Angel

(Please don't hate me for starting another fic. I had to do it. It just happened. I'm sorry. But it really is lovely)

Harry Styles has completely lost control of himself to partying, drinking, and girls. Being a member of One Direction has made him forget the things he loved, and most of all made him forget that he is capable of being loved. Simon Cowell is fed up with Harry's dirty antics and has come up with the perfect plan: Emily Sven. Emily is the founder of Kids Helping Kids, a charity that has teens and children helping kids in poverty. She's a perfect angel, exactly what Harry needs to fix his tarnished image. And Uncle Simon is presenting this plan in the form of an offer that neither are able to refuse.

3. Ryan.

In which Harry gets jealous...

“So…If anyone asks, she’s my girlfriend.” Harry drawled out after spending over an hour trying to explain the situation to the boys. It probably could have been a lot easier if Harry had let Emily talk, but he wanted to be the one to explain it all to his friends. And everyone knows Harry Styles takes a long time to tell a story. All eyes were on Harry, and then to Emily, who was sitting next to him, and then back to Harry.

“I get why Simon wants you to do this, but what’s in it for her?” Louis pointed towards Emily, who shifted awkwardly in her seat. She was struggling to find the right words to say.

“60 million dollars in the form of donation to her charity.” Harry answered for her. All the boys’ jaws dropped at the amount of money Simon was willing to pay just to get this girl to fake date Harry. Zayn raised his eyebrows, sizing her up. She was gorgeous, really. She was long and lean, curvy and seductive, her green eyes popping against her long, lush black hair. But there was something innocent about her, something pure. She wasn’t exactly Harry’s type, which consisted of tall, plastic bimbos. She seemed more like…Like Zayn’s type. It didn’t surprise him that Simon had forced Harry into this; it was only a few years back when Zayn had to date Perrie Edwards from Little Mix for publicity. But it was all to make both bands more popular. What was so special about Emily Sven other than her looks?

“Simon calls her an angel,” Harry’s voice broke Zayn from his trance; it was like he had read Zayn’s mind, “she’s never done anything wrong in her life. She’s 22 and her life has been dedicating to helping the less fortunate. She’s beautiful, kind, driven, and flawless. She’s the kind of girl you would settle with. She’s perfect for resurrecting my image.” Harry droned on like a robot, letting out the basics of Simon’s previous words to him and Emily. Emily tensed at Harry’s description of her. Just a few hours earlier she felt as though she had made a breakthrough with Harry. He was being nice to her, he was sweet, but now he was cold and harsh. It was like he was bipolar or something. She hated it. She hated him. It’s not like she wanted to do this, she just had to because how could she turn down a 60 million dollar donation?

“Angel, huh?” Zayn was intrigued. He couldn’t seem to keep his eyes off of this girl. And Harry didn’t like it one bit.

“Well, we should get going, Emily has an event to plan for. I’ll drive you home.” Harry abruptly stood up, clearing his throat. He didn’t like the attention that Zayn was giving Emily. Even though she was only his fake girlfriend, she was still hers. If there was one thing Harry didn’t like, it was people trying to take what was his. And she was his, and in their own twisted way, he was hers, too.

“Yeah, I’m hosting a charity ball on Friday. Obviously Harry is going to be there as my date, but I would love it if you guys could come too.” She smiled sweetly at them all. They all just nodded; they were all in awe of the beauty and perfection of this one girl. She dug into her purse and pulled out 4 invitations to her event, handing them to each man.

“We wouldn’t miss it for the world.” Louis piped up, standing to hug Emily goodbye. He wasn’t quite sure why Harry was rushing her out, but Louis being the closest to Harry, thought it might have something to do with the way Zayn couldn’t keep his eyes off the girl.

“Yeah, this is wonderful, I’ll definitely donate!” Liam hugged Emily next.

“Me too!” Niall’s loud voice boomed through the room.

“It was lovely to meet you, Emily.” Zayn kissed Emily on the cheek, making her blush. Harry and Louis weren’t the only ones who had noticed the way Zayn was staring at her. And to be honest, if this wasn’t all happening, Zayn would probably be the one she would want to date. But she couldn’t, and it was all because Harry Styles had to be a womanizer.

“Thanks for the ride, Harry. I had a good time today.” Emily stepped out of Harry’s car, smiling at him before closing the door.

“Yeah whatever.” He muttered before speeding off. What was his deal? Emily couldn’t figure him out, and she didn’t even know if she wanted to. Harry seemed un-saveable at this point. It’s like he didn’t want to let anyone in. Not that Emily blamed him, people were complex, and it was easy to get hurt. Since Ryan she had been very cautious of dating, not that she had time to date. But he had broken her. He had been able to give her so much hope, and then he took it all away just as easily. She remembered that night like it was yesterday.

“What’s this?” Emily slowly turned around, the small piece of fabric hanging off of her index finger.

“Nickers? Aren’t they yours?” Ryan barely looked up from his phone as he sat in his bed. It was their 1 year anniversary and Ryan had just treated Emily to a lovely dinner, often telling her how much he loved her, and how he didn’t know how to live without her, and then brought her back to his place.

“I don’t own anything like this.” Emily looked down at the leopard print lace thong, wrinkling her nose and dropping it on the duvet where Ryan was resting. His eyes widened and his throat clenched. After months of cheating, Ryan had finally been caught. And the worst part about it? He barely even felt guilty. Sure, Emily was a brilliant girl, but she gave him too much, and Ryan wasn’t worth it. So Ryan did what he always did, he pushed her away.

“I’m sorry.” He looked down at his hands, not able to meet her eyes.

“I think I’m going to be sick.” She sat down on the side of the bed, resting her head in her hands. She didn’t put up a fight, she didn’t yell, she didn’t scream, and she certainly didn’t slap him across the face as he had hoped. No, her reaction was much worse. Instead of being the strong, determined girl he had come to love, she had given up. Her soft sobs were enough to break him.

“Emily, please, let me explain.” He reached over to touch her arm, but she pulled away.

“No, I am going to go home, and you are not going to stop me. We’re done Ryan. It’s over.”

“I’m so sorry, Em. I really do love you. So much. Please don’t go. I need you!” Ryan scrambled out of the bed, taking Emily’s hands into his.

“Goodbye Ryan.” Emily stood up, shaking Ryan off of her, a tear sliding down her cheek. And in that moment, Ryan Timmermans broke. If anyone thought he was unfixable before, this moment destroyed him. Because if there was one person in the world who could have fixed him, it would have been Emily Sven. But not it was too late because he had officially pushed her to her limit.
