I'm your average girl, moody teenager, everyone knows me. Except they think I'm a murderer. It's not true, of course, but does that matter? Not to them; they hate me, but I survive. But it isn't until a certain band member- with the name of Niall James Horan- comes to town that my world really spins. What will happen to me? That's for me to know, and me to tell. See you around.

4. A Long, Long Time

It's been a few days since he was at my door, and let's just say he had my attention. Something about him makes me think he knows more than he's letting on, and I'm determined to figure out exactly what that is. Also, it seems my room wasn't exactly the only thing Maura seemed to let slip. He now knows how I get my education, in the vents. Every once in a while, he would look up, giving the slightest smile, so no one noticed. When I was feeling generous, I was nice enough to give him answers in class- especially since he wasn't keen on reading the books for English. It's just something about him, I don't know, it makes me want to help. Although, on his first day, I saw him sitting with Caroline Rodrigez, the most popular girl in school. That's not unusual, she always goes for the new guys so she can either destroy or build their reputation before it even starts. Oh, how I dislike her. I'd say hate, but I really don't hate anything, don't believe in it I guess. A strong word, hate is.

Any how, now I was sitting on my bed, sadly, awaiting Niall. I don't nearly like the fact of him coming, but after his last class ended, he nonchalantly pointed towards my door, and I couldn't stop him, I knew. It's been more than an hour since then, thank fully he realized he couldn't come right after school. A knock soon sounded at the disguised door. As I opened it, Niall ducked through the little faulty door and walked in.

"What happened to 'if you talk to me your reputation will be gone'?" I asked.

"I don't care. Besides, I wanted to say, I did actually hear about you. Truthfully, I didn't believe I would." He smirked.

"Lem'me guess; Physco, murderer, maniac."

"Along those lines. But I do believe your story," He smiled. "and by the way, the rest of the boys are coming soon, wanted to come because they've never been here." My smile that had barely formed disappeared.

"Don't bring them anywhere near here. Got it? You shouldn't even be here, let alone four other guys. You bring them, I swear to God, I will hurt you. And then I will never speak to you again."

"That's kind of harsh again,"

"I have my reasons. And look, don't expect to be treated as celebrities. People in this town could care less about boy bands."

"Why's that?" He questioned.

"Too different. Unpredictable."

"Good. We do want our privacy back sometimes." He hesitated. "Listen, when was the last time you went out to eat with someone?" I almost burst out laughing, knowing that answer all too well.

"Did Maura set you up to this?"

"She mentioned it. Worth a try."

"Well, then the answer to your question is a long, long time." I sighed.

"Then, I'll stop by with food at seven tomorrow?" It came out of his mouth as more of a question. I didn't know. I've been locked out of other peoples lives for so long, I've forgotten what it's even like. Besides, I could do something stupid and ruin it all, like I always did. But it was worth a try.

"Sure," I let a real smile appear, which he returned. As he walked out, I realized there was just something about him that I couldn't resist. It's almost as if I absolutely had to get to know him. But, I was scared to do so. No one knows anything about me. I made sure that there were some things even Maura didn't know. I just had to wonder if he'd actually stick around to figure it out. I always do. No one ever would, though. I sighed at those thoughts, and sat back down at my desk, continuing to write. I hope someone will get these.
