Crystal's POV

I gently close the door, waving a last goodbye to Mrs Hoffman. She'd offered to take care of Calla for the night. I take a deep breath and pull the hood on my coat over my head before heading down the walkway and onto the street. The sun was low in the sky and offering little heat as I walk towards my car that I'd parked up. I get inside and wait for it to warm up before turning it onto the road. I follow the motorway for what feels like hours before I finally arrive outside of the stadium. I grip the 'Special Entrance ticket' that Paul had kindly arranged to have sent to me. I'd made him promise that he wouldn't utter a word about this to anyone. He'd given me his word and I trusted that. I search for a parking space in the farthest corner before hopping out and pulling my hood up again. I weave through the car-park and head towards the entrance which is already cluttered with masses of people. I wait in line before showing my pass to the guy in the booth. He looks at me spectively before holding up a finger. I wait whilst he picks up a phone and begins to say something to someone on the other end. He frowns at me before leaning closer.

"I'm afraid I can't let you through without-" He's cut off by a deep voice behind me.

"She's with me." The voice says and I turn to come face to face with Paul. I look up at him and smile slighlty, mouthing a thank you. Paul shows the boy a security card before taking me away from the crowds. He leads me to the front of the extensive queue and I can feel the weight of people's gazes as we advance. Paul flashes his card several times to different people before I find myself walking along an empty corridor with tons of doors leading off.

"Thank you for keeping this quiet, Paul." I say after a while of silence. He just nods gruffly and offers me a sympathetic smile as we come to a stop outside of a door. He goes to say something before a mass of screams erupts from somewhere nearby.

"He's been bad, Crystal. Really bad." He says, eyes meeting mine. I just nod slowly.

"I know. I'm sorry if he's been havoc but... I just needed to.. get away." I stumble over my words nervously and Paul nods consolingly before heading down the hallway out of sight. I take a deep breath and go to open the door. But before I can reach out for the handle it's slowly pulled open.
Perrie's eyes widen at the sight of me.

She looked... different. Her hair was longer, thicker looking and a darker blonde colour. Her lips were full and painted red whilst her mesmerizing blue eyes still managed to stand out.

"Cryst..." She begins breathlessly before she reaches out to me. I nod, pulling my hood down with tears brimming my eyes before I'm enveloped in her hug.

"I've missed you so so much, Crystal! Oh my god!" She hugs me tighter and I cough slightly, embarrassed.

"I'm sorry, Perrie." I murmur into her jumper.

"Are you coming home? Where's Calla? Is she okay? Does anyone else know you're here? What about Niall does-"

"Perrie," I cut her off sharply, shaking my head.

"You can't tell anyone I'm here, okay?" I ask slowly and she nods after a while.

"God, I've missed you so much." She says and I wipe a stray tear from my cheek.

"We all have," She adds, pulling back again and dragging me into the room. She closes the door as loud music begins to play closeby.

"I'm sorry I didn't say anything about it. Or haven't contacted you... I just needed time away." I say and Perrie's eyes soften with sympathy.

"I just can't believe how long you've been gone." She murmurs and hugs me again. I hug her back and she clears her throat.

"I've got some news..." She grins broadly at me and shyly tucks her hair behind her ear.

"What?" I question, drawing my eyebrows together, thoughts rushing through my head as to what it could be. She lifts up her hand to show me the beautiful diamond ring encasing her ring-finger.

"Oh my god, Perrie... Are you...?" I trail off, my mouth taking a huge smile. She nods and I scream slightly, hugging her.

"Oh my god Perrie! I'm so sorry I didn't know! When did this happen?" I ask and she looks down at her hand in admiration.

"Two nights ago. The public don't know yet," She makes a shh sound and I giggle, excitement overtaking me.

Me and Perrie spend the next hour talking and it ends up with me crying several times. Wiping my eyes, I stand up and check the time.

"So... I know you said not to ask anything but I need to know, Crystal." She looks at me, seriousness in her tone and eyes.

"When are you coming back?" She says softly and my stomach drops. I shake my head slightly.

"I... don't know, Perrie." I reply with a deep sigh as I run my hands through my hair.

"Have you been to see him anymore?" She asks, refering to my father. I nod slightly and she frowns.

"Everything's been... okay though. He took Calla to the beach." I pause slightly before telling her, worried of her reaction. She simply nods and sighs a little before brushing my hair from my face.

"I know how much he means to you Crystal. And I also know how much he means to you too," She whispers the last part, nodding at the door. I nod too as she leans forward and envelopes me in her arms.

"Calla misses Darcy," I say after a while of silence.

"We all miss her too." Perrie replies and I wipe my eyes with the back of my jumper.

"Will you come visit me? I haven't had any company from anyone my own age in... months." I cringe slightly but Perrie nods, smiling.

"Of course I will."

I come out of the bathroom and wash my hands, catching sight of myself in the mirror as the warm water flows over my fingers. My hair was limp and my eyes looked tired. It was verging on half ten now and I hadn't been sleeping very well so it was beginning to take it's toll on me. The concert was still going strong but Perrie had warned me it would be finishing soon. My mind is filled with thoughts as I make my way towards the back-stage room where I knew Perrie was waiting. I push open the door, beginning to tell her something about Calla when my breath catches in my throat.

"Perrie!" I shout, completely in shock.

The boy who I had trusted with everything and had had a baby with was pinning Perrie to the wall by her throat; clear anger evident in his eyes. Her wide eyes find mine and she tries to speak but Niall just shouts even louder. His words are blurred out as my ears ring. She continues to stare at me, eyes pleading for help but I can't move. I'm stationed to the floor with my heart hammering. Niall slowly turns his head to face me and Perrie limply falls to the floor; her body hitting the floor with a horrid noise. I snap my eyes to Niall's face as his lips curve into one of shock. My heart races even faster and buzzing sounds in my ears. The colour rises to my cheeks with anger as I feel his eyes swoop me up and down. Then he rushes towards me and in one swift movement he envelopes me into his arms. I stand stiff and straight, Niall pinning me to his chest. He begins to whisper my name into my hair as his hands travel quickly and forcefully up and down my back. But my eyes find Perrie's. She tries to stand from the floor, hand gripping her throat as she splutters for air.

"Perrie," I stammer, breaking away from Niall with all my force. I rush over to her and help her up, apologising with tears in my eyes. I didn't mean for any of this to happen.
"Perrie, oh my god." I whisper, checking over her neck. It was red and the marks of Niall's fingers are clearly evident.

"Crystal..." I look over my shoulder at Niall as he slowly turns on his heels, facing me. His eyes find mine. I open my mouth to say something but his gaze then falls onto Perrie's.

Perrie's POV

I watch in despair as Crystal flees from the room, tears rolling down her cheeks. Niall makes an attempt to go after her but stops in the doorway. He turns to face me and I look away. I was shaking and my head was throbbing with the pain consuming my neck.

"Perrie." He almost whispers, taking a step towards me. I take a step back and my back hits the wall. Tears threaten to spill and I call out for Zayn with all the strength I have. Niall's eyes darken and he crumples to the floor at my feet. It takes me a moment to realise that he's crying. Sobbing.

I stand frozen for several moments whilst he cries; confused by the sorrowful sounds coming from him. I'd never seen someone... so helpless... so.... so... broken.

"Perrie, I... I'm sorry... I... please..." He stumbles his words out and my heart pangs with sympathy for him. But the pain in my kneck and the shaking of my limbs still causes me to stand, frozen to the wall. Then, ever so slowly, I lower myself to the floor and lift his head onto my lap as he cries harder; tears quickly soaking my legs. He shudders with each sob; pain evident in each cry. I gently run my hand down his back, hypnotically. Trying to calm both myself and him.
