Broken Crystals

When Crystal collapses in the middle of the road after another beating, headlights are the last thing she sees. She wakes up in a strange house, surrounded by five strange boys. She refuses to relax around them or be herself. But can the one Irish boy with the beautiful blue eyes show her what it means to be loved and fix her cracks?

38. Just Before Goodbye

Zayns POV

"I didn't realise it was this dark already," Perrie says as we walk back towards the house. I entwine my fingers with hers as we walk the empty streets.
"Zayn!" She gasps, pointing at something across the road. I squint through the darkness and she drags me towards it. Slowly, my eyes adjust and I can make out the shape of a park.
"Come on," she grins excitedly at me and then hops over the metal fence that surrounds the park. We find a round-a-bout in the center but Perrie looks unsure as we approach it.
"Aw, is Perrie scared?" I ask mockingly, hopping on and spinning it round slowly with my foot. She shakes her head and I stop it so that I land infront of her.
"Come on," I whisper, bouncing a kiss off of her nose. She grins and steps on beside me. She takes a seat and grips the handles tightly.
"Ready?" I ask with a wink and place my hands on the multicoloured bars.
"No," she says, shaking her head. I laugh and begin to spin it.
"This isn't so bad." She decides after a few minutes so I spin it faster.
"Zayn!" She squeals, gripping the bars as her hair flies out behind her. I chuckle and jump on, making my way carefully over to her. She stands up and wraps her arms around my waist; face buried in my coat. It slowly comes to a stop and she looks up at me with round eyes.
"Monkey bars?" She asks with a mischievous tone. I nod and she drags me by the hand towards them. She places her hand on the first bar and swings off the platform so her feet dangle in the air. Perrie makes it half way across with ease so I sneak beneath her and tickle her stomach.
"Zayn! Zayn stop it!" She squeals through screams.
"Not until you let go!" I chuckle and she reluctantly lets go of the bars so she's sitting on my shoulders.
"Put me down!" She shrieks as I spin round and round.
"Fine," I grumble, placing her carefully onto the ground.
"Thank you." She whispers with a small smile. She stands up on her tip-toes and kisses me on the cheek; teasing me.
"Is that all I get?" I ask, pouting.
"Yep," She winks, going to pull away. I grip her wrist and pull her to me.
"I don't think so," I whisper and she bites her lower lip. This time, she kisses me properly and I place my hands on her thighs, lifting her up so that her legs wrap around my waist. I spin around softly while we kiss; smiling as our lips touch.

Louis POV

"Look, Lou!" Eleanor shouts out, pointing across the road. The sun was streaking everything with a warm golden glow as it set.
"What?" I ask, frowning slightly and following her gaze. There was a young girl standing on the side of a path strumming a guitar softly and singing. The guitar was tattered and her withered guitar case was laid out infront of her for people to put money in. She was singing with a beautiful voice; haunting almost.
"Let's go listen." Eleanor suggests and I nod with a smile, letting her lead me over to the girl. We sit down on the grass a few feet away and watch intently as she cradles the instrument in her small hands. She was only about 14; her long hair tied up in a messy bun. She was dressed in dirty clothes that looked three sizes too big for her. She was extremely skinny and really reminded me of Crystal.
"We're on the see-saw but I'm the one to fall, I keep going down down down alone." The girl's voice washes over us and Eleanor's lips break out into a smile.
"She's amazing," She whispers to me and I nod, wrapping my arm around her waist on the grass. She snuggles in to me; laying her head on my shoulder.

It takes me about fifteen minutes of watching the girl singing to realise that no one was paying attention to her. None of them stop. None of them even cast her a glance. After a while, I see her face drop and she goes to put her guitar down with a sigh.
"Wait," I call out, rushing over to her. Eleanor comes up behind me and I pull down my hood.
"Please keep playing." I say softly and her eyes round out as she takes me in.
"You're.... you're..." She stutters, looking between me and Eleanor.
"Please," Eleanor places a hand on her arm and she stares at it in disbelief. I give her an encouraging smile and she slowly bends down to pick her guitar up again in shock.  She places it around her neck and begins to strum shyly. The chords for Nina Nesbitt's 'Just Before Goodbye' float out of the instrument and she begins to sing. I pick Eleanor up and place her on my back; spinning around until she squeals. The girl smiles as she sings and people begin to shoot us weird looks. I pull Eleanor down and the two of us begin to dance as she plays. Soon enough, more people are watching us and the girl and before long some even begin to join in.

"Thank you," The girl says, placing her guitar back into it's case and smiling at the money that she'd received.
"Anytime," I say and Eleanor kisses her cheek softly. She pulls away and the girl blushes. We both watch as she walks away; guitar clutched in hand.
"That was sweet," Eleanor tells me, resting her head on my shoulder. I lean down slightly and kiss her forehead.
"Let's go," I whisper and take her small hand in mine. I lead us down to the edge of the Thames and we sit down on the concrete underneath the hand rails, feet dangling down. We watch as the millions of stars slowly take over the orange sky.

A/N!

Hey guys,
Thank you for all the comments and everything! They really mean a lot to me! I was shocked to see that two of my movellas are on the most popular page of this month under the fan-fiction section! A massive thank you!
Anyway, I was interested in what you thought of the different dates and reading from the boy's povs? Also, what you thought of Susie too?
Molls X
