15. Unexpected Date.

Carter's POV:

"Carter! Derek's here!" I heard my mom yell from downstairs. I had just finished putting on the last touch of my makeup in front of the mirror. I wore a simple floral tank top with a leather jacket and black jeans with dark combat boots for the dinner date that I wouldn't enjoy so much.

I sighed, grabbing my bag as I strolled downstairs to see Derek and my parents waiting for me by the door. I faked a smile and went to hug Derek. "Hi.. Derek." I kindly greeted him.

"Hey Carter. Your parents were just telling me about your past with this Harry guy. He seems like a handful." He chuckled beside my parents, who were chuckling along with him. They were delusional.

I laughed along with them, hiding my anger inside of me. "Heh. Well, Derek and I should be going. We don't want to be late for our dinner reservation." I pushed Derek out the door and waved to my parents. "Bye Mom, Dad. See you... soon."

"Have fun, kids. Remember her curfew, Derek." My mother told him before she closed the door.

"Always, Mrs. Hanson." He laughed politely. Right when my mom closed the door, he led me to his car. Oh right, the car that messes up my hair.

I opened the door to the passenger's seat. "So, where are we going-" I started to ask, but he suddenly cut me off with a disgusting kiss. He cupped my face with his hands and kissed me hard. I tried pulling away, but again, he was too strong. I just stayed there, without kissing back, my eyes opened in disgust.

He pulled away a few LONG seconds later and smiled, turning on the engine. "You couldn't get away with my greeting kiss." He smirked.

Can I wipe away his saliva from my lips? Or would he just be mad? I gave him an angry smile and just looked at the road, staying silent as he started to drive.

"So tell me about this Harry guy. He sounds like an idiot for dating a 14 year old girl when he was 18." He scoffed, reaching for my hand on the cup holders. I hesitated.

I let out a small sigh. "First of all, Harry is not an idiot for dating a 14 year old. That just means he's not shallow and doesn't care what other people think of him." I looked out the window. "Second, he's in a band; One Direction. He's a really sweet guy."

"Sweet, eh? Doesn't sound like it to me. And, really? A band? You like rocker dudes?" He scoffed, "Chicks."

I turned to him, giving him a mean stare. I didn't appreciate what he was saying to my friends. I didn't appreciate anything he was saying. So I just kept my mouth shut the entire ride, which took longer than I actually thought.

Just when I thought he was going to let go of the subject, he didn't. "So, let me hear more about this relationship with this dude."

"My relationship with that 'dude' is none of your business." I scolded, crossing my arms. I seriously wanted to go home. This date wasn't going as well as I had hoped. Well, any dates from Derek was nothing like I had hoped.

"I think it is, sweet cheeks. Either you tell me what is going on with that puny puppy love of yours, or things are about to get ugly." He tried to threaten me. Was he serious? "I don't like when people give me attitude, Carter." He kept his eyes on the road. "But when they do--ho ho-- you don't even wanna know what happens to them."

"Oh yeah? Like what?" I wasn't afraid. Well, I hope I wasn't.

He gave me an menacing glare that kept me from feeling a little uncomfortable. I hate my life. "You'll soon realize that giving me that I'm-not-scared-attitude will be taught a lesson you don't want to go through again." What the heck was wrong with him? I zoned out as he started to talk about his threats again.

I soon realized where we were, and I didn't like it. I didn't like it one bit. My surroundings got darker, and my palms were getting sweaty. When I checked the time, it was only 6pm. It couldn't be that dark, right?

Last thing I remembered was being shoved off the car and blackness took over me.

Louis'  POV:

"I think his name is Derek." Eleanor told me. "I heard from Carter's parents." I looked out from my car window, seeing Derek and Carter walking towards a black convertible with Derek not even opening the car door for her. Strike One. Their car didn't start yet. I just kept looking from the back of their car as Derek grabbed Carter's face and kissed her. I guess that's a sign that they like each other, right?

But I wasn't done yet. My work wasn't over yet. I still had a small bit of bad feelings about that guy.

When the car started, I put on my seat belt and started the car. I turned on the ignition and drove right behind them. It took a long time to get to where this Derek guy wanted to take Carter. What was happening in there?

"Where are they going?" I mumbled to myself. Then I noticed where we were. With dark trees surrounding us, I knew that we were in the woods. Who takes the way through the woods? Apparently, Derek.

As we went deeper and deeper into the woods, I found myself getting lost. Meaning, I lost their car, the route back to the streets, and Carter. I was a horrible friend. What if Derek is not who I thought he'd be?

"Louis..." I heard Eleanor say. I could tell she was getting scared. Her hands were trembling against mine.

"Sh, babe. Don't worry." I patted her hand to calm her down, and she did.

After a few minutes of finding my way to the streets, I began to get frustrated. I couldn't find Derek's car or the street. What if something happened the Carter? Because nobody would take their date to the woods late at night.

That's when I found it. I found the black car, I found the driver's seat to be seated by Derek, but I didn't see anyone on the passenger's seat. Where did Carter go?

I was confused. Eleanor looked at me with wide eyes, meaning something bad had happened when we lost Derek's car. He better have not done something bad to her. Maybe, Derek wasn't the sweet guy that Carter's parents think he is. He was a menace looking for trouble. If he wanted trouble, I'll give it to him.

I took off my seat belt and turned off the engine, parking the car right behind his. Eleanor grabbed my wrist as I was about to open the door. "Louis. What are you doing?"

"Just stay here." I kissed her forehead and got out of the car. I went over to Derek's car to confront him. I knocked on his window and his eyes went to pure shock. He lowered his window. "May I help you?"

"Where's Carter?"

"And you are...?" He asked.

"I'm her friend." I retorted. "Now where's Carter?"

"Oh, so you must be that idiot....what's his name." He snapped his fingers. "...Harry from that so-called band, One Direction." He air quoted on 'One Direction'.

So called? "Harry's not an idiot, DEREK. I'm afraid you are." I scolded. "I believe I asked you a question that wasn't answered; Where's Carter!?"

"Why? Are you the babysitter?" He smirked. "Because, Carter's nowhere to be found at this minute."

"Oh, I don't know. Somewhere..." He looked around. "...around this place. I mean, who knows? She may be dead or wandering around."

That made me angrier. I grabbed his collar from his shirt and pulled him close, "You better tell me where Carter is or..."

"Or what?"

"You don't even wanna know!" I grumbled loudly in front of his face. I saw him smirk as if this was some kind of joke to him. I wanted to punch him. Kick him. Kill him. He can't do that to my best friend.

"Well, if you're not going to tell me what you're going to do, then I'll just be on my way then." He struggled to get off my grip, but I held on tightly.

"You're not going anywhere unless you tell me where Carter is!" I yelled, having the complete urge to punch him in the face.

That's when Eleanor suddenly came in. "Lou! Stop!" She broke us apart, holding my chest. Derek smiled at her, checking her out.

"This your girlfriend?" He checked her out once more. "Maybe we could trade."

That made my blood boil. "THAT'S IT. THAT IS IT." I screamed angrily, pushing Eleanor out of the way. I punched him in the face, hard.

Several punches were made to his face to show that punches and kicks were my threat to him. Nobody checks out my girlfriend, and nobody leaves my best friend stranded in the woods late at night.

"LOUIS! STOP!" I felt Eleanor use her full strength to push me off. When she did, she shielded me with her body from going any closer to him.

"WHERE'S CARTER!?" I yelled, trying to get to him again. Eleanor pushed me further.

I heard Derek groan from the pain as I looked at his bloody nose dripping to his white shirt. "You know what? Just for that, I'm leaving you and your hot girlfriend stranded here without telling you guys where your precious friend is." He started the engine and drove off, leaving me completely enraged.
