Love Over Life

Krissy's life is hard enough having to move multiple times a year, transferring schools, and putting up with a strict dad who expects her to be perfect, but someone along the way makes a mark. Having to move with her overly protective dad for his job gets rough and meeting a perfect boy was never her plan. He was in the same position as her, and she knew from the moment she laid eyes on him that he was special. Not to mention he was the quarterback of the football team and the highest scoring student in the grade, along with her. But can jealousy ruin their relation and jeopardize their lives?

10. Awkward

*Krissy's POV*

I wore a pair of regular skinny jeans, a white tank-top with an infinity sign on it, slipped on some black toms, and applied a bit of make-up. As soon as I fishtailed my hair and had some breakfast, my dad and I drove off to drop me to school. While I was getting out of the car my dad seemed a little worried.

"Is everything alright?" I ask him as I am standing out of the car with the car door still open.

"Yeah, but, I have a few meetings to go to. I really wanted to tell you after school because you can have the weekend to probably get over the fact, but I don't know if I will still be here." I looked at him questioning, he had never really gone away and left me alone. He would usually bring me along wherever he went, probably being the reason we moved so often.

"Am I going to be alone?" I didn't really know what to think. I was relieved he would trust me, but this was a really short notice.

"I'm afraid so. I don't know how long just yet, but I got you a few things and left them on the counter. I also told you everything you needed to know while I was gone. I see your doing well in this school and I would NEVER have a thought to leave you alone, but I can't let it be my fault that you wont make it into a top college because we move often. I may be in and out of the house a few times, but don't count on it. This job owns many hotels that I would get to stay at while I'm away for work" This was all going really fast. I couldn't keep up, and most of all, what would I do on my own?

"When are you leaving?"

"May be today. I want to remind you that this is only for you, and I have trust in you to make the right choices. Your eighteen now, so please keep that in mind" The fact that I was eighteen was probably surprising because I am a junior, but I learned it was normal to start school a year later than you were supposed to.

"I will"

"Okay now, I will talk to you every night on the phone. I should get going now, and good luck in school!"

"Bye dad, I will try my best!"

"Just like you should, Bye!"

I walked inside the school, and the bell had just rung. I quick stopped at my locker and got to my class in the few minutes I had left. My first class went by really slow because of a pop-quiz we had to take. Ugh I always hated the fact that teachers would quiz you on topics that you just learned, and they wouldn't even give you a heads-up! Like I would have understood that we just learned some information and to study it because we would have a quiz on it the next day, but taking a quiz on stuff you just learned is probably the hardest thing to do.

As I was walking to my next class I bumped into Harry.

"Hey!" I felt more comfortable talking to him, he wasn't a super popular kid that didn't care about anyone else. He was he exact opposite, even if he was super popular.

"Hello," I saw him about to say something else, but he stopped himself.

"What's wrong?"

"I have something to tell you," This was probably the worst sentence I could hear, it felt like I was hit in the stomach. It was the way he said it and just his tone as he said it.

"Yeah, what is it? You can tell me anything"

"Well, yesterday at lunch someone dropped a note in my lap, and it had a phone number and it was signed by your name on the bottom. It told me to come to the coffee shop after school, and I did. After waiting a little while I texted the number, but my ex-girlfriend, Alisha walked in and started talking to me. She was trying to get back together with me using your name, and I figured it out that it was her note and her phone number." We were right in front of our lockers, and there wasn't anyone where we stood, probably because not many people had lockers by us. I didn't follow what he was saying at first, but I caught on that he came to see me at the coffee shop because the note said to. I wondered if this was the same Alisha that I talked to, but no matter what, this was probably the most awkward conversation I had.

"I'm sorry!" I didn't know what else to say, but since it was my name on the note I felt guilty that I got him into a mess.

"Sorry for what? I should be apologizing! She is probably going to go around and start making some nasty rumors and start talking behind your back!" I saw that his face was full of hatred against her.

"But if it wasn't my name on the bottom of the paper, you might have not gone" It was probably my fault he went in the first place. With the thought a tear formed in my eye.

"Don't even try to blame yourself for any of this, it was my fault and I am sorry that I got you into this"

*Harry's POV*

The tear that was formed in her eye was like a stab in the chest to me. I made that tear form, and I promised myself to never let it happen again.

"It's ok, we should probably get going!" I glanced to look how much time we had left and saw we only had a minute. After that we walked into the classroom with only a few seconds to spare. I sat across the room from Krissy and sat in the corner over by Niall. He was sat by Alice, and she was a sweet, down-to-earth girl that I was glad he found.

"Okay students, we are going to be having our next big project of the year. The fist one, as some of you remember was a skit," I always liked these projects, but the skit was by far the worst. The thing I hated most about this year was that our groups would be picked for us, but the luck was usually in my favor, thankfully.

"This time we will be doing a play," My heart jumped up because I loved plays and that was probably my favorite part of drama. "I have picked out your groups and will be writing them on this board. I will also be picking the play you will be doing and who will play what role" My heart was pacing as the teacher was writing names down. I waited and waited as the names were being written down. When I finally saw my name. I closed my eyes and wished to be in any other group than that.
