JEN'S POV

Who did he thought he was? I mean, I wasn't really happy with this either. It was a billion times better that the orphanage, but I felt weird living at their house. I walked into my room and slammed the door shut. I collapsed on my bed and groaned. As I was still groaning, there was a knock on the door. "Jen, it's Liam." He said from the other side of the door. I got up from the bed and opened the door. "Are you alright?" He asked.

"Yeah, why wouldn't I?" I asked and he shrugged.

He looked down. "I guess I thought you'd feel sad after what you said to Zayn about not having anyone else in the world. And that's not true. You have us now."

"Thank you, Liam, but I feel really awkward with all this. I mean, living in your house, eating your food, being with you-" I was saying.

"No, Jen, stop it." He spat. "You can't think like that. This is your home now. We are your new family." As soon as he said that, Zayn walked by.

"No, Li, no! If you keep being nice to her, she'll never leave!" He yelled at Liam.

Liam just glared at him and pointed to a door and said, "Now." Zayn sighed and walked through the door Liam had pointed.

"I'm not sure I'm over my family yet." I said, looking down. And then I felt Liam's arms around me in a hug. "Maybe I shouldn't have ever left Washington." I whispered.

"No, don't say that. And we will never replace your family. We're the brothers you never had. The ones who will interrogate your boyfriends and go with you to your dates to be the third wheel." Liam whispered.

I laughed because I had really pictured the boys doing all that things and more. And I also pictured uncle Simon doing the same. Liam pulled away.

We heard Zayn call from inside the room, "No, Liam, she's not supposed to stay! You're supposed to scare her away not scare her future dates away so she stays! You're doing everything wrong!"

Liam and I laughed and he rolled his eyes. "Don't mind him. Trips let out the worse of him." He said.

"Does he travel everyday?" I asked to my self and Liam chuckled. I went back to my room to continue watching the movie that Mr. Intimidating had interrupted.

ZAYN'S POV

I was walking downstairs with my duffel bag on the shoulder, when I saw Liam talking to her. I heard him say"...Is your home now. We are your family now."

What? No! She couldn't stay! I panicked and yelled at Liam, "No, Li, no! If you keep being nice to her, she'll never leave!"

Liam glared at me and pointed at my room that had to be across the corridor from her. Lucky me, I thought sarcastically. I walked into my room when Liam said, "Now." and I closed the door, pouting.

I answered a few texts from my family and then I heard Liam say to her, "No, don't say that. And we will never replace your family. We're the brothers you never had. The ones who will interrogate your boyfriends and go with you to your dates to be the third wheel."

Li! She's got to leave! So, I yelled at them, "No, Liam, she's not supposed to stay! You're supposed to scare her away not scare her future dates away so she stays! You're doing everything wrong!" And they laughed. I laughed too because I later realized how childish I had sound. Liam opened the door in the middle of his laughter and I pouted my lips.

"Zayn, she arrived here two days ago."

"Why hasn't she left? When will she leave?"

"You remember that she said she had no one in the world?" Li asked me.

"Yeah," I answered, remembering our fight downstairs.

"Well, that's true. Her parents are dead and she's really got no one but uncle Si. He's the closest thing she has to family now. Simon said we had to take care of her."

"But why us?"

"Because she's just like you, Zayn. We know you and you're really nice. We're getting to know her, but she's really nice too. Yesterday, she made us dinner. She made pasta. It was great and she said that today she'd make chicken. And you love chicken."

I pouted again and my stomach groaned when I pictured chicken. I was so hungry Liam had started to laugh about my stomach's groans.

"I don't promise anything." I said.

Liam shook his head and walked out of my room.
