One Way or Another

Jenkins Ocean is nothing but a trouble maker after her parent's death. She's at an orphanage since she's not 18 yet. Her dad's all-time best friend since high school -Simon- decides that he's interfering.

Taken in by Simon Cowell, she meets what seemed at first the pain in the ass called One Direction. They all seemed nice to her, everyone but bad boy Zayn, though Zayn's not really fond of her either.

42. Plan a plan and mission one

I was happy to be with Cupcake, but I was even happier —if possible— because I wasn't the only miserable one. That sounds awful, but what I mean is that we both had missed each other and were absolutely happy to be here right now. I still didn't get —Li wouldn't tell— why had they made us pretend to date, not that I regret a thing, because maybe we wouldn't have ended up falling in love. As philosophical as I was feeling, I could go on and on about bow Love was crazy and made you do stupid stuff, but I guess I won't even start, because one, I'm trying to sleep —it's two AM— and two, I was too busy regretting all the soda I drank thanks to a bet with the lads. Cupcake had been calling Uncle Si, so luckily she hadn't seen all the sodas, and though I guess she saw a lot.

My wondering was disturbed by a knock on the door. "Zaynie boy, are you asleep?" I heard Niall sing. I laughed and opened the door, which lead to Louis and Niall falling over my feet. "I guess that's a yes." He said as they got up. We went inside my room and sat on my bed.

"So, have you talked to her yet about staying?" I asked them, hoping they had, because I really wanted her to stay. A month was really long, especially when I'm in a bad mood, which was all the time since I missed her and I felt miserable.

Louis nodded as an answer. "She says she's going back to Glasgow in a week." He said and I looked down. Maybe there was no way we could be together. But then Louis said, "But I have a plan." And he told us and it was brilliant! Louis was a complete love genius! We should start calling him Cupid.

The next morning, after a good night's sleep, Louis, Niall and I were ready to begin with Pumpkin Peach Plan —named by Niall after the peaches Cupcake and I had eaten in Barcelona. We wouldn't tell the others because it would be too obvious.

The plan was simple. Not let her find the things she would need when she left, so she wouldn't leave. We'd keep her passport, suitcases, Batman, her cellphone. Everything.

I was happy. Really happy. Fruit loop and I were hanging out a lot and I had missed the boys a lot, so we're hanging out again. Everything is perfect, except for the fact that I leave in a week. It breaks my heart, but Uncle Simon did too much for me. I can't waste it.

We had already finished breakfast and Harry and I were going to get a collar for Batman. He had forbid me to buy one in Glasgow because he had wanted to choose it too, so we were on our way to the pet store —with Paul, obviously— to buy some cat stuff.

"So how have you guys been?" I asked the two men that walked with me. Harry looked as cute as ever with Batman, while Paul and I discreetly laughed at him. I don't know why, but Harry's cuteness was one of the funniest things in the universe.

"We're fine, right, Batman?" Harry answered with the high pitched voice you use when you're with animals. Paul and I just let out a laugh, increasing Harry's annoyed glares towards us.

"This is going to be a long day." Paul told me and I nodded. It was indeed going to be long, but it was also going to be a lot of fun thanks to Harry and Batman. I could totally picture Harry taking pictures with fans and the cat. Mental reminder: check for today's pictures of Harry on Twitter tonight. What had I gotten my poor little kitten into?

I was in the middle of a secret mission inside Cupcake's room to find her passport, but just when I was talking it from the drawer, someone behind me cleared his throat. I knew it was a 'he' because of the tone. Slowly, I turned around, trying to think about some excuse, but when I saw Liam, I relaxed a little. He walked near me and took the passport from my hands. I cursed under my breath. Liam looked at me, silently demanding an explanation, but I just stood there, on my knees, with a smile plastered in my face to explain that I had my reason for successfully completing my mission, but apparently, it wasn't enough, so I stood up and walked to the living room followed by Liam, who wasn't happy. Not one bit.

Once in the living room, Niall, Louis and I were interrogated by a furious Liam. We explained everything, but Louis and Niall were glaring at me during the entire interrogation. I couldn't believe —and neither had them— I had blew up our mission, but at the end of all our explanation, Liam decided he would help us. It was a good thing, because every time something bad happened, Liam could always talk to Cupcake and everything would get better.
