5. Too Much Talk.

Carter's POV:

"Carter! Are you done?!" I heard my mom yell from downstairs. I had just been finished with the last touch of my makeup when I heard the doorbell ring. "He's here!" I heard her say. I sighed and looked at myself one last time in the mirror before grabbing my bag and headed downstairs.

"Hey." I let out a smile when he pulled me down for a kiss on the cheek.

"Aw, aren't you two adorable?" My mom cooed. "Jack, aren't they adorable?" She turned to my dad. He wrapped his arm around her and smiled. "They are quite the couple." He looked at us happily. "Now, you have fun. Remember her curfew."

"Always, Mr. Hanson. I'll see you later." Did I mention I have a boyfriend? No? Well, here's what happened. His name is Derek. We met by my parents. I don't know. Things happened. 'Sparks flew', and you know we got together. This happens to be our 3rd date and he was taking me to a fancy restaurant. That was the 'thing' we were talking about with Bella, if you were wondering.

"You look beautiful tonight, Carter." He complimented me as he led me to his car. It was a black convertible which I wasn't really fond of, considering it always messed up my hair and blew everything else away from the car.

"Thanks." I retorted. He opened the door for me politely and I smiled in return.

When we got to the restaurant, my hair was already blown up from the strong wind. "You look funny." He snickered. I looked to the side-view mirror of the car and frantically fixed my hair. My curls were all messy, and my makeup looked smeared. I quickly got out of the car, and rushed towards the bathroom in the restaurant while Derek went to get us the table.

I paced around the bathroom, trying to find a way to fix my look which took me an hour to get ready. I ran my fingers through my hair and tried to straighten it out. I whimpered at the tangles on my hair that kept me from combing it out. When I finally finished, I headed to the table where Derek had already ordered.

"Where have you been?" He asked me, almost looking a bit annoyed.

"In the bathroom. I had to fix my hair, because of the car."

"So you're accusing the car?" He raised an eyebrow. I was about to answer, but he interrupted me. "I was kidding."

I let out a dry chuckle and looked at the food already down at the table. The food I really didn't like. "What are you waiting for? Aren't you going to eat?"

I shook my head a pushed the plates away. "No thanks. I already ate."

"So you ate before you came here? When you knew we had a date?"

"N-No, that's-"

"I was kidding again, Carter. Come on, loosen up." He laughed as he stabbed a chunk of chicken with his fork. I forced a smile, when I was really getting tired of his sense of humor.

After the dinner, he finally took me home. I'd never thought I actually missed home. He led me out the car and towards the front door. He stood in front of me and smiled. "I had a great time tonight. As always."

I just nodded and pressed my lips together. "Yeah. Me too." I said unenthusiastically.

He started to lean in, my eyes suddenly widening. This would be a good time for my parents to barge in on us now. I thought. I back away a little, just to save time if my parents would open the door. But sadly, it didn't. Our lips eventually met and I didn't kiss back. A few seconds later when I felt no signs of him pulling back, I did. "Gotta go. Bye." I opened the door to my house and slammed it shut.

"Hey honey, how was the date?" My mom asked me as I entered the living room. I sighed and leaped on the couch beside her as she stroked my hair. "Good." I lied.

"That's great. Any plans on going out with him again?" My dad questioned. Please no.

"Uh, don't know." I paused. Hopefully not. "I'm going to bed now. Night mom, dad." I hurriedly went up to my bedroom and locked the door. I changed into my pajamas and took out my diary.

'March 14, 2015

Dear Diary,

Okay, my third date with Derek was a disaster for me. Evidently, not with Derek.

Worst date ever.

Whenever I was with him, he never treats me like those in the movies. I mean, they do exist, right? Right? He just laughs at my appearance that makes me feel so insecure, and he questions my actions, that make me stranded on what he was thinking of doing to me. Worst of all, his kisses weren't even that sincere. Those lips were desperate.

I don't even get why I was forced to go out with him. Don't read that sentence over again. You read correctly. Yep. I was 'forced' to go out with him. My parents forced me to go out with him, because they thought he was a nice and the right guy for me. He isn't. They think after my little incident when I was 14, I would be into guys in their 30s or something.

Anyways, the point of this entry is that you finally know that I was forced to go out with him. Bella knows, my parents knows, and his parents know. They think it's good for me and him to be together since we have 'so much in common'. I'm just wondering if he knows I've been forced. Does he?

Wondering a Lot,

Harry's POV:

"Harry, what did you just do? Why did you tell the world you were dating Taylor Swift? I thought you guys were over years ago." Louis huffed when we got to our dressing room after the interview. I sat down on the couch and rubbed my temples as I continued to hear his ranting.

"Lou-" I tried to speak.

"I mean, didn't you break up over a fight you had?" He continued. "You guys were like the huge power couple in Hollywood that everyone was talking about. Tons of hate were sent-"

"And people started to send death threats to Taylor and you, but mostly Taylor-"

"Do you know what you have caused by saying that? Why would you say that to-"

I stood up and shook hiss shoulders to stop him. "LOUIS!" He froze, and so did everyone else. I sat back down. "I didn't do it on purpose. It was true." I murmured.

"What?" They all said breathlessly. "How could you not tell us first, mate?" Liam questioned. "I thought we tell each other everything before we tell the press."

I groaned. "I don't know what got over me."

"Are you sure you guys are dating? Was it something to get your mind off of...Carter, perhaps?" Niall mentioned slowly. I flinched.

"NIALL." The boys said.

"It's alright. I'm over it. It's been 4 years anyways." I paused and took a deep breath. "Taylor and I have been seeing each other for 5 months now." Before they could make an expression, I continued. "We promised each other to keep it a secret until this morning when I found out she was ready to tell everyone that we were dating..again. We decided to put our problems aside and work together. Zayn knew first. He found out when he barged in and overheard our conversation on the phone a month ago."

They turned to Zayn, but they were silent as they did. Then, the door burst open, interrupting our silent moment.

All the girlfriends came rushing towards their boyfriends whereas I was alone on the couch, watching them hugging and kissing awkwardly in front of me. "Uh, hi." I greeted awkwardly, waving to them.

They all stopped, and came to me for a hug. "Hi Harry. You boys were amazing out there."

"Thank you." I said, smiling.

"So uh. I don't mean to put this very seriously, but was what you said true? You and Taylor were dating?" Louise suddenly asked, scratching her head.

I nodded, "Uh... kind of... y-yeah.."

"T-That's so sudden." Jasmine recalled quietly, earning a small slap on the arm from Louise. She mumbled an ow before everyone decided to head home after a long day. I stood up from the couch, following everyone to the back door and into the limo.

Of course, I couldn't blame them for being so surprised. I actually never thought I would be seeing Taylor again. Jasmine was right, it was all so sudden for me too. I was just wondering what the fans are going to think now. Were they going to hate on Taylor again? Or would they just get used to it?
