Liam's P.O.V

I pulled my car into my driveway and walked around the car to open the door for Bre. I opened the door and Bre slowly got to her feet. I looked deep into her crystal blue eyes. She looked so frail and weak, certaintly  not like the lively Bre I knew and loved. Bre looked broken. I opened my arms and pulled her into a warm and tight embrace. I rested my chin on her head and we stayed hugging like that for a while until the wind picked up causing me to shiver. I scooped Bre up, cradled her in my arms and walked into my house. My parents weren't home and were out of town for the whole month of September for a business trip in Aruba, so I had the house to myself. I looked down at Bre having no idea what to do with her. She looked so peaceful with her eyes shut so I carried her up to my room and laid her down on my bed. I went back downstairs and grabbed some ice out of the frezzer. Man did my hand really hurt after punching that moronic Sal Davies in the jaw. I hated Sal. I had went to school with him for as long as I could remember and I always had a bad opinion of him. Sal was ignorant and certainly loved taking advantage of pretty much anyone. I shook my head in disgust and grabbed a blanket off the sofa for Bre. When I got back to my room she was propped up on one arm. Her eyes penetrated me with such force they made me forget what I was thinking. I knew Bre for a really long time. And by "knew" I mean I knew her name and what she looked like but I had never actually talked to her until now. I remembered seeing her for the first time when we were in elementary school. I was a fifth grader, she a third grader. It was my first day of fifth grade and grades 3-5 were outside on the playground. Bre had her hair in two braids that day and she was wearing a tan sweater and jeans. I had thought she was cute but our grade difference had kept us from talking. Bre had been really cute then but now that she was here laying on my bed she was just, wow. I had recalled how just this morning I had asked Zayn why he was late to history. Zayn had smiled stupidly and started to describe and blonde-haired freshman with gleaming blue eyes that he had bumped into. And then I saw her walk into the cafeteria during lunch and I just couldn't take my eyes off of her. Shortly after Bre had walked into the caf, Zayn had come in and walked right over to her. I looked back on how Zayn had hugged her and me feeling all strange and angry inside. It was weird because I never was the jealous type, especially with my best mates but there was just something about Bre. When Zayn had sat down at lunch this afternoon I called dibs immediately and there was nothing Zayn could do about it. I wonder if Bre even liked me. I shook my head and pulled myself back to reality

"You wanna talk about it," I asked eyeing Bre closely. She shook her head "no" immediately so I just took the blanket and wrapped her in it. I then climbed over her and took off my shirt that had Bre's tears and make up all over it. Although I was completely exhausted, I couldn't fall asleep because my mind was running wild.It was around 11:30 p.m when Bre fell asleep. I propped myself up and looked down at her. I tucked a streak of her golden  wavy hair away from her face and smiled. She must have been having a good dream because she had a tiny grin. I leaned in and pressed my lips to her cheek and then I too fell asleep.
