Rock Me

7. The Hospital

"Olivia!" I cry, bending down next to Niall. "What the hell is going on?!"

"I don't know!" Niall sobs.

"Me and Olivia went downstairs to get something to eat. The lady at the hotel bakery said the muffin Olivia picked out didn't contain peanuts. But she must have mistaken it because once Liv unwrapped it, she started going into shock," Louis says, bending down next to me, pushing a strand of hair out of her eyes.

I looked at Olivia, tears in my eyes. I pushed my fingers through her hair. She looked helpless, sick, worried.

"Baby, can you talk?" I asked frantically. She shook her head and she stopped gasping.

"Oh my god! Her air way is completely cut off!" Zayn said, kneeling next niall.

"Oh my god. This can't be happening," I sobbed.

"Babe, whatever yo do, don't black out. Hold on!" Liam said urgently. "The ambulance will be here soon."

I picked her up out of niall's hands and ran to the door.

"Louis! The door!" I yelled. Everyone came running and we rushed down the hall. I pressed the down button on the elevator and it immediately opened. My jaw dropped.

"Hey! Whoa, what's going on?!" Eleanor asks, ushering us into the elevator.

"Olivia is having an allergic reaction!" Niall said, holding onto her hand.

"Oh my god!" She yells. "What can I do?!" She asks, grabbing hold of Olivia's other hand.

"The ambulance is on its way. We're meeting them in the lobby," Louis says, wrapping an arm around Eleanor and giving her a kiss. The elevator door opens. We step out and almost immediately, the paramedic are rushing through the hotel doors. A large man takes her from my arms and places her on a gurney.

"Sweetie, I need you to open up your mouth," an older woman says, shining a light down her throat. "Okay, she's in full-on shock! We need to get her to the hospital, stat!"

"Olivia!" I run to her side.

"We'll meet you there!" I hear Liam shout. I look back and see all of them crying. I nod and run out the doors. I jump into the ambulance with Olivia.

A nurse slips a breathing mask on over Olivia's nose and mouth. She gets a shot out of a cabinet and turns back to Olivia.

"Okay, Olivia. I'm going to need you to hang on. Don't close your eyes. This is going to hurt, I won't lie. But it will be really quick. Its an adrenaline shot. Ready?" the nurse asks. Olivia grabs my hand and I wrap both my hands around hers. She nods slightly.

"Okay! 1...2...3!" the nurse puts the shot in the side of her neck and Olivia's grip tightens.

"Oh my god!" I say, getting dizzy. I look into her blue eyes and release more tears. If she doesn't make it through this, I don't think I will, either. I start to think this might be it when I hear her gasp.

"Yes! There we go!" the nurse says, patting my back. "She's gonna be okay, Harry."

"Really?" I ask, crying tears of joy.

"Yes. But she'll need lots of rest. And maybe a night in the hospital, just so we can monitor her recovery," the nurse says. I continue crying as we pull up to the hospital. The nurses take the gurney Olivia is on and go into the hospital before I can even get off. I jump off and run after them when I hear a familiar voice.

"Harry!" Louis shouts, running towards me, everybody following close behind. I run into Louis's arms and sob into his shoulder.

"Haz, what happened? Talk to us," Niall says.

"She's gonna be alright," I sigh as Eleanor hands me a tissue.

"Oh thank god," they all say. I laugh.

I wake up to the sound of beeping. Where am I? I look around the room and see Louis, Liam, Zayn, Niall, Eleanor, and Harry. Oh my god, I'm in the hospital.

"What the fuck?" I say, examining the needle in my wrist.

Harry, who had been sitting in a chair next to my bed, holding my hand, and everybody else looked up, surprised to see I'm awake.

"Baby, are you okay? You're finally awake," Harry says, leaning in closer.

"Yeah, I'm fine. But my neck hurts like shit and there's an IV in my wrist."

"Well, yeah. That's what happens when you're rushed to the hospital because you stopped breathing," Louis laughed.

Eleanor walks over to me and sits on the bed, leaning down and kissing my cheek.

"How ya feeling, girl?" she asks.

"I've been better," I laugh, grabbing my neck in pain.

"That would be the adrenaline shot. You probably wouldn'y have made it if they didn't give it to you. It may hurt like hell for a couple days, but it will get better," Harry says.

"How long do I have to stay here?" I ask to no one in particular.

"You can leave today," Louis says, standing behind El with a hand on her back.

"Weird. I normally have to spend the night for monitoring," I say.

"You've been here for two nights, babe," Liam says.

"What?!" I ask.

"Your heart didn't respond to the medication well and you went into a coma... or whatever you want to call it. You've flat lined twice in the past forty-eight hours," Zayn explains.

"They didn't think you would wake up. And if you did, they thought you wouldn't remember a thing," Harry says.

"Knock knock!" A nurse chirps from the doorway.

"Hi, nurse Kara," Niall says.

"Hi, everybody! Olivia, I just wanted to let you know that you are free to go home. You're responding to the new treatment much better!" She says.

"Awesome!" Harry and I say at the same time. Kara leaves and Harry helps me get ready to go back to the suite.

"Guess what?" He says, grabbing my bags.

"What?" I ask.

"You've been telling us a lot about your best friend, Rydelle, right? Well I did the honors of calling her to come with us on tour to keep you company," He says, following me out the door. I stop dead in my tracks and spin to face him, my jaw hanging open.

"Oh my god, Harry! When is she gonna be here?!" I ask.

"Tonight," He smirks. I wrap my arms around his neck and kiss him passionately. He groans in the back of his throat and I laugh.

"You're killing me," He whines.

"Why? Because I'm such an amazing kisser?" I laugh.

"Well, that and the fact that its been 2 weeks since we last had sex, and I can't take it anymore," He smiles, getting into the drivers seat. I sit in the passenger seat and look behind me at Zayn, Louis, Niall, Liam, and Eleanor who had all filed into the back seat.

"Well on the bright side, you've spared me the misery of tossing and turning all night because you're making so much noise," Zayn says.

I smile and sit back, closing my eyes.

"Two weeks is long enough," I whisper, loud enough he can hear me.
