Unique doesn't mean useful

Being unique, different, out of the ordinary is our lives. But having all of these qualities aren't always easy. Though you must learn to embrace the qualities that best define us......

1. Life is usual?

"You say you love the rain, but you use an umbrella to walk under it. You say you love the sun, but you seek shade when it's shining. You say you love the wind, but when it comes you close your window. So that's why I'm scared when you say you love me."

                                                    -Bob Marley

Having family is so precious, yet some people still take it for granted. When you tell anyone who loves you something hateful, cruel, painful they take it to heart. Because you'r words mean the world to them, more than life to them. So when I see people, unique people like me being treated like outsiders it feels like my world has become an unreconizable place. Why is it so easy to crush people's spirts, yet so hard to rise you'r own?

I'm Ciarra A. The girl you call an outsider, the one you never notice, the one you call a bitch because I stand up for what I believe in, the ugly one, the one that takes every little comment to heart. People judge me because it's easier for them to spot out my imperfections, then face their own. Even if your popular, or nothing, you're judged from day one. You're beautiful, kind hearted, popular, wise, confident, lawyer, doctor, or you're ugly, outspoken, never have an opinion, a mistake....... But inside every single person, there is something beautiful. Barried deep inside, or on the surface. Being different has advantages and disadvantages. Sometimes you're famous for being different, sometimes you stand alone in being different. Just because you stand alone doesn't mean you're wrong, it just means you have enough Courage. Strength. Confidence. To embrace change to the world around us. Which inside others make them envy you, dream to have the tiniest of courage you have. In the end we are all the same, we all wish to be skinner, prettier, sporty, book nerd, so on. As we point out these imperfections we never notice the best qualities. The one's other people are jealous of. Never degrade yourself, never think you aren't worth it. That if you disappeared it wouldn't make a difference, because it does. You're unique, in you'r own way. When those people say: "Wow you're ugly." "Ha you're just as useful as rock." "Wow you suck at math." Don't let these useless comments get you or anybody else down. Just because you're not good at one thing doesn't mean you're useless. It makes you different, unique, human. There are going to be people who come and go in you're life who are a problem, who are a solution. You just have to keep you're head up because in the end you are stronger. Better. Wiser. For now you will feel lost and alone in this big world, with eyes searching for approval. When in all reality you're never alone, or lost. The simple problems starting with: "Which color crayon is going to go with this one." To. "2+2=4" And. "Does he like me?" Most importantly. "Who am I?" All of these are apart of the cycle of becoming you. The you, you're proud of. To me, no one ever grows up. They may have wrinkled skin, bags under their eyes, tan skin, dark skin, white skin, different eyes, different hair, different body shape. But they are still searching just like you through life, trying to find out who they are. You may think you have it all planned out, when you haven't. Which is ok, because having nothing planned out is better than, planning and being disappointed. Even though things get hard sometimes, I would hope you would have enough strength to seek help. Because no matter how hard you try to do it on your own, you will need others help. Which is ok, it doesn't make you weak, stupid, attention seeking, or any other bad comment you may say to your self. It makes you strong, courageous and most of all human. You've got to learn that being different is ok, because it lets not only your self but others feel good. No matter how much we all try to fit in we won't, because there is no real fitting in. Because we are all different, so who ever you decide is perfect, has it all, they really don't. Don't be quick to judge, because until you listen to their story you don't understand them, or the way they act, or who they are. Stand up for what you believe in, we are the ones who can stop all the pain and suffering that surrounds us, if we just try. I guess to end my speech, I will just say that sometimes it hurts, sometimes it will be happy, sometimes it will be a jumble of mixed feelings. But life has just started, so sit back and enjoy the ride....
