18. Makeovers.

Carter's POV:

"Almost... done." I said, brushing the last touch of make up on Harry's face. I stood up straight, admiring the work I pulled off for him. Harry pouted, his lips curving in defeat. "Aw, don't pout Harry. You look so pretty!" I turned towards the girls who were also done with their boyfriends' makeover. "Girls, how's your makeover coming along?"

Eleanor stepped away to show Louis. His lips were all covered with dark red lipstick, his face was covered with foundation and eyeliner. I couldn't help but laugh. "Shut up, Carter. You just got lucky yesterday." Louis warned me.

"Lou, stop being so grouchy about it. We won, fair and square. I even warned you that Louise and I still got the skills."

Niall scoffed, his face looking just like the rest of the boys. "Even then, we let you win."

Zayn stepped in, his face looking much brighter than usual. I couldn't help but snicker a little more. "Whatever lads. It's over. Now can we please get this stuff off our face?"

"NO. It took hours for us to finish this!" Louise defended. She took out her phone. "Now, let's Instagram this."

"NO NO NO. NO WAY." Liam argued. "We are NOT instagramming this. No matter how many fans would like this."

"Aw, come on, Li. You do care about your fans, right? Why not give them a little treat?" Louise rested her elbow on his shoulders.

Liam shrugged her elbows off him and sighed, "Fine, whatever. J-Just... make it quick." He sat on the bed with the rest of the boys and forced a smile.

"SMILE." Eleanor said.

"There, now can we PLEASE take this off now? Perrie's going to be here any minute and I don't want her to see me like this." Zayn complained.

"Zayn, don't be so insecure. She's already with you." Jasmine rolled her eyes. "Besides, it's a nice treat from you since she's visiting for a while from her tour."

"Okay, fine." Zayn huffed, stuffing his hands in his pockets and rolling his eyes. "But when she makes a weird face about this..." He pointed to his entire face covered with make up, "....I'm washing it off."

"Zayn, babe.." A voice said by the door frame. It was Perrie.

Zayn turned around, looking surprised to see his girlfriend so soon. "Perrie.."

She took a step forward to her boyfriend with her arms crossed, "I'm not surprised. It's a nice look on you."

"THAT'S IT. I'M CLEANING." He stormed out of the room, walking towards the kitchen to clean up.

"Hey Perrie." I waved to her.

Her eyes widened. "Carter?" She walked towards me. "14 year old Carter?" She held my arms. "Oh my goodness! You look.... stunning!"

She pulled me in for a tight hug. "Thank you. I heard you made it big here."

"I know. I'm really excited to be in America. It's fantastic." She replied. "Anyways, I hope we can all hang out soon before I go. Very nice seeing you again, Carter."

"PERRIE." We all heard Zayn call out.

"Bye, Perrie." I waved.

"Eleanor, can I ask you something?" I asked politely, leaning against the kitchen counter, my hands wrapped around a water bottle.

"Of course, you can tell me anything." Eleanor replied sheepishly.

I took a chug of my water before I continued. "When -- you found me in the woods 2 days ago.." She looked at me cautiously. "...and Louis brought me up to your hotel room... I was asleep... and...--" I choked on my words.

"Spit it out, Carter."

"I had a dream." I paused, receiving her full attention. "Me and Derek... were.. getting married." I choked again, feeling disgusted that I even said that. "...and I saw him.."

"Who?" She stood beside me.

"H-Harry."

She gaped, looking shocked. "Harry?"

I nodded. "...he was by the end of the aisle when the priest asked me if I took Derek's hand in marriage.. he looked sad from his eyes... but his smile was improving on staying strong.." I gulped, "...what does this mean, El? Why would he randomly be in my dream... out of you guys?"

She took a moment to think, "Well... I think..-"

"Please don't say what I think you're going to say.."

She nodded. "I think... you're...-"

I covered my ears. "Nup! Nope! Nup! Eleanor, no! It can't be."

She took my hands from my ears and stared right at me. "I think so. Mostly, when people have dreams about that one person that comes out of random, you develop some sort of feelings towards it."

I shrugged, "So? I had bigfoot come into my dream once, you think I'm going to fall for it?"

She sighed, rolling her eyes. "Carter, don't be silly."

"You're the only person I trust right now, and if this gets out, I'll be embarrassed for life. I have to figure out my feelings before I know it's true." I whispered, "Besides, it was only one little dream. Just once."

She raised her hands in surrender, "Promise."

"Thanks.." I ran my hand through my bangs and looked at the clock. "Oh gosh! I-I have to go. I told my parents I would be back by 6." I grabbed my bag from the couch where I saw everyone looking at me worriedly. "Sorry, guys. I have to go. My parents will kill me if I'm late." I rushed towards the door, letting out a small shriek when I opened the front door and saw Taylor Swift standing right in front of me. "Oh.. s-sorry."

"No, I'm sorry. I didn't see." Taylor chuckled.

Harry walked towards us, chuckling uneasily. "I wanted you to meet Taylor before you leave. But apparently it's a little too late."

"Yeah. I'm sorry." I shook her hand quickly. "I would really love to meet you. I am a huge fan and all, but it's going to have to wait.. I really have to go."

"Of course." Taylor smiled. "I guess some other day, huh?"

I nodded, exchanging back a smile. I glanced back at Harry and waved before I sprinted out the building, completely forgetting the fact that a crowd of fans were waiting by the front. "Oh no," I mumbled. I covered my face from the fans clicks and flash of cameras, being fully cautious of them not seeing my face. I ran towards the end of the block before I met Bella by her house.

"Bells. Oh my gosh, I cannot believe what I had just been through." I panted.

She pulled my for a hug. "You owe me so much. No offense, but your parents have been bugging me nonstop about you. I had to make up excuses for you to not be able to talk to them on the phone before you called. Where have you been, anyway? Had a little Derek time?" She smirked. I wouldn't dream of it.

"Not really. I just had some old friends I haven't seen in a while. They just got here and came to visit and all." I shrugged. Even though I felt extremely guilty I didn't tell my best friend, I still thought it would be the best for now.

"Anyways, I told your parents you were walking home now after a long day of work." She gave me a look. "Which I also covered for you."

"Thank you so much, Bells. I'll make it up to you as soon as I can." I gave her a tight hug before I took off running again.

"Yeah, I made it home on time, Ni." I laughed through the phone. "Don't worry, I'm not dead or anything. They were pretty mad, but I'm fine."

"Whew, that's good." He paused, making me giggle again. "So can we hang out tomorrow? I really had fun today."

"I'm sorry, Ni. I have classes tomorrow."

"But we're leaving to LA in 3 days. I need to see you as much as I can before we go."

"I'll try and pull something off, but I can't promise you anything."

He cheered, "Yay! Love you, Carter!"

I chuckled, "Love you too, Nialler."

"Alright, so the boys and I have sound check right now, so I'll text you later?"

"Anytime, Ni. Anytime."

"Bye Carter." I hung up my phone and flopped on my bed as I stared at the ceiling.

How has my life come to this? Was it fate that wanted me to be happy again? Or am I just this lucky to have such amazing friends?

Just then, I heard a knock at my door. "Uh, come in." The door creaked open, and I gasped.

"Missed me?"

Derek.

Just to make things clear, I have no intentions of hating on Taylor. Don't hate me, but I love Taylor. She's amazing, as well as One Direction. Taylor and One Direction are both successful people I admire. Okay? Can we all learn to love? lool. Anyways, hope you liked this chapter. I've been getting a lot of writer's block lately, but that'll soon be gone once I get a good idea on the next chapters.

I know you guys are wanting Harry and Carter to get back together, but we'll see what happens. I'm fully aware that my story is going really slow on things right now, (considering we're already on chapter 18) but that's just so you can get a good background on things. Don't be sad, the climax will be here as soon as you know it!

Thanks so much! Love you guys <3 x
