I'm your average girl, moody teenager, everyone knows me. Except they think I'm a murderer. It's not true, of course, but does that matter? Not to them; they hate me, but I survive. But it isn't until a certain band member- with the name of Niall James Horan- comes to town that my world really spins. What will happen to me? That's for me to know, and me to tell. See you around.

12. Not At All Normal

I was sitting on my old bed, hair still dripping wet from my shower. As I stared down at my feet, I was just wishing I would wake up any second. Too bad that never happened. Instead, I was forced to dry my hair and trudge down the stairs to the kitchen and act happy. Although, I really didn't act, because I didn't say one word the whole time, no matter how much they tried to get me to.

"Come on, hun! You can't be like this forever, you know." My father said towards the end of the meal. Oh, I think I can.

"Can I be excused? It's disgusting sitting next to her," My brother complained suddenly. We never liked each other, I think he would rather me rot in jail than have to hug me. I could say the same about him. But instead of giving a snarky comment like I wanted to, I simply flipped him off.

"Liylaray Hera! That is terrible behavior! You too, Ryan! Go to your rooms, both of you!" My mother exclaimed.

"Thanks," Ryan said as I sprinted up the stairs. I slammed the door to my room and fell on the bed. They kept my room exactly the same- except for the extra three layers of dust. The door had been shut for the last two years, never opened. I took that as a good thing- despite the fact that there's probably a ton of spiders in here. I shivered at the thought as I pushed the covers off of my bed. I had just sat down, when the door to my room opened.

"Honey?" My mother asked at the door. I just glared at her and finished settling in, reaching for my phone.

"Please, I just want things to get back to normal," She continued, but I was scrolling through my phone, looking for Nialls' number. My mother sighed and snatched the phone out of my hands putting it next to her.

"If you don't start talking soon, there will be consequences. I will do what must be done, no matter how extreme or dangerous," She said coldly. I looked up at her and knew she was telling the truth. She did everything in her power to make me the most popular in school, and it worked. Back then, being popular was everything- I was very shallow, which I regret. Although, I was never as bad as Caroline, I was still nice. Still I just stared at her, not caring what she would do.

"Fine. Have it your way," She concluded, walking out of my room. I rolled my eyes and went back to my phone, finally finding Nialls' number.

To: Niall...

'She actually thinks I'm going to speak to anyone here.'

It took less than two minutes for my phone to ping, indicating I had a text.

From: Niall...

'She probably just wants to make you think she has hope'

To: Niall...

'She threatened me with 'consequences', as if she thinks that will help'

From: Niall...

'Well, this might help. I'm really close to getting you out of there, but it turns out you need more than money for that.'

To: Niall...

Thanks for trying at least. Oh, if you don't hear from me tomorrow, I've been bitten by a poisonous spider and am slowly dying.'

From: Niall...

'That's pleasant?

To: Niall...

'Very. I'll call you tomorrow.'

From: Niall...

'G'night, love.'

What's up with people from the UK saying 'love' so often like that? I never knew, I just expected it. Anyhow, I was definitely going to have nightmares tonight, thank goodness I don't have arachnophobia.
