Broken Crystals

When Crystal collapses in the middle of the road after another beating, headlights are the last thing she sees. She wakes up in a strange house, surrounded by five strange boys. She refuses to relax around them or be herself. But can the one Irish boy with the beautiful blue eyes show her what it means to be loved and fix her cracks?

20. Second floor

Crystals POV

"Oh my god, Perrie! What is in this?" I exclaim as me and Eleanor lift a box up and lumber it into the elevator.
"Clothes," Perrie shrugs, straightening her hair as we stand in the now cluttered elevator.
"Hang on!" Someone shouts as the doors are about to close. I stick my hand inbetween the doors and they stop closing. A girl with long brown hair that hangs in ringlets down her back rushes into the elevator and breaths a sigh of relief.
"Thank you," she pants, fixing her hair into place.
"You're welcome," I smile shyly at her. She looks down at all of the bags and boxes around out feet and then looks at Perrie.
"Are you the new guys moving in upstairs?" She asks as the elevator begins to go up.
"Yeah," Eleanor says, stretching her back.
"Oh well, I'm Susie." She smiles at each of us in turn.
"I live in the second apartment," Susie explains.
"With my cat so I'm sorry if she ever comes up to your window. She crawls up the drainpipe sometimes," Susie chuckles, her green eyes twinkling.
"Anyway, have fun moving in!' She chimes as the elevator comes to a stop and the doors open.
"I'll bring you some dinner up later on if you want? I was planning on cooking for my friend this evening but she cancelled a few minutes ago," Susie suggests, stepping out of the elevator.
"Sure, that would be great." Eleanor beams at her and I smile too.
"I'll be up at about seven?" She asks and we nod and wave as the door closes.
"She seems really nice," Perrie says and I nod agreeing, as the elevator comes to a stop again.
"Yeah," I reply, picking up a box and beginning to lug it from the elevator and up to the apartment door.
"Right, lets get going!" Perrie chimes, switching on some music on her phone. She places it on the floor in the living room and we begin to move in our boxes and bags. I only had a few but Perrie and Eleanor had loads. Their parents had given them some money to spend on new furniture earlier this week once we had decided that we were going to rent it. They had spent it on two sofas, a large fluffy red rug, some paint and a few rolls of wallpaper. The boys had each given us presents and Niall had literally stocked out my whole room. He had brought me a double bed, a chest of drawers, a large full length mirror, a wardrobe and a bed side table. I had the second largest room with a window seat that overlooked the busy streets of London.
"Crystal! Come help paint!" Perrie shouts from the living room and I place my bags onto the bed before heading out to help.
