Broken Crystals

When Crystal collapses in the middle of the road after another beating, headlights are the last thing she sees. She wakes up in a strange house, surrounded by five strange boys. She refuses to relax around them or be herself. But can the one Irish boy with the beautiful blue eyes show her what it means to be loved and fix her cracks?

90. Three Days Time

Hey guys,

I am so so so sorry as I know I haven't updated in so so so long but I've had so much on and it's been so busy and I've been so... URGH.

Anyway, Broken Crystals is coming to an end soon! But don't worry there will be a sequel and (maybe) one after that too!

So, I hope you enjoy this chapter even thought it is short (sorry again!) but I have free time for a bit so I will be able to updater for you all quite a bit!

Thanks for being patient!

Crystal's POV

"This is Devon Young, who is this speaking?" His words strike panic within me as I slowly realise he's probably expecting someone calling him for work. Not his daughter who hadn't spoken to him in years.
"D-dad? It's Crystal," I manage to splutter and Perrie squeezes my hand in encouragement. My heart is hammering against my chest and I bite back tears. The line is silent for a long time before I hear him draw in a sharp breath.
"Crystal, I-" He starts but then thinks better of it. I didn't want to hear his excuses or his apologies. It would just make this harder.
"I thought it was Sky when I heard you're voice." He says carefully, voice softer than I remember it. My heart pulls in my chest. Sky was my mother's name.
"I-it's me." I whisper, feeling tears threatening to spill.
"I can guess why you're ringing." He states, but his voice doesn't sound as firm as he most likely wants it to. I bite my lip and meet Perrie's eyes. She nods and mouths; "I'm here". I draw in a deep breath and close my eyes as I concentrate on forming the words.
"Dad, I... I wanted to ask you something." I start and he waits for me to continue, his heavy breathing the only sign he's still there.
"I wanted to ask if you wanted to see me."

"What have I done, Perrie?" I exclaim with a shaky breath. After about four minutes on the phone with him we'd agreed to meet in three days time.
"It's okay, it'll be fine." She says softly, running her hand up and down my back comfortingly. I shake my head, panicking.
"I-it's not, Perrie. I-I can't believe I've done t-that," I tremble, my hands shaking. My heart was telling me that I should give him a chance... Let him explain himself. And then... maybe he could be the granndad that Calla desperately wanted. Maybe he had changed. But my head just reminded me of all the pain I went through for all of those years and... he wouldn't be what I hoped he would. The stress was already wearing me out.
"I'll be there, Crystal. It'll be fine. And you'll be in public too so if you want to leave at anytime you can." Perrie says gently, brushing the hair that was sticking to my wet cheeks from tears.
"Shh," She cooes as more tears fall from my eyes and I press my face in to her chest as pain ripples through me.
