44. Coming Back.

Carter's POV:

The next day, I started to gather all my belongings into a duffel bag that Zayn had lent me from his closet. Zayn didn't really need to pack his clothes, because he said he had more of his clothes back at the hotel. Perrie and the rest of the girls would be staying at Zayn's house until they have to go back to their tour.

I hugged all the girls for a long time before saying, "Bye girls. Please call me, text me, video chat me, anything. I've had so much fun with you."

"Aw, Carter. Of course we'll do anything that's possible to see you again. Please don't forget us." Jesy cooed, pulling away.

"I won't if you won't." I said, chuckling.

"Deal." Leigh-Anne agreed. "Stay safe alright? Call us if you need anything." She leaned closer to my ear, "Oh, and good luck."

Jade immediately pulled me in for a hug. Aside from the other girls, Perrie and Jade were the closest ones to me. Jade kept me company and Perrie kept me safe with her advice. Whenever I needed them, they were here for me. "I'm gonna miss you. Call me anytime. Even on tour."

"I will." I promised. "I'll miss you too. Please continue to be the coolest, sweetest, nicest girl ever."

I winked at her before looking at Perrie. I was seriously going to miss her the most. She's been there for me since the very beginning and she supported me throughout. "Perrie. Promise you and the girls will come and visit from time to time. I can't stand to be away from all of you." She held both of my arms and tried to pout.

"I promise. Please keep El and the girls happy." She looked at Zayn who was waiting right behind me. She told him to go get the car, and I'm guessing that meant that she was going to say something privately to me and the girls. "Remember, whenever you need me, I'm here. You can always come back." Then whispered, "Make the right choice, Carter. I know you're smarter than that."

I pulled her in for a hug, "Thank you for being there." I made all the girls join in for a group hug and we all started to tear up a little. I couldn't believe I was leaving the most sweetest girls I've ever met. But I knew that it was for the better and I knew I would have to leave someday. I was ready to go back, and I couldn't back out.

After our session on saying goodbye, I finally gave them a wave before I picked up my duffel bag and walked down the stairs to meet Zayn, who was already waiting for me on the driveway. He blew a kiss to Perrie and waved to the other girls before he drove off to the road where I saw the house was out of sight.

Harry's POV:

When I walked into the living room, I saw everyone either using their phones or watching TV. They were being more and more lazy as the day passes by. I couldn't blame them. After the awards show, we've done nothing but sound checks, concerts, and sometimes hanging out for a short time outside. We even hang out and talk with our fans on Twitter or real life.

Just as I entered the kitchen, someone lightly knocked on the front door. Everyone's head shot up and looked at the door. Eleanor and Louis went first and looked in the peephole. "It's covered." Louis said.

Everyone stood behind them while Louis asked, "Who is it?"

"Your biggest fan!" A girl squealed.

They all got confused. Especially me. Who in the world found out what our room number was? Maybe one little fan might not hurt. Hopefully. I nodded when Louis looked at me to see if it was okay. The lads sure didn't seem to mind.

Eleanor slowly opened the door and gasped loudly. Followed by Louis and Liam. I walked towards the door and saw, "CARTER!" Eleanor squealed, tackling her with a hug.

"Oh my gosh! I missed you soo much! Please don't ever run away like that without telling me!" Eleanor shrieked without pulling away. All I heard was Carter chuckling while Zayn was right behind her, greeting Louis.

"Carter! Where have you been!?" Louis exclaimed, being his regular crazy self again. He hugged her tightly while Carter just said nothing but shed a few happy tears. I think..

After about a good 12 minutes of hugging and talking, it was finally my turn to see Carter. She stood there and just looked at me.

"I think Harry and Carter need a moment." Liam spoke up, dismissing everyone into their own rooms. Finally.

Carter's POV:

When Liam announced that Harry and I needed a moment, I was actually nervous as to what Harry wanted to say. I looked back at the gang who were making their way to their rooms. Zayn had left the hotel room, saying something about staying with Perrie and the girls till they leave for their tour. I saw Niall look back at me and I smiled reassuringly. He turned back around, only to be dragged by Jasmine.

I turned back to Harry who let out a small smile before leading me to the couch. I sat beside him and faced him. The agonizing silence was making me go crazy, so I finally started the conversation. "So what do you want to talk about?"

"I-Uh.." He stammered repeatedly. Then, he shifted his seat to turn to me, completely face-to-face. "You didn't happen to get my text... did you?"

I did. I wanted to tell him that I did, but something in my mind told me not to and that would just ruin Harry and Taylor's relationship. If I did, what are the consequences? Would he break up with Taylor for me? Or would he just not talk to me anymore? What about Niall? What does it mean for me and him? Thoughts were covering my entire mind and I couldn't even think anymore. "No..." I trailed off.

"Oh," was all he said.

"Why?" I ask.

He cleared his throat, "Nothing.. nothing." I just nodded when he finally broke the silence again and called the gang to come back out.

Louis was the first to come out, followed by Eleanor and everyone else. They all joined us on the couch with Louis squeezing in right between Harry and I. I looked back at Niall who was standing right behind me with Jasmine in his arms. Jasmine and I haven't really spoken when I came back, nor did I even hug or greet her. I wasn't threatened, I was just not in the mood to talk to her with Niall around.

I turned away from Niall and looked back at everyone having their own conversations when Louis suggested that we should go do something. I wasn't actually sure what they had in mind, so they just dragged me out into the car and drove off to who knows where.

I guess you can say it was good to be back with everyone.
