7. Ida and Harry

One of those nights where you feel like something amazing is going to happen to you, but you can't quite put your finger on it...? That's how Ida was feeling when she was going to a One Direction concert with her best friends, Jo and Macy. However, when the concert was unexpectedly cancelled, she thought that those plans would completely change... but would they really?

"I can't believe that the concert was cancelled. I'm so freakin' ticked off right now it's not even funny," Ida said looking at Jo and Macy as they sat on a park bench.

"I know. I can't believe that it was just a few hours before the concert too. Normally there is a day or two's notice about these kinds of things..." Jo replied.

"I hope all of the guys are okay. I hope no one is sick or hurt," Macy said.

"What about us?" Jo said, jumping up from the bench. "We traveled a couple hundred miles to get here, spent money on tickets-" then she stopped talking.

"What? What's wrong?" Ida asked.

"Oh man! You know that everywhere is going to be packed with people coming in for the concert..." Macy said.

Ida just buried her head in her hands and thought, Seriously?! What else could go wrong?!

Then, of course, it started raining.

"Oh my god! Run!" Jo yelled.

"Where are we going to run to?! There's nowhere to go!" Ida yelled back.

So, the three girls ran to a restaurant on the square and stood underneath the canopy by the front.

"What are we going to do?" Macy asked.

"I don't know about you two, but I don't think we can get any wetter, so we might as well walk around to all of the hotels and see if they have any open rooms," Ida said after a few seconds' silence.

The girls set off walking toward a group of hotels around the square. They checked at the front desk of the first hotel, and were turned away before they could ask about rooms because they were "dripping with water." The second hotel they tried was booked up, along with the third and fourth.

By the time they had visited the fourth hotel, the rain had subsided, and they went and sat on the sidewalk, feeling dejected.

After they had sat there for a little while, a limo pulled up alongside the curb next to them. The back door opened, and a voice said, "Get in."

Ida, being the voice of reason, started freaking out and like, hyperventilating. Jo was go for anything that would get them off the street, and Macy was a little indecisive.

"Come on," Jo complained. "Why don't you guys just live a little every once in a while?"

Jo grabbed Macy's hand, and got into the car.

Oh Geeze... Ida thought. If I let them go alone, and they get murdered, I'd have to kill myself.

So after just a second's hesitation, she got in the car... and shut the door behind her.

When Ida turned to look at the girls, she bumped foreheads with someone in the car.

"Ow, dangit!" The voice said.

"Oh man, I'm sorry," Ida replied.

She then lifted her head, and looked into the green eyes of Harry Styles.

"No problem love, my fault entirely," he replied.

Ida sat there, stunned at who she saw looking at her.

"Are you alright?" He asked her after she didn't reply.

When she still didn't reply, Harry held up two fingers and asked her, "Alright now blondie... how many fingers am I holding up?"

Ida snapped out of her reverie, and said, "Oh, two."

"Thank god. I thought maybe I gave you a concussion," Harry replied.

"Oh no, I'm fine. Are you alright?" Ida asked.

"With his thick head? He could head-butt a brick wall and be fine," a thick, irish accent said from behind him.

Ida peeked around Harry, and saw Niall sitting there, with Jo and Macy on either side of him.

Ida giggled looking at the scene before her. Imagine, missing a One Direction concert, but getting to meet Harry Styles personally instead. Best. Day. Ever.

Ida looked back at Harry who had been staring at her the whole time.

"Is there something on my face?" Ida asked.

"No..." Harry replied. "It's just..."
"What? What's wrong? My hair?" Ida asked.

"No, nothing like that. It's just your eyes. They're so pretty," he said, still staring at her.

"Oh," Ida replied, slightly blushing.

"No, seriously," Harry replied. "Niall, come over here and look at 'em mate."

"Wow, those things are like gems!" Niall exclaimed.

"Guys, stop..." Ida pleaded. "They're not that pretty."

Niall went back over to Jo and Macy, and Harry leaned back in his seat.

"Whatever you say, love. But those are some of the prettiest baby blues I've ever seen in my life," Harry said.

Harry leaned in and pushed a stray strand of hair behind Ida's ear, which made her blush again.

"What's your name gorgeous?" Harry asked.

"I'm Jo!" Ida heard Jo yell from behind Harry.

"And I'm Macy," Macy said, following suit.

"Well, those are pretty names... but I was actually asking beautiful blue eyes over here." Harry replied.

"My name's Ida," Ida said.

"That's a cute name," Harry replied.

Then, just like it was natural, Ida leaned back, and Harry put his arm around her. The group talked like they had been friends for years, and it couldn't have been any better.
