Collie moved from her small town into a big city. The big city intact. She thinks that Broadway's new musical will help her become famous. But should she have gone a different route?

3. Dancer

I headed towards my new apartment. Just as I passed a dance studio, I noticed a help wanted sign. I thought I'd give it a shot. I mean, I came here to sing and dance but this would earn some money. I walked inside and set my bags down. "Hello?" I called out. "In here!" A voice called back. I walked towards the voice and finally found it. It belonged to a long haired woman who I soon learned was called Elise. "Colbie." I said, shaking her hand. She smiled and so did I. "So, Colbie," she asked. "Are you here for lessons?" I shook my head. "I came to apply for a job." Her smile grew. "Yes! You're hired!" I tilted my head. "Don't you wanna, like, ask me anything?" I said stunned. She shook her head. "I can already tell you dance by your posture and composure. You're also very fit!" She said laughing. "You start tomorrow at 8:00." She said. "Goodbye mademoiselle!" She said and went back to her dancing. "Bye... Boss." I said walking out. What the heck? I guess I start tomorrow at 8. I thought as I grabbed my bags and headed out the door. I made it to my apartment and got checked in. I walked over to the elevator but then decided on stairs. I mean seriously. It's a good work out and I barely have any bags! I started sprinting up the stairs only to find myself lost. I shrugged and went through the nearest door. It was an empty auditorium. I set my bags down and walked over to the piano. I say down. I glanced around to make sure no one was watching and started to play. "I've been awake for a while now. You got me feeling like a child now. Cause every time you hold me in your arms. It's a feeling safe soft and warm. Yeah it's starts from my toes makes me crinkle my nose. Wherever it goes I always know. You make me smile please stay for awhile now just take your time where ever you go." I stopped when I heard foot steps. Then someone coughed. "Excuse me miss," Said a tall guy in black. I stood up, ready to run. "This place is reserved at-" he checked his watch. "Yup 5:00 for my clients." I nodded. "I was just going." I lied. He smiled. "Have a nice day." I picked up my bags and sprinted out the door into the staircase that I would eventually find my way out of.
