cellar, is it coincidence that she is placed in the same room the same kidnapped Irish boy she saw on the news, better known as Niall Horan?

1. Chapter 1

I sat in my living room, and watched the headlines flash across the screen. Apparently some blonde, Irish kid from a internationally famous boy band had been kidnapped without a trace of a clue left behind. The screen showed screaming, crying fans, his mother and brother looking very sad, and his bandmates crying. The world was in a chaotic scramble over this one guy?

Wow, I thought to myself.

I threw open the door and ran out of the house. The stress of everything was getting to me, and I just need to take a break. I walked out to the shed, dug in my pocket, and slipped out the key. After I unlocked the wooden door, I located another key on the chain and inserted it into the ignition and the four-wheeler roared to life. The gentle hum of the motor as it sat in neutral relaxed me. I reversed out of the shed, and sharply turned out and headed towards the giant, calming forest.

In the previous years, I had helped cut trails through this forest. These trails criss-crossed, zig-zagged, and looped throughout the private property owned by my family. I came here all the time when I wanted to get away.

The day was coming to a close, and dark was creeping in like a predator hunting its prey, but that didn’t stop me. The crisp, fresh air whipped through my long, blonde hair silently. The noisy strain of the motor when we climbed a slight incline was music to my ears.

As I ride, I notice something out of the corner of my eye. You’re just imagining things, I tell myself. But still, as the dark chased the sun away, whatever that was sent shivers down my spine. And not the good kind.

I sped up and jumped a ditch. I know these woods like the back of my hand, and besides, its privately owned property, so its illegal and considered trespassing if you visited this area without permission. And yeah, I guess you could say I live in the middle of nowhere, which would only give more reason to believe that I was being paranoid... Right?

Still being carefully aware, I look to my left, through the thin trees. And that’s when I realized what that was earlier. I wasn’t making things up. I was being followed. The pursuer (who is also on a four-wheeler), having seen my noticing, swerved right through a small intersection that joined my trail to his. He (I think it’s a guy, judging by the size of their body) was wearing a ski mask and was obviously determined to accomplish whatever he was here for.

I accelerated quickly, hoping to escape. Like I said before, I know these woods like the back of my hand, and I’m pretty sure they don’t. But surely he wouldn’t kidnap me on my own land, right?

The sound of another engine, other than my pursuer’s and my own, alerted me. Just ahead, another four-wheeler awaited me, with what was obviously the person behind me’s accomplice. Startled, I took an extremely sharp turn to the right, throwing me off my vehicle, which was most likely my only hope of escape.

I landed in the brush with a thud, a crack, and a groan, the last sound escaping my own lips. A sharp pain shooting up my right arm tells me that my elbow is probably fractured or broken.

Moaning, I stand up and dizzily try to run. Okay, okay, more like stumble. With my luck, I probably have a concussion as well. I turn and see two men running at me. Both were wearing masks, black long sleeves and pants, and combat boots.

I turn away and stumble forward, falling yet again and landing myself in a ditch. One man jumps into the ditch with a grunt, while the other stays up on the bank. I vomit where I’m lying, probably from the concussion. I try to stand, only to be knocked to the ground by the man who joined me in the ditch. I look up at the dark sky only to be greeted by a rag being shoved in my face, and then blackness.
