8. Make-up? Pshh ..

As I am thinking about the capital, she says to me, “You got that?” I quickly reply yes and sit on my bed with my hands on my head and my eyes looking down. She said, “I know this is difficult to you but you have to do this in order to survive. I know you don’t want your friends to get hurt but if one of them doesn’t make it, they will always be with you no matter what happens. I’m telling you this because it is very true and don’t let that slow you down.” It’s difficult you say? Wow, you have no idea. Anyway, that was really helpful about my friends because a few of them are in these games. She is right because I would hate if that slowed me down. Right now all I can think about is positive thoughts. She said that it was time for my designers. I’m sort of confused but I just go along with it and follow her through the hall and into a living room. I see a woman and a man. The lady has this brown wig on that I notice it was slightly crooked; she had shiny white teeth and a wacky polka-dotted long sleeved shirt. She had on 3 quarter shorts on and they were purple. Carol told me her name was Nichole. I thought to myself, “For a designer, she needs to get a better wardrobe.” At least the man looked a little sophisticated. He had real hair this time and his hair was blonde with brown natural highlights. He had a white shirt with a black tie and some long pants. They were both wearing sneakers. Carol told me his name was Jay. I was kind of scared of the girl but I just kept my head held high and walked forward. I mean what are they going to do with me? Play dress up? They started to examine my face and body. Then they sat me in a chair and got to work.
