Safehouse- A Harry Styles fanfiction

Bo Grace Ellis was your average teenager. Hanging out with friends, complaining about homework and school. But that all changed when she woke up on a deserted street surrounded with flesh eating creatures. She was lost and confused, until a tall, dark curly haired boy named Harry Styles saved her.

Deep down Bo knew she had feelings for this boy. But did he feel the same? Of course not. A tall blonde girl named Taylor swift might have something to do with that.

Will Bo find her family? Will her and Harry get a chance at love? But most of all, would they make it out of this apocalypse alive?

32. Chapter 32

*Harry's POV*

"HARRY!" I heard a female voice scream.

I turned around and looked towards the shop, Bo was running out with a bag slung over her shoulder with things flying out of it. Her eyes were red and tears poured down her cheeks. I looked behind her and a walker staggered out the door behind her. My stomach clenched and I started to run over her, completely disregarding the petrol that was coming out of the machine. Suddenly Bo tripped and stumbled to the floor, food and drinks went everywhere. I dodged water bottles that were rolling towards me and hooked my hands underneath her arms and lifted her up to me. She had a blood nose which mixed with her tears.

"Go to the car and lock yourself in!" I said, trying to sound as calm as possible.

She nodded her head and ran around me. I focused my attention on the infected human coming towards me, blood ran from the side of its head and half of it's face was torn off. I gagged slightly and pulled the gun out of my pocket, aiming it at the zombie. I pulled the trigger and there was a gut wrenching scream when the bullet blew through its skull. The zombie dropped to the floor on its knees and fell on its face. Blood gushed out from its head and a disgusting stench filled my nose. I gagged and spat on the floor, getting rid of the bile that came up from my stomach. I turned around and Bo had curled up in her seat and hugged her knees. Why was it always her they went for? Why couldn't they try and get me instead? I couldn't help but feel that there was only a matter of time until one tried to kill her and I wouldn't be around to protect her.

I put the hand gun back into my pocket and ran back to the car. I opened the door where Bo was and her cries filled my ears. I bent down and leaned into the car, wrapping my arms around her frail body. She wrapped her arms around my neck and cried into my shoulder.

"Shh it's okay baby, it's okay." I repeated.

I pulled away from Bo and her lip was split and blood tricked down her chin. She had a blood nose and her eyes were red and puffy while her cheeks were wet with tears. Her hair was everywhere and she looked a mess, I could see the fright and panic in her eyes. It killed me to see her like this. Suddenly I thought of how she fell, flat on her stomach. Shit.

"Is the baby alright?" I asked, frantically putting my hands underneath her sweater and feeling her tiny bump.

"I-I think they're okay." She choked.

Her stomach felt like it usually did, surely she'd tell me if something didn't seem right, would she? I decided to ignore it and trust that she'd tell me if something was wrong.

I put my hand on her cheek and got the tears out of her eyes. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. I leant back up normally and opened the back door of the car. I pulled the first aid kit I had organised out and brought it back to where Bo was sat in the passenger side of the car. I took out some sort of wipe and gently cleaned the blood off of Bo's lip and face. She sat there in silence watching my face as I cleaned her wound. It felt weird to be the one looking after her, usually it was her looking after me after I'd cut myself with a knife or something. Now it was me fixing her up and I didn't like that, I didn't like that she was hurt.

After I'd looked after her and put the first aid kit away I filled the tank up the rest of the way and got in the drivers seat. Bo had quickly got the bag back and salvaged anything she could from the ground from where she dropped things. I put the keys in the ignition and put my hand on Bo's thigh.

"Thankyou..." She said quietly.

"I'd do it again, for you." I replied.

We drove in silence and after about 20 minutes I looked over at Bo and she'd fallen asleep. Her head leant against the window and her arms lay limply in her lap, she looked so peaceful. I smiled and looked back out the window, we had to take the longest way around town to the shops since there's more infected in town. We were doing something incredibly dangerous here.

I pulled up behind the shopping plaza and turned the engine off. I leant over to Bo and gently shook her shoulder. She moaned and opened her eyes slowly, yawning as she did so.

"We're here." I almost whispered.

Bo rubbed her eyes and pushed some hair out of her face. I looked out the window and made sure there were no walkers around, nothing except for us and an old junk pile across the tarmac floor. I was interrupted from my thoughts by a female voice next to me.

"What do we do now?" Bo asked.

I pushed some curls out of my face and scratched the back of my head. I weighed out our options, we could stay here or go inside.

"Well usually the survivors don't come during the day, they come around sunset. I don't know why, that's pretty dangerous." I replied.

I looked over at Bo and she was looking down at her hands picking at her fingernails. We couldn't sit in this car forever, sooner or later something's going to come by.

"We should probably go inside." I stated.

Bo nodded her head and bit her lip. I could sense that she didn't want to get out of the car, after what happened earlier today. We had no choice though, it's more dangerous in the car than it is in the mall.

"We'll be safer in there, we can hide until sunset." I continued.

Bo just nodded her head and said nothing, this was frustrating me.

"Come on, lets go inside." I said whilst opening the car door.

Bo and I got out of the car and I protectively held her hand. Her fingers were cold and I could feel her shaking slightly in my grip. I have her hand a reassuring squeeze and we walked towards the shopping centre, this better go well.

Authors note:

Hey guys I'm so sorry for the slow updates and short chapters but I have had literally no motivation to write this story and I'm running out of ideas! I don't know if you's realise this but your comments make me write faster so the more comments, the more updates. Plus school is expecting more of me lately and I've had more homework as usual and like I always say it gets in the way. I hope you guys don't think I'm just using school as an excuse because I'm really not, I like to see how you guys react to each chapter. I don't even know if you guys read these but if you do PLEASE comment on what you think because it means so much to me, honestly. Have a great day/night everyone, love you all.

~Emily
