Forgotten

Eternal and Sombre are best friends. Always have been, ever since Sombre moved into the neighbourhood. Sometimes, though, Eternal can't help but think that there is something strange about her best friend, something... inhuman. Sombre, on the other hand, only wants to be something more than friends. In a strange, twisted society, will either of them survive?

4. Number 20 (Sombre)

If Eternal caught a good one, who didn't die of fright or something, this'll be my 20th successful capture.

I waited upstairs, in my office, stained red. I also wore red, a childish, puffy dress, so nothing shows. Oh, that place was dark, and you knew it as soon as you walked up those old stairs.

Sadly, the girl didn't smell the air.

She came up, making the whole house creak with her amazing bulk, her dark eyes locked on to me. She was fat, so very fat. If she does die, at least the others can eat her up. They need some more flesh.

"Are you the girl with the lollipops?" She queried, in a voice composed of thunder.

I blinked, tilting my head to the right a little. It always creeps people out, and it was my official signal to my cat. She came, out of the shadows, as if she was stalking a mouse. Flattening herself tot he ground, she prepared, then pounced.

For a few seconds, the white cat flew, paws outstreched, claws unsheafed. Then she slammed into the wall of flesh which was the girl's leg, scraping her claws down, bringing a crimson waterfall to the ground. I pounced as well, my whip suddenly in my hand, and ready to be used, and that's exactly what I did.

I brought my hand down on the girl, again and again, while my cat helped. I continued, until her screams stopped. Then we dragged her down the dank, dirty hole that led to my basement.

The place where I keep my stock.
