2. Death Contract

I sighed and looked at my locker before shutting it. I remembered all the pranks that had emitted from this locker, and they weren't the good ones.

I was already a Senior. College was just around the corner.

For the past weeks, the whole school had been so busy with the upcoming Senior Prom. Not like it interested me. I rolled my eyes as two girls passed by me talking about what they should wear fro prom. God, these girls were getting on my nerves. Every mall I went to, I could see a Senior student shopping for makeup, shoes and all those other things necessary for prom.

Prom. The thought of it gave me creeps. I honestly, could not even imagine myself in one of those dresses.

I shook the thought off my mind, and walked to my first class.

The period before lunch was always kinda boring. I looked at Ms. Grace as she discussed History. I felt like snoozing. History wasn't really my thing. Don't get me wrong, but it is interesting and all that but the way she discussed it made me want to snooze out.

I was close to falling asleep, but I realized it wasn't the wisest choice. The last time someone fell asleep in class, the popular gang pulled on an embarrassing prank on that person. It was so sad.

"Pssst," I turned around to see who it was. Oh great, it was him. Harry Styles. I rolled my eyes and didn't bother looking back at him again. I forced my eyes to look back into my book and listen to the discussion of Ms. Grace instead of listening to Harry pissing me around.

I stood up after the bell rang for lunch but Ms. Grace called me to her. I went to her and saw that Harry was going to her too. God, what does he want?

"Ahh, Sophie," she paused and then her eyes turned to Harry, who showed up beside me. "And Harry." I caught Harry rolling his eyes the moment Ms. Grace looked away. "Harry you may sit down for awhile." Harry did as what he was told and then Ms. Grace shifted her eyes to me again.

"Mr. Styles over there seems to be having trouble with his grades lately," she looked over to Harry who was clearly busy doing his own thing. "And I want you to try to help him out with his grades."

I looked at Ms. Grace with an appalled look. How in the world am I going to tutor a guy who practically hates me to his grave. I choked and I felt myself lost. I couldn't say anything. I cleared my mind slowly, and found myself recovering. "Is it a must?"

She looked at me and then sighed. "Look Sophie, if you will tutor Mr. Styles to the point that his grades will improve , you will earn a couple of extra points in all your subjects."

It almost seemed like a teacher was bribing me. I reconsidered the tutor thing for the extra points. Maybe it might not be such a bad idea. But again, this was Harry Styles we were talking about. Ms. Grace looked at me waiting for my reply.

"Geez, I don't know," I paused. It was a hard decision. But in the end I gave my answer. "Fine, I will. But I don't get how this extra points thing will go."

"It's simple, you will tutor him in all subject and then if we see an improvement in his grade all your subject teachers will give you a boost in your scores." she explained. It was a short explanation, but I understood it. I nodded my head and left the room.

Harry stood up from his seat and followed me out of the room. I didn't really notice he was following me until his hands grabbed my arm.

"What?" I asked in an annoyed tone. I didn't mean to ask it in an annoyed manner, but it somehow just came out of my mouth. He looked at me with an angry look. His eyes looked deep into mine, and I felt like I just signed my death contract by tutoring this guy.

"Are you my tutor or not?" he asked. He kept his voice low and I wondered why. He was usually yelling at everyone and barking orders at people. That's when it hit me. He was scared that people would find out that his grades are dropping. I mean, everyone worshiped the popular group for all their 'beautiful' faces. But it seems like being popular doesn't really mean you've got good grades.

"Does it matter?" I asked him. It felt good to know what he feared off, and for once I had superiority over him. I could tell I just provoked him, but he couldn't do anything about it cause we were Seniors. Which pretty much meant that if your grades are dropping, you are welcomed to stay in high school forever.

"Just answer!" he barked at me. Oh great! Now I just totally provoked him.

"Yeah, I am." I said in a low voice. I guess his voice just scared me. It always scared everyone.

He smiled and muttered something before letting go of my arm. He left and I pretty much knew I just signed my death contract.
