Broken Crystals

When Crystal collapses in the middle of the road after another beating, headlights are the last thing she sees. She wakes up in a strange house, surrounded by five strange boys. She refuses to relax around them or be herself. But can the one Irish boy with the beautiful blue eyes show her what it means to be loved and fix her cracks?

54. Scans

Crystal's POV

"Smile," El says with a chuckle, snapping a picture. I was six months along now and... huge. The girls had insisted on taking a picture every week to see how far I'd come along. They were making a huge scrap book with pictures, notes and other things that had happened over the past few months.
"I seriously think I'm more excited than you, Crystal!" Perrie chuckles, looking through the bags of clothes that we had picked out for the baby.
"I doubt it, Perrie." I chuckle too, pulling my top back over my stomach. She winks at me before cooing over one of the dresses for if it was a girl. Me and Niall had both decided to wait and let it be a surprise although I was dying to know now.
"How about names?" El asks, causing me to shrug in response as I take a seat on the sofa.
"No idea," I say, realizing we haven't spoken about it.
"Hmm," El taps a finger to her chin and Perrie chucks a packet of sweets at me.
"For a boy I love Tyler." Perrie says, sitting down next to me.
"I love Chase," Susie adds, pouring lemonade into a tall glass.
"Logan, Chase, Tyler and Brody are my favourites..." I trail off, tapping my finger to my chin in thought.
"What about for a girl?" El asks and I ponder for a few more seconds.
"I have no idea, I like so many." I shrug and Perrie chuckles.
"You lot really are unorganised," She shakes her head at me; eyes twinkling.
"I know." I admit, taking a sweet from the packet and placing it into my mouth. The word 'Calories' still swarms in the back of my mind whenever I ate or drank but I'd learnt to control it. I was no where near as bad now.
"I love the gem names and the Irish too but I really can't decide." I tell them. Me and Niall had had countless phone calls about names and things but we were useless at coming to a final decision.
"Oh my god!" Perrie squeals, looking down at something on her phone.
"What?" El asks her, eyebrows raised.
"LA!" She literally screams in response.
"What about it?" Susie chuckles, sitting down on the sofa opposite. Perrie doens't answer for a while as her eyes scan the phone screen. Finally, she looks up at us all and grins.
"We have a show in LA, in..." She checks her phone again.
"Three weeks! I'd completely forgotten! The boys are in LA too! Oh my god!" Perrie throws her arms around in excitement, causing me to chuckle at her expense.
"That's perfect!" She shrieks and I frown.
"For what?" I ask.
"Susie's birthday!" Susie furrows her eyebrows in confusion so I explain about the date the boys are due to get back.
"And that way Danielle can come too!" El says, smiling too now. Susie ponders for a moment before grinning too. Perrie stands and pulls me up by the wrists, making me dance around with her.
"Sorted. We're going to LA!"

Crystal's POV

Today was the day. I was going to the hospital for my 12 week scan. The girls were coming with me, apart from Danielle who was still away with work. There was only 1 problem. Niall. He had told me he would miss a few shows to try and come, but I wouldn't let him. I'm not going to let him ruin his career for me and this baby. I would never forgive myself.  This would be one of the very few times I'd been out since the boys had left. I was currently sitting at home with Perrie, who is conveniently on break from tour for the next three days. We were both waiting for Eleanor and Susie to come back from shopping, as they always were. I heard a shuffle as a key turns and the front door opened. El and Susie squeezed through the door with at least 5 bags each.
"Girls!" I yelped, scolding them slightly.

" You said you wouldn't buy that much this time!" I say, exasperated, eyeing all of the bags as they drop them onto the floor.
"Sorry Crystal," Susie shrugs, chuckling.

"But, I promise you will absolutely love what we got you." El adds, standing up and stretching out her back.

"God, my feet hurt." She complains, hobbling over to the sofa where she crashes down beside me.

"Well you've got to walk to the hospital now." Perrie chuckles, standing up and fixing her clothes.

"Oh my god, I totally forgot about that." El exclaims, standing too with a groan.

"Can't we take the car?" She groans. I chew on my lip and nod.

"I don't think I can walk very far either. My back has been hurting a lot lately." I look over at Perrie who nods and grabs her bag, phone and keys. We follow her out of the apartment and out to her car. We all pile in and ten minutes later pull up infront of the hospital. I open the passenger door and step out, only to pull my feet back in again.

"What the hell?" Perrie exclaims, shocked. Outside the car and swarming the hospital entrance were crowds of fans.

"Oh god this is all we need," El sighs, running a hand through her hair.

"We need to get in there, I can't miss this scan." I tell them and Susie nods, tapping a finger to her chin.

"Come on, we should go and see them." She says.

"I remember what it's like to be desperate to even catch a glimpse of my favorite celebrities. They've probably been there for hours already." She looks out of the window at them all, who luckily hadn't noticed the car yet.

"Yeah, you're right. Let's go. We still have twenty minutes until your appointment anyway." Perrie says, taking the keys out of the car and getting out. I unbuckle my belt and follow after her, closing the door after myself. The crowds suddenly scream as we approach, the majority of them rushing over.

"Did you want to know the sex?" The midwife asks, thin eyebrows raised in question.

"No, thank you." I deny with a shake of my head. Me and Niall wanted to leave it a surprise.

"I'll just go get the prints for you." She says sternly, face set in stone.

"What's her problem?" El hisses, looking at the monitor.

"No idea." I shrug.

"She's definitely moody." Perrie chuckles.

"Here you go," She reenters, glaring at Perrie before handing me the prints. I pull my top back down and swing my legs off the bed, standing up.

"Thank you," I say, forcing a smile. She doesn't reply and busies herself with turning off the machine. We all head out of the room and back through the hospital. The moment we step outside, more fans bombard us. Questions were rapidly being fired at me and I try to shove my way through, El gripping my hand tightly in front.

"Crap," I mutter, watching as the scan falls to the floor. I swiftly bend down and pick it up; praying to God no one saw it.
