“You aren’t married, right?” I question, my eyes shooting up as I grab his hands and inspect them.

“No, not married. Not engaged. Not anything,” he laughs, pulling his feet beneath him as he sits and snatches my phone and begins to take a few pictures of himself.

“Okay, your turn,” I laugh, taking his phone and doing the same thing but this time, instead of laughing, he cocks his head and smiles sweetly.

“What is your favorite movie?” he smiles, rolling over onto the grass and looking up at the sky.

“That’s a tough-y,” I joke, standing and dusting off the back of my jeans with my hands.

“Mine’s Toy Story!” Liam cries from behind me, running and lifting Louis off his feet as he carries him like a football player would a ball.

“Not like you were asking,” a tall brunette chuckles, coming up behind me and placing her hand onto my shoulder much like an older sister would, “I’m Jessica, Liam’s girl.”

“Nice to meet you. I’m Kay...” I start but decide that I cannot end that sentence the way she did, “Louis’s friend.”

“So, are you gonna go get some food or what?” Liam chimes, running towards the car as he throws Louis inside with a thump, “Kay are you coming or do I have to come get you?”

I throw my hands up in defeat as I skip over to the car and slid into the back seat with Louis as he tries to readjust himself. Liam opens the door for Jessica and kisses her on the forehead as she slips into the passenger's seat. Her hand presses against the glass of the window and he presses his on the glass above hers. I can’t even imagine what he sees when he looks at her. Her eyes flicker with life, like a child on Christmas and her smile was as warm as a soft sweater on a cold winter’s morning.

“Hey Li?” Jessica calls, as Liam skips around and settles into his seat and tries to crank up the car.

He flicks his head to her and smiles sweetly back and grasps her hand, “Yeah, babe?”

“Nothing,” she giggles, tightening her seatbelt as I decide to do the same.

Liam’s car was much like Louis’ in the fact that its interior was completely leather but instead of smelling like aloe, it smelled like a fresh violets and vanilla. Louis grabbed his phone from his pocket and pulled up his messages. The message was hard to see but the recipient was very clear. He was texting me when we were, like, two feet away.

“I’m right here, Lou,” I laugh, plucking his phone away and realising that he wasn’t texting me.

He lied to me. It wasn’t over between them. He lied to me.

“Liam, can you bring me back to the house? I’m suddenly not so hungry,” I snap, throwing Louis’s phone at him as I undo my seat belt and tap Liam on the back of the head.

“We’re almost there, though,” Liam pouts, pulling into a brown brick building and parking in a small space by the front.

“Kay, do you just want to grab something quick and then we can go?” Jessica asks, looking worriedly at me with her warm sweater eyes.

I try to choke back tears, I didn’t own Louis. He wasn’t my boyfriend. Stop crying. Stop crying! Tears rolled down my face like a waterfall and they didn’t show any sign of stopping.

“You’re a real jerk! You know that?” I scream at Louis, throwing open the door as I run inside for the bathroom.

“What did you do?” Liam snaps at Louis as I run, picking up speed with every step.

The white door with red lettering beckons me forward as I push forward through people that seemed to either have friends, lovers, or anyone that would give a damn about them. All of these things I lacked. I pushed into the single stall bathroom and locked it behind me. No one could see me like this. Tears cascaded down my face harder and harder until all that I could do was sob. Sob for everything that has happened to me. Sob for Zayn and the wounds he left. Sob for Carter and him leaving me. Sob for Louis and that girl. Sob for everything.

“Kay, it’s Jessica. Let me in,” a knock on the door rang out, awaking me from my tortured thoughts and leaking eyes.

“Go away,” I snap back, standing as I snag a towel from the ring and try to dab my eyes.

“Kay, let me in or I will break this door down,” she threatens, as I think about letting her in.

I move towards the door and press my ear to the door. Her breathing came from the other end and came slowly but easily. She was alone. I creak open the door and allow her in before returning to my crying. I wasn’t going to collect myself for her, she wasn’t worth it.

“Kay, what happened?” she whispers, sinking down to the floor with me as she wraps an arm around my shoulders and holds me tight, “Tell the Jessica.”

“I assume you know Olivia...” I start as I continue to sob into my hands with closed fists.

“She’s bad news, Kay,” she frowns, hugging me tighter, “Is this about her and Louis?”

“Louis said he was over her. He said it was a thing in the past. He lied. He lied to me,” I choke out, writhing my hands into two fists as I grasp her in a weak hug.

“How did he lie to you?” she questions, turning to me and wiping the tears from eyes like the older sister I never had.

“He was texting her. He was meeting her here, in a few minutes actually. I can’t go back out there. Not when he’ll be with her,” I choke out, standing and trying to brush myself off and dab at the tears.

“Maybe we can sneak out. Liam can drive us home,” she reasons, standing with me and smiling again.

I nod and turn to grasp the door handle and hesitating. What if I saw him? I wouldn’t be able to control myself. I would either kiss him or slap him which both seemed like an option. Jessica grasps my shoulders and leads me through the door with a skip in her step. I guess I could count on her to make me feel better.

“Liv, I missed you so much,” I hear Louis voice blare behind me and I can already tell this was a bad idea.

“Oh Louis, I’m prepared to take you back,” Olivia smiles from behind me and I feel a lump rise in my throat that no amount of punching the hell out of Olivia’s face could lower.

“Liv, I’m so glad to hear you say those words,” I hear Louis gush, and I spin on my heels to find him and her, hand-in-hand.

“Keep walking,” Jessica demands, grabbing my wrists and trying to turn me towards the car with no success.

“But Louis, why did you just disappear like that? I missed you so much, babe,” Olivia smiles her Joker-like smile with two red stained lips and curly blonde hair, the classic Taylor Swift look.

“You know, we moved unexpectedly and I forgot to tell you. My bad,” he chuckles, rolling his fingers over her knuckles like he owned her.

And I guess in a way, he did.

I feel my feet lead me forward towards them but far enough that he can’t see me. My fists clenched tightly as I felt my feet lead me closer.

“Stop Kay,” I whispered, gritting my teeth as I felt my steps lead me closer and closer to the Serial Dater look-alike with the boy that could care less about me.

“Who’s that chick?” the look-alike rolls her eyes, staring at me as Louis turns and makes eye contact with me.

“Nobody,” he hisses, repeating her eye movement back at me as he continues his convo with the girl that had stolen his heart.

I felt like my heart had been stabbed fifty billion times with a chainsaw and he had decided to continue the damage it with that expensive car. My eyes started to drip again and before I knew what I was doing. I felt my hand raise and smack him hard across the face. No one was going to talk to me like that ever again.

“What the hell?” Olivia chimes in, rising and letting her black stilettos walk her over to me with a flick of her hair.

“Louis, why do you do this?” I hiss, pushing Olivia away as she stumbles back and hits a waiter, “Why would you do this to me?”

“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” he lies, reaching for Olivia to help her up from the floor with a glow of red in his eyes.

“How about you show your precious Liv your tattoo? Hmm?” I snap, grabbing his arm and revealing the tattoo that was based upon me.

“It was a drunken mistake. It means nothing,” he cooly lies, pushing me aside as he rises to meet me face-to-face, “Go away, Kiss and Kill ‘Em.”

“How do you know about that?” I choke out, tears bubbling at the ends of my eyes.

“I saw you and Zayn that night, idiot. And I must say, I understand why Carter did that. You are a pain,” she laughs, grabbing Louis’ waist and staring at me, “Move along, Kiss ‘Em.”

This was the moment of no turning back. I had four options: attack Louis, attack Olivia, walk away, or the decision I had decided upon.

“Go awa-” Louis started before being interrupted with my lips pressed onto his.

Don’t ignore me, Lou. Don’t ignore me. I felt his hands reach for my shoulders as he pushes me away, “Wow, you really are a whore. Aren’t you?”
