Save Me

Emma doesn't know what to do with her life anymore. Her brother, her best friend in the whole world, has just passed away from cancer and she's running from her own problems. She begins to drink, suffering hangovers almost every morning. Her life feels empty, until she meets a boy who throws her life into a quite unexpected loop. She finds herself falling in love, and learning that you always have to face your problems; but you never have to face them alone.

8. Run Aways

Harry's P.O.V

I sat there, stunned with Emma in my arms. This beautiful girl didn't deserve to have this happen to her. For no reason, I could feel myself getting angry. Angry at the fact that she was alone and had nowhere to go. Angry at the fact that her parents had practically left her when she needed them most. But I was mostly angry that her brother had to die. No one deserves such a horrible death.

Emma was in my arms, crying. I had no idea what to do.

"Em," I whispered, "It's okay, none of it was your fault," I moved her body so that she was facing me.

"What do you mean?" She sobbed, "It was my decision to drink. I'm just a fuck up. Owen would be so dissapointed,"

"No! Everyone deals with depression in different ways, love. It's not too late to stop," I grabbed her face in my hands, trying to convince her, "You can stop,"

She shook her head. Both her and I knew it was going to take a lot. She was completley wasted when I met her last night, and I had a pretty good feeling that wasn't the first time. The look in her eyes killed me inside though, I couldn't stand to see this girl hurting, and I had just met her.

"I'll help you," I promised, "You can stay with me until we figure it out, that is if you don't want too go back to your parents?" She nodded her head in agreement, she definitley did not, "Do you want to stay?"

She thought about it for a minute, and I realized that I hadn't even thought about it. The boys wouldn't mind, I knew that. She was pretty and we needed a girl around to referee our fights and just hang around. But what would management think? As if she read my mind she asked, "Would that be okay with your crew and management people?" I didn't lie to her, I just shrugged my shoulders.

"I don't know actually, but I'm sure they wouldn't care that much as long as I didn't tell them about..." I let her fill in the blanks. It was obvious to both of us that if my management knew she was an alcoholic, she definitley wouldn't be within ten feet of me. If the press found out, they wouldn't let it go and they'd rip her reputation to shreds.

"You're right," she nodded, "But if you don't tell them, and you really don't mind, I'd like to stay,"

I gave her a hug, "Of course I don't mind,"

"But on one condition!" She interrupted.

"And what's that?"

"We can't stay inside everyday,"

"Oh believe me wee won't be," I smiled, taking her hand and getting up, "Come here," I led her to the master bedroom and opened my suit case. I gave her some sun glasses and a beanie. I took off my shirt and tossed it to the floor. I changed into a black hoodie and found myself another pair of sunglasses.

"I have an idea. Put on the beanie and sunglasses, that way if the paps do find us, they won't be able to trace who you are. Or it's less likely anyway. I'll be right back, I've got to make a phone call,"

I headed out of the room, pulled out my cell phone, and called Louis who picked up after two rings.

"Harry!" He screamed into the reciever.

"Louis, listen. I need you and the boys to do me a favor. Distract the paps outside my room and cover for me, I'm going out for the day,"

"Whatever you say mate. Where are you going?"

"Nevermind that Louis. I owe you one man!" I said hanging up the phone and walking back to Emma, "Okay love, Louis and the boys are going to make a distraction. We got to get out quick, and I mean really quick," I paused making sure she had followed. She looked adorable in my beanie and sunglasses, and I couldn't help but stare.

"Harry?" She said, interrupting my train of thought.

"Oh, sorry. It's just that you look beautiful," I said with a wink.

"Thank you," She said shyly, looking at the ground. She really was quite beautiful, and she made my stomach have butterflies, which was a very foreign feeling to me.

"So anyway, we'll run down the stairs and out the back of the hotel, after that just walk like you normally would. Sound good?"

"Yeah, sounds good,"
