1. School Time

Ergh I hate school, I hate the people in it, I hate the teachers and the subjects. I’m a Junior at a new school in America. I moved with my mum and dad from Australia because of my dad’s stupid work. I seem selfish but once you get to know my family all you will wanna do is get away from us, we have moved so many times and I have decided that when I go to school, my goal is not to make any friends. Anyway like every other normal kid my alarm clock goes off at 7:00am I get up have a shower get changed into my favourite dress and converse, my hair is tied in a ponytail. I have to admit that I’m not the same as all the girls in America, my hair is shaved on onside which kind of makes me look like a punk, but in reality I’m really the biggest girly girl. I walk down stairs say good morning to mum and dad, grab some toast and begin to walk to school. The cool air surrounds my body and I give myself my first note of the day 1. Take a jacket to school when it’s cold.  I look around at my surroundings, it’s gonna take me a while to get used to all of this, sometimes I wish I was just home schooled so I wouldn’t have to make friends. I hoped this was the last time we moved.

School was 20 minutes away, I hated my parents driving me to school so I decided that I would walk alone, but I guess that’s not going to happen today…

“Hey you!” I heard a voice from behind yell “Wait up… I’m talking to you!” I stop in my tracks and turn around to see a boy running up to me, I can already tell that his going to be one of those annoying people that won’t leave you alone.

“Hi I’m Richard but you can call me Ricky” he smiled with a big cheesy grin

“Nice to meet you, are you new around here? Cause you have a weird accent” he questioned

“Um… yeah I moved here from Australia a couple of days ago” I replied coldly

“Oh cool! Well do you mind if I walk with you to school? If you want I can introduce you to my friends.” He asked

“Fine… I will walk with you, but I don’t want to meet any of your friends,” 2. Don’t interact with other people or make friends with no more questions asked we continued to walk to school in silence. Once we finally arrived Ricky said good-bye and walked off in another direction.

I talked to the principal and she gave me all of the things I needed for school as well as my timetable. First class English. I picked my locker put my shit in and began to walk to the elected classroom. Just my luck Ricky was in my class, he was sitting with a girl and a guy who look as though they were girlfriend and boyfriend by the way they were holding their hands. It looked like they were all in a serious conversation. I decided to take a seat in the back, it was the best spot you can see everyone but they can’t see you.

“Ash?” oh great he saw me

“Hello Ricky” I smiled sarcastically

“Come join us” I walked over and took a seat next to Ricky’s desk. The couple who he was talking looked cute together, even though I didn’t know who they were they just had that look about them that made them look perfect together.

“Meet Eleanor and Louis” he smiled “There two of my good friends as well as the others that you have to meet” I smiled at the two of them who gave me big grins back, I was new to all of this but yet I was so jealous at there kind of relationship, like it looked so perfect and I wanted to have one like there’s 3. Get a boyfriend 4. Cross-out note 3 I was not going to get a boyfriend let alone make friends. What happens if I move again… nothing I break his heart as well as mine. I opened my English book and grabbed a pen.

“New around here?” smiled a boy next to me

“Yeah… um I from Australia moved here a couple of days ago” I smiled nervously

“Cool, wanna hang out at lunch?” he smirked

“Thanks for the offer, but I’d rather not” I replied

“Why? Don’t you like me?” he replied harshly the teacher walked into the classroom and began talking about our new homework task. We had to read a book and write a review about it, nothing special

“In actual fact, I don’t even know you” I whispered back

“My names Harry… Harry Styles”

“Right… Ashleigh Brown” I faked a smile

“So… you gonna sit with me or not?”

“Um… how bout no” I laughed
