9. Second Time Around

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock. It was a wonderful morning, and I was surprisingly in a good mood. I got up and got ready for school. I walked down into the kitchen and prepared my own breakfast. Scarlet had left yesterday, back to her dorm. So I alone for four months.

I wasn't really in the mood of eating something, so I just gulped down some milk and left.

School was still a bore, as usual. Don't get me wrong but school may be fun, but sometimes it was just so hard to be attentive in class.

"Today I will be returning your test papers," Ms. Grace said. I shot my head up and looked over to Harry. He seemed pretty confident but I saw hi hands shaking terribly. "Grades so far good. But again only one managed to perfect this test again." She started handing out the papers and when she came to my table I closed my eyes. I couldn't look at her. If Harry's grade was a total fail, I had no idea what to think.

I opened my eyes and found Harry looking at his paper in disbelief. "A perfect score!" He jumped out of his seat and his girlfriend gave him a kiss in the cheek.

"Well done, Hazza," she said while kissing him in the cheek.

"Couldn't have done it without you, babe." I choked. He seriously thanked his girlfriend who didn't even have the guts of trying to tutor him. Life was just so unfair!

After class, I heard Ms. Grace congratulating Harry for the job well done. I realized I haven't even checked my paper, but whatever it was I didn't bother looking at it.

I sat with my friends for lunch. We chatted throughout lunch and were brainstorming ideas for college. We each had our college dream, and our ambitions that we all hoped we would accomplish.

"I'm gonna go get another burger," Cindy said. She stood up from her seat and headed towards the lunch lady.

"I'm gotta go," Beth said. "I have to fix the cameras for photography club." She patted me before leaving and I was alone again. Beth was really busy with the photography club lately since graduation was coming up and so was pictorials for the yearbook. I glanced over to Cindy but she was still waiting in line. I decided to take out my paper and check what actually was my score.

It was perfect but I wondered why she only said one got prefect, which was obviously Harry. There was a note on top and it said: Well done. Extra 5 points for this test. Over prefect it is. I smiled at myself. I was just glad that I could help out.

I know Harry might be a pain but maybe it was worth tutoring him. After all, I wouldn't want those extra points to go to waste.

It was Wednesday. Great! Just the day I was looking forward to. I had another tutoring later on with an ingratitude guy. I thought about not going to school and pretending to be sick just to evade tutoring him, but I realized it wasn't right.

I saw Harry by his locker that day. He didn't bother looking at me, or even asking if the tutoring thing was still going on. Well whatever! This time, I was only gonna wait for fifteen minutes. If he doesn't show up within this minutes, I would walk away. Yeah I did I have issues on being patient.

I waited in the library and I was becoming really sleepy. I closed my eyes for awhile and rested my head on my arms on the table. I guess it wouldn't hurt to take a rest.

I woke up when someone touched the side of my face. I saw it was Harry. I woke myself right away, and my mind started becoming alert.

"I'm so sorry," I apologized. I got the books that we needed for this tutoring and opened it to the page we were concentrating on for today. I didn't look at him, cause I didn't wanna be risked from being criticized or bullied by him.

"Oh that's okay, I was actually enjoying watching you sleep," he smirked. I rolled my eyes and decided to get this tutoring thing finished.

"So I heard you got perfect," I said after some awkward silence between us. It wasn't really awkward since we don't normally talk to each other.

"Yeah I did," he said boastfully.

Oh boy, here we go again with the arrogant douche bag. I sighed which was probably a mistake since it made him look at me.

"Anyways, so let's talk about Shakespeare." I said quickly. I got a big book which was a compilation of all of the Shakespeare books and comets in the world.

"That's big," he commented and I ignored his comment. I continued tutoring him, and most of the time I would see him roll his eyes at me. I didn't care, if he was listening or not. I really did not care.
