One Month

Liam and Danielle broke up -- Again. Management doesn't want the media to give Liam a bad image, so they set him up with an actress. They have no idea what they both signed up for. Once they meet face to face, they realized that they already dated. They both want out, but management has them stay together for at least a month; then, if they don't like it, they can split. But a split for another couple might come early.

~Jennifer's POV~

The concert the next day was a horrible experience! Don't get me wrong, the boys sang well; I mean, it is One Direction but Louis.

He did all he could to tease me. In the process, he made sure that neither El nor Liam suspected a thing about his constant flirting.

Eleanor kept thinking he was singing to her in the crowd, but he made eye contact with me with that stupid little smirk of his. His eyes showed me that he meant the songs he sang to me about love. But he didn't love me, he couldn't love me.

I actually felt sorry for El, she talked about him all the time and she actually cared for him. If only she knew. I wasn't going to tell her, no way! It would ruin a perfect friendship and an even more perfect relationship, but she had to know.

As the show ended, Eleanor and Perrie dragged me backstage to go congratulate the boys on another flawless performance. I could see the boys walk back and I wouldn't dare look at Louis, but I stayed focus on Liam.

"What'd you think babe?" Liam ran up to me with his arms wide open.

I reached out for him and he enveloped me into a hug, "It was amazing, as always." He pulled away and smiled. He went over to talk to Harry and Niall, who were isolated in their own conversation. Zayn joined with them shortly after, leaving Perrie to talk to me.

"You never told me what happened." Perrie spoke strictly.

I tilted my head, "What do you mean?" I was genuinely confused; what would Perrie, one of my only friends, accuse me of?

She laughed, "Well, both you and Louis were drinking heavily and when you both disappeared, we all knew that nothing good happens when you get drunk with Louis." Oh, that's what she means.

"It was a drunk mistake! We didn't even know what happened until we woke up." I stressed out, biting my nails, "It wasn't even a big deal."

"But how do you think El would feel if she found out? She really loves him and knowing that one of her 'friends' had S-E-X with him, she'd spiral into a deep depression."

I exhaled, "Who said she was going to know, anyways? You didn't tell her did you?!"

Perrie looked me dead in the eyes, "She's bound to find out, but I'm not telling her. You and Louis have to."

My eyes lingered on how lovey Louis was holding on to El; so protective, but yet so delicately, "I can't ruin a relationship, I usually help relationships."

"Then help El by telling her the truth." With this, I started to feel ill in the stomach, so I walked away from Perrie, unable to speak to anyone.

~Perrie's POV~

I watched Jen walk down the hall, probably to use the powder room, when I over heard Liam's conversation between Zayn, Niall, and Harry.

"Does she suspect anything?" Zayn questioned.

Liam huffed, "No, but I hope she won't be upset." He looked upset, as if the thing he was hiding was extremely bad.

"You're going to tell her?!" Niall widened his eyes. Tell who what? What's happening?

"I have to. It'll hurt her more that it hurts me. We all know what happened a couple of nights ago and I only did it to keep her away from Lou."

Harry spoke up, "Yeah, because we all knew Lou is the kind of guy to cheat. Sarcasm by the way, uh, hello?! Louis would break up with El sooner than cheat on her. How do we know this happened anyways?"

I figured out that they were talking about Jennifer and I got tired of the gossip, "Hey boys! Great job today! When do you leave for America?"

"This weekend, I think, why?" Harry swallowed hard, looking slightly guilty; he should.

"Because I wanted to know when I can plan a day with the girls again." I lied with a light smile. So not only is Liam in a fake relationship, but Jen thinks it's real, and Louis and Jen did the dirty and El didn't know. Wow, that's a lot of drama.

"I don't think we should go out tonight, you boys need to pack and get ready for your trip in three days!" I added swiftly, before Jen rejoined me.

"I'm tired," she whined, "let's go home, Liam."

His smile no longer fooled me, I knew he was unhappy with the way he's playing Jennifer, "Sure, babe." Liam was a better liar than I expected, but knowing him, he was going to spill any moment.

Unlike Jen and Lou; they planned on keeping that a secret, even though everyone else already suspected what happened. Except for El, of course.

The drive stopped everyone at their individual destinations. Harry and Niall went to a club, as a usual night for them. Eleanor was dropped of at her university's campus and Louis was dropped off at his flat. Finally, Liam and Jennifer were dropped off at their place, leaving Zayn and me left on the bus.

When we reached the flat Zayn and I shared, I peeled off my outfit and settled into my fluffy pajamas. Zayn slipped out of his clothes and stayed in his boxers while laid next to me in the bed.

"Do you think Jen and Louis should tell El what happened when she was gone?" I looked towards Zayn with glistening eyes.

"I think Eleanor deserves the truth, like anyone else." He shrugged.

"Then why wasn't Jennifer told the truth?" I straightened my lips, so that I looked expressionless.

He breathed deeply, "I don't know what you mean."

"Don't lie to me, please. They are both my friends and they don't deserve this." I pleaded.

Zayn caressed my cheek in his warm hand, "I know." He kissed my head and rolled over to sleep. I groaned in stress and shut my eyes for the night.

~Jennifer's POV~

El looked at me with teary eyes, "Why? What did I ever do to you?" I tried to reach out for her shoulder but she jerked away. She hated me, and I felt it in my heart.

"It was an accident, a mistake!" I tried making eye contact, but she buried her face in her petite hands, "It didn't mean anything, I swear." I tried to get her to look at me and it was tiring. When she finally did, I felt relieved.

She looked at me with red eyes, "But. It. Still. Happened." She spoke sharp and harsh with every word.

"I'm sorry." I pleaded.

She placed a hand on my knee, "No, I'm sorry, for getting in between you and Louis." She got up and walked away without looking back.

"El, I don't love him! I love Liam!" I shouted for her. She appeared back in the room and laughed maniacally, it echoed around the room and made my ears ring.

"But he doesn't love you." Her lips twitched into a smirk and she started to fade out.

"Wait - What's that supposed to mean?" I started to cry uncontrollably. I couldn't breathe and I was started to become more aware of my placement.

I suddenly woke up wailing through out the bedroom and I searched the room, no signs of Liam. I cried louder and louder until he returned with a glass of liquid.

"Here, babe." He handed me the cup and I allowed myself to drink from it.

"Water? How does that help?"

He laughed, "It re hydrates you from all the crying, my mum used to get me water whenever I was crying. Plus, you've been crying since you fell asleep."

He sang a slow version of "More Than This" to help me fall asleep and I finally calmed down enough to shut my eyes again.
