4. Lost

We sang another successful concert in San Diego. Our fans were amazing people. We met more of them backstage, signed more autographs, and took a lot of pictures. We were back on the road, heading towards Los Angeles when our tour bus began to swerve. There was a pain in my head. I heard voices all around me. I couldn't move at all.

There were loud sirens and I was being lifted into another vehicle of some sort. After a brief ten minutes, I heard beeping sounds. People were talking, but I could pick up a few words. One of them stood out to me. Coma. How long would I be out? Will they post-pone the tour? What exactly happened? Everything was beginning to fade away.

ANGELA'S P.O.V.

As soon as I received a call from Harry telling me that Louis was in the hospital and drove there as fast as I could. The minute I arrived, I saw the boys and Louis' girlfriend, Eleanor were sitting in the lobby. "I came as fast as I could." I said. "How is he?" I asked. Harry shook his head and tears began to form in my eyes.

Harry stood up, walking over to me as he hugged me. He rubbed my back and I just cried. I held him tighter. Thoughts of Louis ran through my mind. We've only known each other for a week, but it felt like I've known him forever. "It's going to be okay." Harry said as I nodded, wiping my tears away as we released from the hug.

My dad walked out with a clipboard in his hand. My parents were back from their trip and my sister was at home with our mom. "Are you all here to see Louis Tomlinson?" he asked us and we all nodded. "Please tell me he's okay." Eleanor said.

"I'm afraid he's not going to be okay for a while." My dad said. I knew that there was going to bad news. I could tell by the sound of his voice and I began tearing up again. My dad reached out and hugged me as I just cried. "Is it that bad daddy?" I asked, looking up at him. "It's bad sweetheart. He's gone into a coma." he said.

"Will his memory be lost forever?" Niall asked.

"Not forever." My dad said as I pulled away from him. "He'll have parts of his memory that he can remember, but not all of it. It'll take a lot of time until he gets all of it back, or most of it." I said. Having a dad as a doctor and a mom as a teacher was one of the reason why I went to a better college than most of my friends. "Can we see him?" Eleanor asked.

I didn't mind Eleanor being here with us. I just wanted me and Louis to be alone in a room together. "Yes, you can see him. He's right down this hallway, last door on your left." My dad said. The boys and Eleanor walked down the hallway. Shortly, I followed right behind them and entered Louis' room.

Louis looked so peaceful in the hospital bed. Eleanor went and sat down in the chair next to his bed, taking his hand. She began to caress it while the guys and I were on the other side of the bed.

"Ange, are you coming?" Harry asked as everyone walked out of the room. "No, I'm going to stay for a bit." I said as he nodded. "You know, if you want to talk, the guys and I will be here for you." he smiled.

"Thanks Harry. I appreciate it." I smiled and bid him good night. Once I was alone in Louis' room, I took his hand and gently ran my thumb against it. I intertwined our fingers and admired them for a moment. I never realized that they perfectly fit each other. I smiled to myself, then leaned over and kissed Louis' cheek. "Good night Louis. I'll be back tomorrow." I stood up, looking at him one last time and left the room.

LOUIS' P.O.V.

I heard a door open and close to my room. I couldn't open my eyes, but I felt a girl's hand caress mine. It felt soft. I heard people talking. It was a guy and a girl. The guy's name was Harry, but the girl's name bothered me a bit. I heard the door close and felt a hand. A new hand. It was probably the girl's hand.

The feel of her hand was different. There was a sensation when her hand touched mine. I felt something warm against my cheek. It was only for a brief second, but it felt like it was still there. I heard her say something. Her voice sounded like an angel. It was so beautiful. She said: 'Louis.' Was that my name? Was my name Louis?

Suddenly her hand disappeared. I tried to reach out and grab it, but I physically could not move. Where am I? I am so confused. I was stuck in a daze. I didn't know for how long. To me, it seemed like forever; it felt like forever; and it was forever.

Months passed and I opened my eyes. I looked around the room, only to see that I was in a hospital. A man was there and a girl was standing next to him. There were other people in the room too. How long have they been there? "Good to see you're finally awake." The man said. He was wearing a white coat and scrubs. He was the doctor. "Where am I?" My voice sounded hoarse, but I was surprised that I was still able to talk.

"You're in a hospital." he said. My guess was right. The white walls, the horrid smell, and the clothes that I was wearing. "Do you know who you are?" he asked.

"Louis Tomlinson." I said.

He asked me a few more questions. I guessed that they were checks to make sure that I didn't forget anything important. "Thank you and one more thing: do you know who these people are?" He motioned towards the other people in the room. I looked at them and they all seemed familiar to me, except for one.

"You must be... Harry." I motioned towards the guy with curly hair. After that, their names came easy to me. "I don't know her." I motioned towards the girl with the long black hair. She was beautiful, but her name escaped me. She didn't look at me, or anyone else in the room and quickly left.

"Did I hurt her feelings?" I asked.

"She'll be fine. She's a strong girl." The doctor said, then left the room. Deep down inside, I felt bad for the girl who had run out of the room. I didn't even know who she really was and I hurt her. I sat up in bed, then swung my legs over the side of the bed. "Lou, you can't walk yet." Liam said.

I ignored him as I stood up. I felt wobbly for a moment, then slowly made my way to the door. "Babe, do you need help?" Eleanor asked me. I gripped the door handle, holding onto it for a moment. "I'll manage." I said, opening the door and walking out of the room.

I went into the cafeteria where I saw the girl sitting down at a table eating something. As I walked closer, she looked up but was about to move and I said, "Don't leave." She stayed in her seat as I pulled out a chair and sat down. "I'm sorry I don't remember you." I said.

"It's okay." she smiled, but it looked like she was trying to be happy for me. "I'm Angela." Her name was beautiful. I haven't heard a name like hers before. "You have a beautiful name." I smiled.

"Thanks." She ate her ice cream and asked me if I wanted any. "Oh, sorry. I..." She went silent and continued eating her ice cream. "I'm Louis." I told her.

She smiled, "Nice to meet you." Her smile was incredible, but I had no recollection of having any memories with her. A part was still a bit foggy and I had wish I had known her. I felt bad that I was talking to Angela, who was a girl I met at the hospital.

"The guys told me you were here." Eleanor walked up to the table with a smile. Angela stood up, taking her bowl and threw it in the trash. I watched her walk out of the room. A part of me wanted to follow her, but did I have a reason to? That... I wasn't sure about.

Finally I was back in my room and I laid down in the bed. "Have fun on your adventure to the cafeteria?" Harry asked with a smile. Not really, no. I answered in my head, but I didn't say anything to him. I was still thinking about Angela. Did she mean something to me? Was I in love with her before the accident? I. Was. Lost.
