14. Talking About Things

"What the hell are you doing here?" I practically yelled it to the person in my doorsteps.

"Chill, no need to shout!" the person said in their joking manner. I wasn't amused though I just wanted this person to leave.

"Wow!" I said sarcastically. "Aren't we cheeky?"

"I just wanted to ask when's our next tutoring section?" he asked. I felt dumb. What do I say? I mean, I planned on quitting yesterday after hitting his girlfriend with a ball. I I was quitting. I realized I needed to answer him, or maybe tell him that I was quitting. Oh, I don't know. Which was best?

"Umm, yeah about that," I began but I stopped. I didn't know how to say it. I knew he wouldn't like to hear me quitting, or maybe he will. I wasn’t sure of what to say at all, but I decided to be honest. “I kinda plan on quitting."

“Quitting?” he echoed while yelling at the same time. He gave me a death glare and I felt myself choke.

“Yeah, cause well,” I stuttered. How in the world am I going to explain the reason why I want to quit? I looked down at my feet cause I didn’t want to feel the pressure that he was giving me by staring at me.

“Cause?” he said waiting for me to continue.

"Look, I don't know okay?" I said.

"That is such a valid reason!" he said sarcastically while rolling his eyes.

"Okay, fine, I wanna quit cause of two reasons." I admitted while at the same time thinking of those two reasons. Honestly, I didn't have two reasons, I only had one. But I guess I really didn't have any good reason at all.

"Okay, let's hear it," he demanded and waited for me to say something.

"First, I hit your girlfriend with a ball and I guess I feel guilty so yeah," I reasoned out.

He laughed at my answer and then raised one of his eyebrows. "Second?"

"Second, I guess you don't really want it or need it," I felt dumb when I said the words. Of course he needed it, but I'm not so sure if he wanted it. I looked to see what his face was, and he looked at me i disbelief.

"So?" I said, trying to break the silence. "Is it okay, if I quit?"

"Of course not!" he said in an outrageous manner.

"Well aren't you happy?"

"Happy?" he yelled. "How am I happy?"

"Well at least you don't have to put the tutoring in your burden anymore," I said while trying to put on a smile. I tried to put on a kind smile, but instead I ended up putting on a worried smile.

"I thought I could rely on you," he shook his head in disappointment. "But,  I guess I can't."

I felt guilt rising in me, but I shook it away. How can I be feeling guilty for something that's not my fault? Well maybe, it is my fault. But partly it's his! He didn't even show interest in tutoring!

"Look, I'm sorry," I mumbled.

"Apology not accepted," he snarled.

"Fine, okay! Okay!" I said. I knew this was gonna go nowhere, and I was the weak one. No matter what happens, I will always be the one in the end who will bow down or give in to the popular people.

He looked at me with his eyebrows raised. He knew what I was going to say, knowing that I was the weak one. "I won't quit." I sighed.

"Good," he spat.

I rolled my eyes and looked at him. "Next tutoring lesson will be on-"

"Tomorrow," he interrupted. "I'm not busy tomorrow."

"Okay," I said. "So can you think of a permanent schedule, so that I on't have to run after you and ask for the next meeting."

"Yeah sure," he said. "It will be on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays."

"Thank God, it's only thrice a week," I muttered in relief. I could not bear to hang out with such an arrogant person.

"Yeah, unless you want to meet me everyday of the week," he smirked. Shoot! He must have heard me! Damn! Damn! Damn! I hate my life!

"Umm, no thank you!" I said giving him a mean smile.

"Oh come on," he said. "I'm really hot, and if you were normal you would have took advantage of this moment to hang out with me."

"Excuse me?" I said. "I'm sorry, but I guess I'm not normal."

"Yeah, you sure are not normal," he joked. I held back my laughter cause I didn't want him to say anything wrong.

"So, tomorrow." I reminded him.

"Yeah, in your house," he replied.

"Wait my house?"

"Yeah," he said giving me a 'do-you'have-a-problem?' look. "There's no problem right, since we did tutor there last time."

"Right," I paused. "So see you tomorrow, Styles."

"See you," he said and he left.

I closed my door and let out the sigh I was holding back. Well, there's no turning back now.

I went to my room, and fell asleep without even fixing myself. I so could not wait for tomorrow! I rolled my eyes, and before I knew it everything went dark.
