37. Zayn's place

My mom picked me and Priscilla up from the school at 4:30. Now I know what your thinking, "Why the hell are you two at school till 4:30?" Well, we are at school so late because we had softball try outs from 2 p.m till 4:30 p.m. That means we were at school for a total of ten hours straight. The softball coach was already strict and mean but the fact that she was pregnant just made everything worse. Thankfully, the freshman team's coach was really nice and chill and grew very close to his players.  Since everyone made the team freshman year, it also mean we had a ton of sucky players. We didn't even have a good pitcher because the freshman pitcher was moved up to play junior varsity. But enough of softball, I was too tired from it anyway. We dropped Priscilla of at her house and then headed home. Liam would be picking me up at six so I didnt have much time to get ready to go to Zayn's house. I hastily threw my sweaty, sore body into the shower and freshened up. I then put on a cute pair of jeans,  a lace button up shirt and my new combat boots because after all it was November and the temperature had dropped slightly. I had just finished putting my hair in a fishtail braid when I saw Liam's headlights flash in my driveway. I yelled a quick "goodbye" to my parents and ran out to meet Liam. I jumped into his awaiting arms and  he kissed me quickly on the lips and as usual, the sparks flew. Then, we were off to Zayn's place. Zayn lived in eastern Palm springs, the farthest away from the beach which meant it was also the farthest away from Liam and I's homes. But eventually we pulled into Zayn's driveway. I knew it was Zayn's house before we even pulled into the driveway because I saw the large Harley Davidson's motorcycle parked in the driveway along with Harry's red convertible and Niall's jeep. Liam parked next to the jeep and came around to open my door. As I took Liam's hand and got out of the car I took in Zayn's house. The house was huge and very modern looking. There were large rectangular black windows sprawled all over the house making it look unique. The house's color was a light nice tan, like the glow that a person gets at the beginning of summer. Liam walked me to the front door and Zayn let us in.

"Hey honey bunches," Zayn said sarcastically as he pulled me in for a hug. He really was like one of my best friends now. I was surprised by how close we had grown together.  I smiled to myself as I remembered my first encounter with Zayn Malik on the first day of school.  I guess what they say is right about how opposites attract. Zayn and I were complete opposites. He had dark hair and carmel eyes and I had blonde hair and blue eyes. I was outgoing and talkative and Zayn was mysterious and only talked to you when you got to know him.  After Zayn and Liam said their hellos Zayn lead us down a  long hallway with lots of paintings on the walls. I paused at one painting in particular. The painting was of a single red rose in a clear vase.  Depending on the distance from which you stood, the painting changed. From further away it looked like an ordinary rose but, it was only when you were inches away that you could see it's real beauty. The flower was obviously in full bloom because each of it's petals were opened up. It was only then that I noticed the extreme detail that had went into the painting. The rose's petals were made up of billions of tiny red hearts . The hearts were aligned so perfectly that if you didn't stand close enough you wouldn't notice them.

"Are you coming Bre,"Zayn called from where Liam and him were standing at the end of the hall. I pulled my attention away from the incredible artwork, nodded and ran over to the boys.

"Did you paint all of these?" I asked Zayn as I gestured towards the walls. Zayn nodded shyly.

"There incredible," I beamed happily. Zayn chuckled and shook his head.

"There alright I guess,Zayn replied modestly.

"Yeah, okay," I said sarcastically as I took the lead in front of the boys. Learning how good of an artist Zayn really was just concluded something I already knew. Zayn and Priscilla were perfect for each other.
