26. Chapter 26

*Harry's POV*

I woke up laying on the back seat of the car. My head throbbed and my sight was blurry. I could feel something wet on the back of my head. I put my hand on the back of my head and felt a dampness in my hair. I pulled my hand back and it was covered in blood. I looked around for Bo but I could barely see anything. My eyes soon adjusted to the light and my surroundings and I was relieved that Bo was still with me.

"Oh thank god, your alive." She said relieved.

She was sat in the front seat with the gun in her hands, she looked like she'd seen a ghost. Suddenly a huge wave of memories crashed through my head reminding me of what happened. I quickly got up and reached out for her. Bo got in the back seat with me and I pulled her close to my chest.

"Are you okay? What happened? How long was I out for?" I asked.

"You've been out cold for 3 hours or something, y-you got knocked out. There was a zombie behind you, it hit you on the back of your head. I ran over and tried to help but I think it was too late. I don't know if it bit you or not, everything happened so fast. I went around the side of the car and pulled it away from you, it didn't do much but I tried. You were laying with your head on the steering wheel and I grabbed your gun. I tried aiming like you taught me but I didn't have enough time. It hit me and I fell to the ground, but I shot it. I shot it Harry, I killed it." She explained.

I could tell by her voice and her face that she was petrified. I hugged her tighter and whispered reassuring things in her ear.

"Shhh baby it's ok, you're ok. I'm here."

Bo cried into my chest as I rubbed her back with my non-bloody hand. She fisted her fingers tightly into my shirt and held me close to her.

"I thought it bit you Harry. I thought you'd become one of them, and I'd be alone." She said.

I suddenly thought of my head again. It hurt like crazy, it could be a bite.

"Babe I don't want to alarm you, but can you please look at it. Just in case it is a bite?" I asked.

Bo looked at me worriedly and nodded her head. I turned around so she could see my wound. Bo ran her fingers through my hair as gently as she could and examined the injury.

"It doesn't look like a bite, there's a big lump there and a cut, but no bite marks." She said.

I sighed with relief and turned around to see her again. I smiled at her and then suddenly remembered the baby. My smile dropped and Bo looked at me slightly confused.

"Are you okay? Is the baby alright? Did the fall affect the baby?" I asked panicked.

Bo looked at me even more confused.

"What are you talking about Harry?" She asked.

"When you got knocked over, how did you land? Did it affect the baby in any way? Are you and the baby ok?" I repeated.

"Harry, we're fine, I fell on my back. And the baby's tiny, something like that can't possibly affect it." She replied.

"Don't use the word 'it' with the baby, it's a human being, a child, our child." I scolded.

"We don't know if it's a boy or girl though, I can't say him or her." She argued.

"You used 'it' again. Just say anything besides 'it' because it bothers me." I replied annoyed.

Bo looked at me amused and leant forward, planting a kiss to my lips.

"I'm just glad you're ok." She said.

I smiled and kissed her back. We looked out the windows to see if there were any more walkers, no sign of anything. We got in the front seats and I started the car again. We drove off down the street finding a place to hide it.

"I know somewhere we can put it." I said.

Bo looked at me and then out the window. We were fortunate to have found a car that had a quiet engine. I turned down a few streets and parked it in the large alleyway behind our street. By the time we got home it was dark so we had be be weary of walkers. I parked it a few houses away from where we were staying so we didn't bring attention to ourselves. I stopped the engine and we got out of the car. I wrapped my arm protectively around Bo's shoulder and we walked down the alleyway in silence.

Soon we got to our back fence and we climbed over it with ease. I was a little more careful of Bo though. After that experience I realised how fast I could lose her, I didn't want that to happen. We went to the back door and unlocked it, entering the safety of the house.

Bo walked straight to the lounge room and flopped down on the bed. I locked the door and went joined her on the comfortable mattress.

"Let's not go out there for a while." Bo said.

I laughed and agreed, although I knew I'd have to go out there again to get food. I decided to keep that quiet until another day.

*Bo's POV*

"Boooo." I heard a faint raspy voice whisper.

"Boooooo."

I opened my eyes and there was a handsome, green eyed boy above me. I smiled and laughed.

"Good morning Harry." I said tiredly.

Harry smiled and planted a firm kiss to my lips. I smiled against the kiss and closed my eyes. Harry pulled away and leant his forehead on mine, our noses rubbing together.

"Good morning beautiful." He replied.

I moaned and stretched myself out over the mattress. Harry laid down closer to me and wrapped his arms around my hips under the blanket. He tangled our legs together and pulled my shirt up to my belly button. He proceeded to gently draw swirls with his finger on my hips bones. I closed my eyes again and hummed in appreciation. Harry gave me soft, wet kisses on my neck as I put my arm around his shoulder and played with a bit of hair on his head. We stayed like that in silence for a good half an hour and I slowly dozed off to a light sleep.

"Bo, are you asleep again?" Harry asked after a short period of time.

I moaned and opened my eyes in reply. Harry smiled his adorable smile again and moved some hair out of my face. He kissed my nose and sat up in the bed. I found myself staring at his upper body which was currently bare of clothes. I pulled my eyes away from his torso, up to his face and realised he'd caught me staring at his toned muscles and tattoos.

"What were you looking at?" He asked with an amused smile on his face.

I could feel my cheeks heat up and redden. I looked down embarrassed as I could hear Harry quietly laugh. I felt a warm hand grasp my own hand and rub circles over my palm. I looked up and Harry was looking down at our hands.

"How are you feeling?" He asked seriously.

"Fine." I replied.

"How's the baby?" He asked, looking at me worriedly.

I looked back at him in confusion.

"The baby's fine too. Why are you so concerned? I thought you didn't want to have a child, but now that we are your always fussing over it. I didn't think you'd care." I replied.

"One, you used the word 'it' it again. Two, I realised that if we're going to have a baby, then I have to care. And I'm not worried about it anymore. When you think about it, we're going to be parents. Your going to be a Mum, and I'm going to be a Dad. We can't waste our time being worried about it. This will be the best thing that's ever happened to us. We are going to be a proper family." He replied.

I looked at him, relieved that he was willing to be apart of it's life. He was right, we were going to be parents, we were going to have our own child. We should be happy about it. Suddenly a whole lot more feeling came to me about the situation and the life inside of me. I looked down to my stomach and smiled.

"You're right Harry, we're going to be parents." I replied.

Harry looked at me with a grin on his face.

"Can you feel the baby in there?" He asked, nodding his head to my stomach.

"Yeah, kind of." I replied, putting my hand on my stomach.

Harry sat there awkwardly for a minute playing with his fingers.

"Ca-can I feel it please?" He asked nervously.

I smiled and laughed slightly.

"Yeah, but you can't feel anything. And you used the word 'it'." I laughed.

Harry quickly lunged forward onto his stomach and placed his large hands on my belly.

"Harry, you can't feel anything. It's just my stomach." I said.

"Oh well, I don't care. My baby is in there and that's all that matters." He replied, keeping his eyes and hands on my tummy.

I smiled and looked down at Harry looking intently at my belly.

"Do you think we can talk to them and they'll hear us?" He asked.

"I don't think so, not this early. He or she is probably like a sea monkey right now." I answered.

"Oh..." He said quietly.

We stayed like that in silence for a few minutes. Occasionally a few murmurs left Harry's lips, but I didn't catch what he said.

"Do you think it's a boy or a girl?" Harry asked.

"I don't know. What do you think?" I replied.

"Well I don't know, but I'm hoping a girl." He answered.

"Why a girl?" I asked.

"I don't know, girls are hardest to parent so I want the hard one first." He replied.

Harry laid on his back, laying his head on my lap. I ran my fingers through his hair and he closed his eyes and hummed something to himself.

"Girls aren't the hardest to parent, the boys are the difficult ones." I argued.

Harry opened his eyes and looked at me like I was insane.

"Well does that mean you want a boy?" He asked.

"Yeah I guess so." I answered.

"Why?" He continued.

"Well, because if we have a girl after and someone hurts her. Then the boy can go and kick the persons ass who hurt the girl." I replied.

"Well that's what I'm here for, I can easily kick their ass." Harry argued.

I laughed and shook my head. Harry looked up at me with a hint of disappointment in his eyes. I booped his nose and smiled to entice a grin to his face. Harry smiled slightly and played with my free hand.

"You'll be a good Mum." Harry said.

"Thanks, and you'll be a good Dad." I replied.
