Four Years Later... (Sequel to 'Behind the Truth')

*Sequel to 'Behind the Truth'*

It's been 4 years. 4 years since I moved to New York. 4 years since I left my friends. It was difficult, but I planned to cope without them.

Ever wondered you could turn back the time and wished you were young again?

Carter Hanson hasn't seen her old friends in four years. She changed, they changed, everything changed.

Sometimes, Carter can't seem to take a break. Not even when she reunites with her old friends. And yes, her old friends are the world-famous boyband, One Direction.

Follow her journey to see how complicated her life is even when her friends are on her side. Secrets are meant to be hidden, but eventually will be revealed.

"Sometimes I have the luck that every girl wants, but not the life..."

11. Sneaky.

Carter's POV:

I didn't wake up until about 11am the next day, and I only woke up because my cellphone was going off in my ear.

"Hello?" I snapped groggily, answering my phone.

"Hey Carter! I'm downstairs." Was that- was that Bella? What time was it? I looked over to my digital clock beside my bed and gasped at the time.

"Shoot! I-um, I'll be right there!" I quickly hung up and rushed into the bathroom. I found myself in the bathroom, messing with my hair. When it was all combed and ready, I shuffled through my closet and threw a pair of jeans and a blue v-neck on.

Minutes later after I had changed quickly, I grabbed an apple on the go and shut the front door.

When I made it downstairs, Bella was seated on the bench in front of the building. She stood up when she noticed my presence and sighed. "Finally. What took you so long?"

"I overslept. Had a long day yesterday." My voice trailed off, not wanting to go into detail about what had happened last night. I was basically up all night talking with my everyone in the boys' hotel room. I left around 11pm that night with Liam driving me home.

I bit my breakfast apple as we continued to make our way to the cafe. "I can tell. You're not dressed like you usually are." She examined my outfit and shook her head.

After my long shift at the cafe, I was on my way home when I heard my phone buzz. I picked it up, seeing an unknown caller calling me.

"Hey Carter! It's me, Niall. I was wondering if you were done with work. I was hoping we could all catch up." How did Niall get my new number? Oh wait, from Louis. of course.

"I-uh.." I stammered. "Um, yeah. Sure.. Can you meet me at my house? My parents aren't home." I suggested.

"Of course."

A few minutes later, I texted Niall my address to my apartment and I was already cleaning up the house. To save time, I picked up a magazine from the table and started to flip through the pages. I saw many celebrity gossips that didn't really interest me, so I kept flipping and flipping, until I reached the last page that had caught my attention.

'Haylor Back Together?

That's right, Haylor fans. Haylor is back together! Two years after their fight, they are back together. Styles, 22 and Swift, 27 have settled their differences and reunited. Harry Styles have confirmed in an interview that they were official and very happy together.

Nonetheless, Harry Styles has moved on from younger women, back to older women. Back in 2011, Styles was reportedly seen with 14 year old, Carter Hanson, saying their final goodbyes in the airport, were it was made official that they were seeing each other for a while now.

So, Haylor fans.. What do you think of their new relationship? Will it bomb? Or will it last forever?'

I rolled my eyes. I was never a Haylor shipper in the first place. It wasn't because I was jealous, it was because they don't really make a good couple. It was just my opinion. But, if they were happy, that was all that matters, huh?

My thoughts were cut off my the sound of girls screaming in front of my building. I trudged towards my window and saw the front of the building loaded with a bunch of girls almost hitting the black car parked in front of it. I was guessing that the boys were here.

"Ms. Hanson, some teenagers are here to see you. They claim to be One Direction." The doorman announced from the intercom. I clicked the speaker button and replied, "Yeah, let them in. It's fine." I let go and heard him respond to a 'yes ma'am.'

I waited by the elevator and saw the elevator floors light up to my floor. When it opened, I welcomed them with a smile and a light hug.

I opened my front door, walked in, and led them to the living room where they all made themselves comfortable while I went to get snacks and drinks. Once I arrived, I sat down beside Liam as everyone grabbed all the drinks and snacks I set down on the table.

"So, what shall we do today?" I asked, avoiding a silent moment.

"We were hoping we could catch up on things. Maybe do something outside?" Eleanor replied suggestively.

I clasped my hands together, "Won't the fans be... there?" I tried to question without being rude.

"Louis arranged something in a private park." Jasmine told me. How do you arrange something private in a park? Wait, I shouldn't question it... They are huge celebrities...

"Just... get some stuff... extra clothes, makeup, anything we can play with like a basketball, football, volleyball.." Niall instructed. I just nodded and excused myself to go to my bedroom to change and get ready. All I found in my bedroom was a water gun and a volleyball. So I stuffed them in my bag along with the rest of  my things and headed back to the living room in a matter of minutes.

Louis stood up and grabbed Eleanor's hand. "Then we should go. The car's waiting in the back. Your building does have a back door to an exit, right?"

I think it did. "I think so.." I pursed my lips. When I moved to New York four years ago, everyone, even paps and fans were crowding the front of the building just to get a better look of me after the whole Harry incident. It was chaotic. Thank goodness it was over, though.

Speaking of Harry, where was he?

Harry's POV:

"Hello?" My voice echoed the hotel room. Where was everybody?

I looked around the suite, checking to see if anyone had left me a note to where they were. Nothing. I took out my phone and dialed Louis' number. Voice mail.

Then I called Liam's.. Voice mail.

Then Niall's... Voice mail.

Then Jasmine's.. Voice mail.

Then Louise's... Another voice mail...

Lastly (and hopefully) I called Eleanor's...

Voice mail.

I grumbled angrily at my phone. Nobody answered their cell phone. Where were they?

I hung up and dropped my phone on the couch. I sighed and sat down the empty couch, ruffling my hair. I rested my elbows on my knees and looked around the quiet suite. Taylor was at her concert right now, and I had no idea where the boys were. Or the girls. What was I suppose to do now?

I stared into space, embracing the silence in the room. Suddenly, I came across a piece of paper sticking out of Louis' jeans that was thrown on the ground. I took it out. It was a phone number.

I picked up my phone again and dialed it. It was a voice mail.

'Hey! You've reached Carter's phone!'

What? Carter?

'...Sorry I couldn't answer, I'm probably in school or at work. So, just leave a message and I'll call right back. Bye!'

No... Why would Louis have Carter's phone number? Is he with her right now? Is everyone with him right now? I dialed the number again, but it went straight to voice mail.

Sorry for the long wait! I really appreciate the wait. There's just so much going on right now. My school year's coming to an end, and everything is just starting to get more busy. :c So sorry. I promise I'll update as soon as I can.

Love you :* Byee!
