It has been a struggle from the beginning...

This is a warrior cats fan fiction. I have added a few of my characters and i hope that you enjoy. This is after the Last Hope but the First Chapter goes back a while where they just found out that Dovewing is the third. I'll post it later and once you read it you'll understand it more. I'm going to post Chapter one in parts because it's 18 pages long on my word document. So yah this is part one i hope you like it. Warrior Cat characters belong to Erin Hunter.

6. The Shadows Grow

“There’s something that you aren’t telling us, isn’t there?” She looked away from her brothers and shook her head.

“Not here.” The white she-cat staggered to her gray paws and fell to the ground. Riverstorm and Ghostclaw helped their sister up. The three of them walked out of camp and towards the lake, when they got there Crescentmoon sat down on the cool stones.

“Remember the first time we went into the mountains, when we were paws’.”

“Hollyleaf, Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Crowfeather came too didn’t they?” Crescentmoon looked over at Riverstorm and nodded before continuing

“Breezepelt went with us. After we got back, we started seeing each other, and ever since I’ve been sneaking out every night to see him.” Crescentmoon studied the stones in between her grat paws.

“You have to stop this. Remember when WindClan and ThunderClan found out that they where half-clan, you have no idea what other cats where saying about Lionblaze, Jayfeather, and Hollyleaf because their father was WindClan and their mother ThunderClan, let alone a medicine cat. I don’t want that to happen to you Crescentmoon. I don’t want you to go through that.” Ghostclaw lifted her chin with his tail so that she was looking at him.

“Please Crescentmoon you have to tell him tonight if you can.” Crescentmoon pulled away

“It’s not that easy Ghostclaw, I love him! You don’t know how it feels!” he stood up and looked down at her,

“Really! Applefur’s expecting my kits. Do you think I don’t know how you feel? Because I know exactly what it feels like, seeing the one cat you love the most in a different clan. I’m actually thinking about leaving ThunderClan, because I can’t bear the thought of losing her or our kits.” Ghostclaw’s pale grey tabby fur stood up. He turned back to his sister and brother, tears flooding his eyes.

“I can’t lose her; not again. I can’t live through that.” Riverstorm got up and looked down at Ghostclaw. His green eyes full of pain and loss.

“You really love her don’t you?” Ghostclaw nodded, Crescentmoon closed my eyes, Ghostclaw loved Applefur far beyond words, and the mottled brown she-cat felt the same way.

“You know what you must do; it is your choice and your choice alone. And I’m not talking about running away Ghostclaw.” He nodded and pushed his muzzle into hers.

“But like you said it’s not that easy.” Crescentmoon sighed and licked the top of his head.

“I know, Breezepelt is hated by many cats in ThunderClan, but I’m sure that Firestar will understand. I know deep in your heart. You feel like when you’re with her, no matter the place. It feels like home to you.” He closed his eyes and hung his head.

“I still have a chance to prevent my battle, but for you…The battle has just begun.” Riverstorm, Ghostclaw, and Crescentmoon walked back to camp; Ghostclaw and Crescentmoon vanished into Firestar’s den while Riverstorm went in search of their parents.

“Hello Ghostclaw, Crescentmoon. What can I do for you?” he flicked his tail for them to sit.

“I wish to live in ShadowClan.” Firestar’s green gaze didn’t waver away from Firestar’s,

“Would you like to explain to me why so?” Crescentmoon turned to her brother,

“May I?” he nodded

“Applefur is having Ghostclaw’s kits. That is why he wishes to go live in ShadowClan. I know that you might disagree in his choice of mate. But you can’t put boundaries on love. Firestar just imagine what if you were not a ThunderClan cat, and the she-cat you loved was, or the other way around. What would you do?” Firestar closed his eyes.

“I would leave my clan to be with her.” Crescentmoon’s tail tip twitched

“Now do you understand?” he nodded.

“Yes, Ghostclaw I understand why you wish to leave ThunderClan. But we must speak with Blackstar first.” Clouds threatened rain as the leader and two warriors walked out of the den, their StarClan ancestors were weeping. So many things had changed since they walked the same ground as the living. “Crescentmoon come with me.” Firestar spoke as he past.
