Rock Me

13. Spoiled

Olivia's POV

"Yes, Cora. Yes, I'm scheduling the flight now," Harry laughs.

We're laying on our hotel bed, feet out in front of us, our backs against the headboard. I'm reading on my kindle and Harry has his MacBook on his lap, crusing around an international flight line website. His cellphone is carefully being held between his shoulder and ear as he talks with my mother about our plans to visit for Thanksgiving.

"Alright. Yep. We'll see you soon. Okay. Okay, bye," he says as he hangs up.

"First name basis. What else have I missed? Oh wait, I know! They're adopting you, aren't they?" I say, my tone dripping with sarcasm. He rolls his eyes before exiting out of the airline website and pulling up a London real estate page.

"I have a surprise for you," he says, smiling at me. I snuggle into his side and he wraps his arm around me.

"I like surprises," I smile.

"I don't," he frowns.

Ever since the accident with Bo, he has a hard time trusting people. Wait, no. He has a hard time trusting anything but me. Even the idea of a surprise is now an enemy to him.

"Babe, it's been weeks since we took care of the Bo situation. Lighten up, please," I say. Authority is clear in my voice, but I'm speaking softly as if not to set off a noise-sensitive bomb buried deep within him.

"I know," he sighs. "I just don't need anything unexpected for a while. Even if it's a good unexpected, I still could go without for a few more weeks," he says, his eyes softening.

I study his facial features carefully as he navigates the website. His greed eyes contrast perfectly with his fare skin and the way his tongue darts out to wet his lips every few seconds and how he always fixes his hair even when it's perfect...

"Okay, okay, close your eyes," he says, his smile widening.

I close my eyes and hear him click a few more buttons before he tells me to open.

It takes me a moment to realize what I'm looking at, but when I do my hand flies to my mouth and it takes everything in me not to straddle him and kiss him with all my might.

"You did not," I say excitedly.

"Yes, I did," he laughs. "You said you've been getting fed up with hotel rooms, so I called up the lady who sold my flat and asked her if there was anything in London that looked over the London Bridge. She showed me this place when we were in London a couple weeks ago and I couldn't resist. I knew you would love it," he says.

"Oh my god, Harry!"

"And one more surprise," he says.

"Oh no," I say sarcastically.

"Your sister is flying out next week," he says, inhaling deeply and then holding his breath.

"Which one?" I ask slowly.

"Taylor," he says.

I let out a breath of relief, which he does too.

I have two older sisters. Mattie and Taylor. I've never really gotten along with Mattie, though. Our father is the Governor of Kansas, and she takes her title way too far. I'm sure she's not like that anymore, but I guess we'll find out at Thanksgiving.

"Why is she flying out?" I ask.

"Well I'll be flying into Kansas from France, since I'll be there for more recording stuff," he says. "I don't want you traveling alone, so I paid for her to fly out here on Monday in first class and then the two of you will fly to Kansas in two weeks from today."

"Poor Taylor. She'll have crazy jet lag," I laugh, shaking my head. "I really don't want you to leave tomorrow," I say, resting my head on his shoulder.

"I know. I don't want to either. But lucky for you, the penthouse is fully furnished, so we'll drive over there tonight and get settled. That way, you'll be staying somewhere secure and your own," he says.

"Sounds great," I say, standing and walk over to my suitcase, pulling my clothes from the drawers and packing them neatly.

"I didn't even know you had sisters," Eleanor says as we wait for Taylor at her terminal. The amount of fans that are being held back is insane, and I think this might send my progressing deafness over the edge.

"Neither did I," I joke.

She looks at me wide eyed before catching my smile and jabbing my side with her elbow.

"Ouch," I groan, my eyes shutting quickly in pain.

"Olivia, I'm so sorry," she says. My burns are still healing, and people seem to always be forgetting about them.

"Olivia Jakobs, you sexy beast!"

I know exactly who it is before turning around to face Taylor.

"Taylor!" I squeal. "I still cannot believe you're in London!"

"Me neither! It's cold," she says.

"Taylor," Rydelle says with a smile.

"Oh my gracious! Those One Direction boys are treating you two real good, aren't they?" she laughs, pulling Ry into a hug.

"Tay, this is Eleanor. And that's Perrie," I smile, introducing the two girls she's never met.

"You girls are all so gorgeous," she says. We all laugh as we start walking through the mass group of fans behind the barricades.

"And all these girls?" Taylor says with her eyebrows raised.

"Mostly fans of the boys," Perrie explains.

"But the majority of them are either Little Mix fans or Olivia Jakobs fans," Rydelle says.

"Oh, right! You're famous now, too, aren't you?" Taylor says, playfully slapping her forehead.

"Shut up," I laugh.

"Wait until you see the penthouse, Taylor," El says, turning around to look at Taylor, Perrie, and Rydelle in the backseat.

"A penthouse, the car... Harry loves to spoil you, doesn't he?" Taylor teases. I look in the rear view mirror and stick my tongue out and getting the bird in return.

"What would mom say if she saw you doing that?" I laugh, making her roll her eyes.

"Anyways... as I was saying. When you see the penthouse, chances are you'll die. I did," El says.

"Same," Rydelle laughs.

"Is it that great?" Taylor asks.

"Its better. It looks over the London Bridge. And get this... Harry picked it out, not Olivia. Olivia didn't even know he was house hunting," Perrie adds.

"Or... penthouse hunting," Rydelle says with a shrug.

"Here we are," I sigh. After dropping all the girls off at their houses, I'm tired and ready to sleep.

But Taylor is here. Right.

"Liv, I love this car," Taylor says, drawing out the word Love as she walks around to the trunk to get her one suitcase.

"I know, it's great. But I don't know why he felt I needed my own Audi when I could have just driven his Audi," I say.

She looks at me as I close the trunk and we both burst out in laughter.

"You hate having to share anything, let alone a car," she laughs.

"Well I've been sharing it with him for months, but that's not the point," I say as we get into the elevator.

"And what is the point?" she asks.

"He's spoiling me," I sigh.

"There is no way in hell you could consider that a bad thing, Olivia Jakobs," she says as if she were my mother scolding me.

"You say that... but wait till you see the Penthouse," I laugh.

Harry's POV

"Hey baby!" her sweet voice fills the room as she answers my face time.

"Hey, beautiful," I smile.

"How's France?"

"Same as always. Everywhere you go smells like pastries and you can never actually sleep because of all the lights on that stupid tower," I say. Her face shows an unknown emotion... soft eyes but a cheeky grin. "What are you up to?"

"Oh, nothing... I just changed your ringtone on my phone and ipad. I'm relatively proud that I thought of the song for you," she laughs.

"Oh geez. What is it?"

"You know that song by Cobra Starship?"

"Which one?"

"Good Girls Go Bad," she laughs.

"Why am I not surprised?" I laugh.

"OLIVIA!" Louis pounces onto the bed beside me.

"Lou, my girlfriend is wearing a bikini, mate. Get out of here," I laugh.

"I've seen her in a bikini before," he says.

"When?" Olivia asks.

"Olivia, you wear a bikini every time we go swimming, love. Don't act so surprised. Is El there?" he says cheekily.

"No, she's back at yours for the night. Why?" she says.

"I was just wondering if you were alone some random stranger is in your Jacuzzi on the balcony or if it's her," he says. Olivia looks behind her at the balcony then looks back at Louis with a smile on her face.

"That's my sister, you idiot. I was about to get in, too, but I wanted to talk to Harry before you all go to sleep," she says.

"Dang it. With you not being here, I'll actually have to go to sleep, won't I?" I say.

Her mouth parts a little and eyes glare at me, making me double over with laughter.

"Olivia, get out here!" Taylor calls from the open balcony door.

"One sec!" Olivia calls.

"Baby, is it cold there?" I ask.

"It's snowing!" she says cheerfully.

"In November?" I ask.

"Stranger things have happened, my love," she says.

"How are you liking the car? And the iPhone? And the Penthouse?" I ask.

"Everytime I look at any of those three things, I'm simply reminded of how much you love to spoil me," she says.

"Good, because I will always love spoiling you no matter how much you tell me to stop," I say.

She looks at me for a few seconds, her eyes soft.

"I really miss you," she says, her voice breaking.

"I miss you too, love. But I'll see you on Saturday night," I say softly.

"I love you," she whispers.

"I love you, too. Go have fun with your sister," I say.

"Bye, babe," she says.

"Bye, beautiful," I say, kissing the camera at the same time she does.
