You're the One

Jennifer thought everything was perfect, until her world got turned upside down. Was it time to let him go? Did she expect too much? Someone was about to show her what she was missing.

6. 2 more days

Alex had only spoken to me only through text since the night I forgot to call him.  He was beyond angry that I wasn't trying.  I felt really horrible.  I left voice mails as often as I could.  I knew he would come around.  I just had to keep trying.

I was getting really excited about the concert.  Only 2 more days.  Edward and I had been talking everyday.  Still just friendly and slightly flirtatious chatting.  I wasn't sure how or when we would meet on the night of the concert but was excited none the less.  My niece loved them, and I loved being able to take her.  I had to work the night shift at the shop and wouldn't get to have any of my nightly chats with either of the guys as usual.  Jaime was giving me a little bit of the cold shoulder at work.  She thought the whole idea of me meeting a stranger was crazy.  But in my eyes, meeting him around thousands of people seemed harmless.  I got off at 10, not long after getting home I had a new text message.

"Sound check tomorrow night at the arena, are you interested?"

It was Edward.  I didn't know whether it was a good idea.  Sound check probably meant not so many people, but it also meant, the possibility that I could meet the band.  I weighed the pro's and con's.  I took a deep breath in, and then texted back.

"I'm in.  Let me know when to be there" I sent back.

"Come by around 8, side arena door will be open.  Can't wait to see you"

I had the biggest grin on my face.  I wasn't sure if I would be able to sleep from the excitement.  I just couldn't decide if it was because of the band or Edward?
