Traveling rose

Rose doesn't like change, or moving places, but when her widowed mother falls for a gypsy traveller she has no choice. Follows rose's adventures as she has too deal with new family, a new dad, and countless new homes as they travel across the open country.

3. A young girl with a little puppy

The taxi drive was  2 hours long, down to a small seaside town. Mum mugged me and winked before she payed the driver and lugged our  boxes out of the taxi.
I could almost taste the salt on my tongue and the cool breeze was fresh in face. I could get used too this, I thought to myself.

Mum got out a map from her pocket- it was in black and white, it looked very smudgy and dirty. I mentioned this to her and she told me winter and some friends had sketched it out for her. She blushed slightly as I peered at the map. We set of, juggling the heavy boxes between us while trying to navigate the map. Luckily the town was deserted and so no one could see us make a right muddle of everything. After five minutes  of slow trudging along the potholed road we reached a large oak tree and the road reached a dead end at the cliff edge. I groaned, we must have gone the wrong way - but mum stopped, pleaded her boxes on the long grass and sat down. "were meeting Winter here," she explained. " he's picking us up- look, they drew this spot on the map, right?"
"right," I sighed with relief. If I had had to carry these boxes any further I would have collapsed in a heap.

In the ten minutes we were sat there we were only passed by one person, an young girl with a little puppy, walking across the grass. She waved and smiled, and we both hope that everyone around here would be that friendly.
