Four Years Later... (Sequel to 'Behind the Truth')

*Sequel to 'Behind the Truth'*

It's been 4 years. 4 years since I moved to New York. 4 years since I left my friends. It was difficult, but I planned to cope without them.

Ever wondered you could turn back the time and wished you were young again?

Carter Hanson hasn't seen her old friends in four years. She changed, they changed, everything changed.

Sometimes, Carter can't seem to take a break. Not even when she reunites with her old friends. And yes, her old friends are the world-famous boyband, One Direction.

Follow her journey to see how complicated her life is even when her friends are on her side. Secrets are meant to be hidden, but eventually will be revealed.

"Sometimes I have the luck that every girl wants, but not the life..."

26. Taylor Swift.

Harry's POV:

"Taylor?" I questioned, hugging her back. I didn't think she would be in LA this early. I pulled away as I saw her smiling uncontrollably. "I-I thought you'd be in LA in 2 days!"

She jumped a little excitedly, "I was suppose to, but I wanted to surprise you! That way, we can be together more. I was done with concerts in Canada anyways. So, I thought; why not?" She pulled me in for a kiss, and pulled away after realizing my friends were watching us awkwardly.

"Uh.." I mumbled awkwardly. Everyone left their gazes from us back to what they were doing. I gave back a comforting smile to Taylor, seeing her gaze on something over my shoulder. I turned around, noticing Carter standing there. "Oh hey. So, you two haven't officially met because of what happened back in New York."

"Yeah." Carter let out a breathy voice. She walked towards Taylor, letting out her hand. "Hi, I'm Carter Hanson. Huge fan. Friend of Harry and everyone." She introduced herself.

She shook my hand gently, "Hey. I'm Taylor Swift. Harry's girlfriend. I've heard so much about you."

Carter eyed me, raising her eyebrows surprisingly. "Really?" She let go of Taylor's hand, putting them behind her back. Oh yeah...

I just shrugged while Taylor continued. "Yeah. Other then the fact that you're really close with everyone for a while now."

"Oh." Carter said, feeling relieved. "Well, yeah. We have." She paused, "Since we officially met, I hope we can hang out sometime."

Taylor's eyes lit up, "Really? How about tomorrow? Maybe go shopping?"

I had a feeling Carter didn't really like the idea of hanging out with my girlfriend, since it was kind of awkward. "Uh, I-I'd love to!" She half-kindheartedly said.

I butted in, avoiding another awkward moment with everyone in the room. "Taylor and I will be catching up today. We'll be outside if anyone needs us." I announced to everyone. There were murmurs of okays and byes before I left, grabbing my jacket as I headed out.

"Your friend Carter seems really nice." She locked her arms into mine, holding on to it as we walked around the sidewalks of LA. It wasn't really dark considering it's a little bit humid here. I didn't know why I brought a jacket with me.

"Yeah. You'll love her once you get to know her more." I told her, looking down at the ground. "She's a little quirky and fun-loving."

"So tell me, how did you guys meet?"

I laughed at that memory. "Funny story."

Carter's POV:

The next day, I found myself digging through my suitcases and drawers to find the perfect outfit for my day with Taylor. For heaven's sake, it was Taylor Swift. She was basically my role model for style. You cannot pass up the opportunity to hang out with Taylor Swift. I wanted to dress stylish, yet casual for a mall day with her. But I didn't exactly know what.

I didn't notice when Harry walked in, stopping in tracks when he found me kneel down beside my suitcases, apparently making a mess. "Whoa, Carter!"

I didn't stop, I just kept looking. "What Harry?"

"It's just a day at the mall, not a movie premiere with Johnny Depp." He laughed sarcastically. I stopped and turned to him, giving him a glare.

"Well it's Taylor Swift, okay? She has the body of a model and clothes like any stylish person. Even on casual day." I ranted.

"Okay, okay, okay." Harry stopped me, picking up all the outfits thrown on the floor. "Geez, girls."I heard him mumble when he went through the closet. He came back out in a matter of minutes, showing me a particular outfit I somewhat liked. "This one?"

I took it out of his hands, examining it for a second. Then, I sulked, "Fine." I walked over to the bathroom, changing into it. I walked out, seeing Harry waiting for me on his bed.

"There. Was that so hard?" He crossed his arms as he stood up. I ignored him, twirling around in front of the mirror. I turned back to him, sticking out my tongue.

He stuck it too, giving me a winning face along with it. I laughed as I grabbed my bag, just in time to see Taylor's text come up to my phone.

I walked out to the living room, almost bumping into Zayn. "Watch where you're going, Carter."

I looked up, stepping back quickly. "Oh, sorry. I was just leaving."

He took a sip of his soda. "Where to?"

"I'm hanging out with Taylor today." I told him. "Where is everyone?" I suddenly noticed, looking around.

"All the lovebirds went out. Don't worry, they'll be back in time for rehearsals." He pointed to me. "You should too."

I rolled my eyes, "Fine. What time should I be there?"

Zayn checked his watch, "Around 4?" Before I knew it, Harry took out something in his back pocket, giving it to Zayn. "Here's a backstage pass just in case they don't let you in. But just to be safe again, I'll make sure the stage directors and bodyguards know you're Carter."

I smiled, pulling him for a hug. "Thanks Zaynie. I'll be there." I pulled away, giving Zayn and Harry a wave before I left to meet Taylor.

I walked down the corridor of Melrose Ave. I didn't really know where that was until I got directions from my phone. There I was Taylor with her sunglasses on, wearing a simple tank top and shorts. She waved at me when she noticed my presence. I smiled and waved back, crossing the street.

"Hey! You're here!" She squealed, pulling me for a short hug.

"Yep." I said. "So where are we shopping?"

"Here. I heard this place is amazing to shop at. Well except for Rodeo Drive. That's a little too expensive." She mentioned. I just nodded, following her to any stores she found interesting.

A little while later, I had to admit; shopping with Taylor was really fun. We talked, ate, shopped, and even dressed up. I bought a few things, courtesy of Taylor since most of the clothes I like were a little off my budget. I felt a little bad, but up until now, I knew Taylor was just being generous.

By the time it was 3:45, I had just remembered that I had to the boys' rehearsals. "Hey Taylor?"

"You can call me Tay. All my friends call me that." She grinned. So, I'm her friend now? Score! "What's wrong?"

"N-Nothing's wrong. It's just that I promised the guys I would be at their rehearsals at 4. Do you mind if we cut this short? Maybe you can join us?" I offered.

She thought about it for a second until she agreed and hailed a cab. On our way there, we had tons of laughs about her career and my life. I actually thought she was beginning to come off me. I had to admit though, I was a little curious about her personality, but now, I felt as if we've known each other for a while now.

When we got to rehearsals, I took out my backstage pass, showing it to the bodyguard. He didn't really care about Taylor's presence, since he already knew who she was. Taylor and I made our way to their dressing room, just in time to see them already seated and getting ready.

"Hey boys. Look who I brought!" I announced. Taylor stood behind me, giving them all a smile and wave. Harry stood up, welcoming Taylor a hug and kiss.

"Hey Tay, how was shopping?" Harry asked, pulling away.

"I actually had a really fun time with Carter. You were right. She is quirky and fun-loving." She turned to wink at me and I clicked my tongue.

Harry looked at me, chuckling at her response. "I'm glad you both had a fun time. Are you staying here until rehearsal ends or do you have any rehearsals?"

"No plans today. I have rehearsals tomorrow anyway. I'll stay." She grinned. I closed the door behind me, placing my shopping bags in a corner. I joined the girls on the couch as they smiled.

"Hey C. So, how was your day with Taylor Swift?" Louise nudged me.

"It was pretty good. I actually had really fun." I admitted, nodding back at my day. I leaned my head back, "But I'm like sooo tired right now. I need a nap."

Eleanor chuckled, patting me on the shoulder. "Alright. We'll let you nap. But after that, you have to show us what you bought so I can tell you what I'm borrowing from you."

I took a short nap for about an hour before I woke up to see everyone gone. I sat up, looking around at my surroundings. I was still sleeping on the couch in their dressing room. I fixed myself and got off the couch, scurrying aimlessly backstage.

I heard some boys singing, meaning the boys must be rehearsing. How long have they been rehearsing anyway?

Since I knew where everyone was, I decided to find the restroom since I really needed to go checked at my messy hair. I asked one of the workers where it was, in which he pointed in the right direction. I opened the door and jumped when I saw Harry and Taylor making out.
