45. Amusement Park... again.

Carter's POV:

Throughout the entire ride to wherever Louis was planning on going to, the only sounds I heard was the sound of Jasmine's constant giggling. I didn't know what she and Niall were doing behind me, but it sure was something to make her giggle like that. I mentally rolled my eyes and stared out the window as Louis suddenly turned on the radio to a Demi Lovato song.

Once we arrived, Louis let out a loud sigh as he turned off the ignition and announced, "WE'RE HERE."

We were in a huge parking lot, surrounded by many cars. I looked around and saw that we were in Walt Disney Hollywood Studios. We were in Hollywood?!

I followed everyone out of the van and huddled together in a circle as a giant group. They were all standing besides their loved ones except for Harry and I, who stood awkwardly in between them and waited for Louis to announce anything.

"Okay, we're all going together as a group because we want to spend as much time together as possible. If we ever get split up, just try and find us, if not, go by yourselves. Here are the wristbands Paul got for me." He handed everyone a blue wristband that read 'Disney' on it.

I clipped it on and followed everyone to the main entrance. This is basically my second time in an amusement park in a long time. The last time I went was with the boys and I was with... Harry.

Oh.

Harry's POV:

In my mind, I was praying that I would finally get to be alone with Carter. Ever since that text, I've been so hesitant with her and I thought she would get creep out by it. I did not want to risk anything that would hurt whatever we have.

Throughout the day, the gang and I spent so much time together when we finally got lost when the couples went to the arcade without us. Carter and I just left without them, enjoying each other's company as we rode rides together and even took silly pictures. We even got to take pictures with some of the Disney Characters.

After a good hour, we decided to have lunch at the small cafe in the park. Many people recognized me, but luckily they understood that I needed the break and privacy. But that didn't really stop them from taking pictures of me from a distance.

Carter looked away at most of the cameras that were aimed at us, making me chuckle. "Carter, it's okay." I tried putting her hands down, but she kept on putting it back up.

"No, it's not. If I get seen, my parents will kill me. Maybe even you." She inquired, making me chuckle. I doubt any of those things would happen. I just let it go and let her take my black sunglasses to wear.

Throughout lunch, Carter couldn't stop putting her head down to be hidden from the cameras. It was weird, because not once did she complain about the cameras practically in our faces while we were eating. She could have just told me to tell them to give us the privacy.

After lunch, we finally got out of the cafe only to be seen by cameramen everywhere. We were basically surrounded by 5 men with huge cameras. I tried ignoring them, because I knew how important it is for Carter to keep her identity a secret. I held her hand, entwining it as we squeezed through the crowd of fans and paps. I tried to find the rest of the boys, but that would create a bigger ruckus.

Her hand squeezed mine as if she was trying to tell me that she was scared. I held it tight and pulled her close so she wouldn't get lost.

"HARRY. IS THAT YOUR NEW GIRLFRIEND?"

"WHO IS SHE?"

"WHAT'S HER NAME?"

"WHERE DID YOU MEET HER?"

"WHY IS SHE HIDING HER FACE? IS SHE AFRAID?"

I ignored almost every question coming through my way as I made it to the parking lot where the park security found out who I was and helped me block away the paps from going into the car. Luckily, I had Louis car keys in my pocket, so Carter and I finally sat alone in the car and waited for the rest of the gang to finish their day. I had the slightest feeling that the day was going to go by really slow.

"Well that was crazy." I sighed, looking out the window to see the paps still trying to get past the security guards in the main entrance.

Carter took off my sunglasses and gave it back to me. "How do you go through this? It's insanely annoying."

I shrug, "I guess I'm used to it." I paused and looked down at my shoes. "So now what? We sit here until they come back?" It was still early in the day and I really didn't want to wait here. If I knew the boys well, I knew that they took their time for an amusement park. They usually stay until it gets dark.

"It's your choice. I mean, I really don't mind." Carter shrugged, pursing her lips.

Then, there was silence. I didn't know what to say at this point and I knew she didn't too. It was a matter of five minutes until I finally hear her voice.

"Hey Harry?" I nodded at her, hearing her take a deep breath.

"Hm?" I ponder.

"After today... I realized something."

I looked at her with confusion and curiosity. "What is it?"

Almost suddenly, she leans in and kisses me on the lips. I was shocked at first, but realized that this was her response. I kissed back, pulling her closer. I smiled through the kiss and she pulled away with a bigger grin. "Truth is.. I did see your text. After going through all of this with you I realized... We can't stay friends."

"Does this mean..?" I asked, trying not to sound too excited.

She smiled and nodded, "I love you too."

I chuckled a little in happiness and pulled her back for a kiss. She giggles through the kiss along with me feeling all happy again. Until she suddenly pulled away, looking shocked. "What's wrong?" I asked worriedly.

"What about Taylor?" She backed away, completely forgetting about her.

"Oh, you got me worried there." I sighed of relief. "I broke up with her weeks ago. We never have time for each other, so I just thought it was useless." I grabbed her hand and pulled her back close to me. She leaned on my chest as I stroked her hair. "Carter?"

"Yeah?" I hear her say.

"Promise me that you'll never leave me again." I tell her seriously as I continue to stroke her brown hair.

I feel her shake her head, "I'm sorry Harry. I can't promise you that. But I could promise you that I'll love you."

"We both promised each other that. A long time ago." I say, referring to our promise 4 years ago.

"I know. It's just I can't accept a promise that I know I can't keep. But loving you is the one promise I'll always keep." She tells me sympathetically, as I just nod in agreement.
