One Way or Another

Jenkins Ocean is nothing but a trouble maker after her parent's death. She's at an orphanage since she's not 18 yet. Her dad's all-time best friend since high school -Simon- decides that he's interfering.

Taken in by Simon Cowell, she meets what seemed at first the pain in the ass called One Direction. They all seemed nice to her, everyone but bad boy Zayn, though Zayn's not really fond of her either.

6. Wine fight and blackmailing advice

How could he be such a jerk? We all knew he was pretending and still he lost the bet. I glared at him.

"What do you mean you used my favorite wine?" He asked, his jaw still on the floor.

"Close your moth, bad boy, there are flies here." I said. "I just said hand me some wine and they gave me that one."

"But that one is really good." He closed his moth, pouting.

"I prefer Californian wines, or Australian." I answered.

"Are you serious? Wine from California or Australia? You're insane."

"I'm not. I just happen to know about wine." I mocked.

He glared at me and walked near me. The boys were sitting still, watching us, when Louis whispered to Harry, "This is better than going to the Theater. Anything can happen."

When I heard that I turned to them. "Can I get you some soda? Popcorn?" I asked, sarcastically.

"You know nothing about wine! Every one knows French wine is better than your California or Australia." Bad boy said.

"Have you ever tried wine from California or Australia?" I asked him and he didn't answer. "That's what I thought. I used to think the same until I tried Californian and Australian. You should try them. They're good." I said. "Now, change of topic, how was the chicken?" I asked as I turned to the boys.

Louis raised his hand. "Before I answer to that, I now declare you husband and wife." He said and I glared at him and pretended to throw up. He wasn't bad looking, but I hated he was so vain. Vain Zayn? Everything made sense, I thought sarcastically. "Back to the question, it was delicious." All the boys nodded but the bad boy.

I glared at all of them and walked away. When I was about to climb up the stairs, I heard Li yell at me, "ZAYN! Come back here! It's your turn to wash the dishes!" I groaned and walked back to the kitchen.

The lads and the brain washer were laughing. They all stood up and walked out of the kitchen. Liam walked back in. "What is it, Li?" I asked, annoyed.

"Be sure to also clean the floor and windows." He said and I glared at him. "I'm kidding. You and Jen could really be friends. She needs friends right now, Zayn, and if you could help with just being her friend it would be nice. I'm not asking you to marry her. All I'm saying is Simon said to be nice to her."

"She isn't nice to me." I said and kicked the floor. Liam laughed at my childish actions when I didn't get my way.

"You started it, Zayn. She was just watching a movie on the couch and you just came in and yelled at her."

"She told you that, didn't she? That's a lie."

"Yeah, then what happened according to you?" Li asked.

"Well, I came in and I was going to the kitchen when I heard her laugh and went to ask her whoever she was and whatever she was doing here."

"And then you asked who she was hooking up with. That's not very friendly, especially since she is a guest here."

"If she is a guest, then when is she leaving?" I asked.

"I don't know, Zayn. We're doing this for uncle Si. He's really sad and wanted to help her. She was in an orphanage, Zayn, because her entire family was coming back from a family trip and she had to stay because of her school and the plane fell down. She's what's left of her family."

"Well, I'm not being nice to her if she's not nice to me." Li laughed and walked out of the kitchen.
