Four Years Later... (Sequel to 'Behind the Truth')

*Sequel to 'Behind the Truth'*

It's been 4 years. 4 years since I moved to New York. 4 years since I left my friends. It was difficult, but I planned to cope without them.

Ever wondered you could turn back the time and wished you were young again?

Carter Hanson hasn't seen her old friends in four years. She changed, they changed, everything changed.

Sometimes, Carter can't seem to take a break. Not even when she reunites with her old friends. And yes, her old friends are the world-famous boyband, One Direction.

Follow her journey to see how complicated her life is even when her friends are on her side. Secrets are meant to be hidden, but eventually will be revealed.

"Sometimes I have the luck that every girl wants, but not the life..."

8. Coming To Her.

Harry's POV:

"I'm glad we did this again. I kind of missed this." Taylor smiled, holding onto my hand tightly as we strolled through the streets of Cheshire. I flipped my hair to the side, avoiding it off my eyes.

"I'm glad too." I replied. We were on our way back to mine and the boys' flat to hang out together. I didn't really know if the boys were there, but it was a chance I was willing to take. I took Taylor to the lift, and we silently made our way to the front door. I swung it open, luckily to be seen by nobody in the living room. "I guess everyone went out."

She nodded, "I'm guessing so. So, what should we do?"

"Movies?" I suggested. I let go of her hand, taking off my coat and hers. She just smiled and nodded in agreement while I went to go get some snacks in the kitchen. As I passed the kitchen, I heard several mutters and whispered in Louis' room. I creaked it open, sending eyes shooting towards me.

"H-Harry. I didn't know you were home." Liam said. He was seated with the others on the floor, positioned in a circle with a bunch of papers and cell phones.

"I'm here with Taylor. We're going to watch a movie." I opened the door wider, so I leaned on the door frame. "More importantly, what are you guys doing?"

"We are..." Louis bit his lip. "..playing a game." Everyone mumbled in agreement, as if I might believe them. I didn't.

I held onto the doorknob, "Alright. Well then... have fun with your 'game'." I quoted as I quietly walked out Louis'  room. I didn't believe them. Not for a second. They've been together for days now. Whenever I would come in on them, they would stop what they were doing and look at me. They would freeze and tell me some ridiculous lie. I knew they were hiding something, and I was going to find out.

Louis' POV:

Everything was laid out in front of our little circle on the ground. The papers, phones, and everyone was present. All we needed was a good plan to get Carter coming here. My hands were trembling with excitement. I couldn't wait to see her again. Except, I still wasn't proud of myself for lying to my best friend that I was Ed Sheeran. "Alright, it's been a few days since the call from Carter. We need to call her parents." I held up the crumbled piece of paper in my hand with Carter's parents' phone number written on it.

"How will we do it with Harry here? He might just sneak up on us again." Louise queried.

I sighed, "You're right." I tried thinking of another way to not get caught by Harry, and it hit me.

Literally. "OW. NIALL! What was that for?!"

"You were frozen." He stated, shrugging it off.

"NO. I wasn't. I was thinking!" I defended, rubbing my head that he smacked on.

"Sorry, mate." He put his hands up in defense with Jasmine hugging him from the side for comfort. I sighed again, and thought about the idea I just had.

"I got it. Harry told me he's going on a date with Taylor tonight. So, we'll wait till tonight." I clasped my hands together.

"But when's tonight? We need to think of the time differences from here to there, Lou." Jasmine informed me. I bit my lip, trying to regain my memory.

"He's going around 8."

"Then that's.." Eleanor started to calculate the time zone. "12AM in New York." She sighed. We all groaned. Everything was hopeless right now. How could we get Carter here now? "Then what are we going to do?"

Niall rolled his eyes, "It's not like we can hop on a plane to New York and surprise her that we came to them instead of her coming to us. That's just crazy."

My eyes widened at Niall's sudden rant. "Niall! You are brilliant!"

He raised his eyebrows, "I am?"

"He is?" Everyone said altogether. They all gathered their eyes to me, looking at me like I was getting mental. But I wasn't. It was a perfect plan. Besides, what better way to go to Carter than her coming to us? Nothing.

"Would that work? I mean, we still have to do a few concerts here in the UK." Niall questioned reasonably.

I scoffed, "Of course. Maybe not this instant. We still have a few more concerts, and then-- don't we head to the US next week? We could just visit Carter then."

They all shrugged, "Would we be able to come?" Louise pointed to her and the girls.

"Of course! The more the merrier." I said happily, hugging Eleanor from the side. "Trust me, this will all work out. Once Carter sees us, she'll be shocked, but really ecstatic. I know I will. I can't wait to see my best friend again."

"Okay, it's settled. Instead of Carter coming to us, we're coming to her."
