Where's Mummy?

Harry Styles has just gotten his new beautiful baby daughter, Darcy. Too bad his wife Diana died giving birth to Darcy. Now as Harry is raising his daughter all by himself he's focused on keeping the past in the past, but as he tries to forget as much about Diana as possible he starts seeing her, but the real problem is what is Harry going to say when Darcy will ask "Where's mummy?"

3. Time For Dinner Pt. 1

After band practice ended I picked up Darcy and drove us home.

"How was your day with the girls?" I asked giving Darcy a mug of hot chocolate.

"It was fun!" Darcy exclaimed.

"Oh yeah? What did you do?" I asked picking her up and sitting Darcy on the kitchen counter.

"We played games, and watched cartoons, it was fun, daddy!" Darcy was speaking above her age, most three year olds wouldn't even be able to pronounce most letters yet.

"Okay love, how about we give you take a nap then when you wake up you go take a bath then we'll find something to make eat for dinner, alright?" I raised an eyebrow to make sure she said yes.

"Okay daddy," Darcy said. I gave her a strawberry from the few I was eating then I helped her off the counter. She hoped up to her room so she could get the rest every three year old needed. Just as I finished checking up on Darcy I got a call from Louis.

    "Hello?" I asked/said.

"Hey, I need to ask you something," Louis said calmed and casual as he normally would.

          "Okay, go ahead," I persisted.

"Eleanor wants to have this dinner thing tonight with everyone so I wanted to see if you and Darcy would be able to come," Louis said.

"Okay. What time are we talking about here?"

"7:30," I looked toward my wrist watch it was about 4:00 so we still had some time.

                "We'll make it,"

"Great see you later," Louis said before hanging up.  I walked down  the stairs and went back into the kitchen. I was going to get a glass of water when I felt like I was being observed. I did a back round check around my surroundings to see if I was just hollucinating about the whole seeing Diana thing. When I was convinced that there was nothing around me I turned and got a cup but saw a figure in the corner of my eye. I turned immediately and there she was, looking as beautiful as ever.  She wore a a black dress that reached her knees and that hugged her body, she also had black high heel pumps and her chestnut hair was perfectly curled.

"I'm still not gone," she taunted.

"You're still not alive," I muttered under my breath.

"And you're still bad at being discreet," Diana said with her hands on her hips.

"Well you should know that change has always been an impossible thing for me, honey," I said fighting back the fact that she was probably not even here as a ghost, but as a sign that I need a mental hospital room.

"But you have managed to practically tell our daughter that I never existed. Correct? Sweetheart," she said through what seemed to be clenched teeth.

"She's only three. You've seen her," I said.

"Well actually. I haven't laid an eye on her," Said Diana as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"Why not?" I asked as if I was talking to a living breathing person.

"I just couldn't see her until I saw her father. Now I'm starting to regret that decision quite a bit." Diana said as if she was about to burst into tears, well if she could.

"Why?" I asked now with my own arms crossed across my chest.

"I wanted permission,"

"And you needed my permission to see our daughter?"

"Yes Harry. I'm a spirit that wanders around the entire Universe and it is one of the rules to being a soul. I need your permission to see her," she said.

"So if it wasn't one of the rules, you would have already seen her?" I asked feeling curious.

"Yes. I am the one who gave birth to her knowing I would die as soon as she came into this world. So as her mother I would obviously have the right," she said giving a valuable argument.

"Wait. You knew that you would most probably die giving life to this child?" I asked feeling a slight pain in my chest.

"So you're telling me that the doctor, Eleanor, Danielle, nor Perrie told you?" she asked looking down at her shoes and her voice crackled.

"No, what are you talking about?"

"Do you really want to know?" she asked I nodded unable to speak. "Well when I found out I was pregnant the doctor gave me some news. He told me that something wasn't functioning well he said that he could help me until birth but he didn't know if it was me or the baby who would die, and I guess it was me," she said shrugging in the end. I couldn't believe that the people closer to her wouldn't tell her own husband what had happened during her pregnancy.

"One more thing?" I asked as I walked up to her. She nodded. I grabbed her hand surprised that I could still feel her. "How can I touch you?" I asked.

"Is that what you wanted to ask me?" she questioned and I shook my head. "Well I'm basically a solid, only to you though. I should probably also mention that I am only visible to you, don't forget that," she said and stepped a bit closer again.

"I just wanted to know. Is this real, you being here in my presence?"

"Well then I give you my permission as father and living guardian to see our daughter, Darcy Anne Styles,"

"What a formal acceptance. You always knew how to make things sound so spontaneous, Mr. Styles," she said inching closer and closer until finally there was no longer a gap separating us. I wanted to make sure that she was actually here so I gently pressed my lips firmly against hers. Our lips were together for a long while just moving so sweetly together until finally we parted them. "Well I guess I'll be here tomorrow after your dinner party and I'll see her," Diana said out of breath until I saw her disappear in a blink of an eye and she was gone until tomorrow. Can't wait.
