The truth is always harsh

The history starts off with 2 best friends fishing, where as one of them (Jake) has fallen in love with a girl from their class. Her name is Emma, and she's quite popular among her fellow students, but mainly hangs out with her friend Sophia. Even though Sophia is a freshman, and you 3 are juniors at the high school.

-This is first time i write in here, and i hope for some nice feedback! - Alcohol will be mentioned and sex is in the context!

3. Chapter 3

I wake up to the chime from my alarm clock. It’s still hard to get up and out of bed this early, though school started yesterday; I’ve never been a morning person. Jake knocks on my doors, asks if I want to go eat now, or if he had to wait for me. Jake’s a good friend, quite polite, but also very straight forward about nearly anything. I told him I just needed a moment, and then I’ll be there. I can see Jake had a good night’s rest, compared to me the least.

After eating in the cafeteria, we head for the classroom. At our classroom, we’re greeted by Sophia and Emma waving. I guess they’re going to school together too. We wave back at them, and Sophia sets off for her classroom, leaving Emma with Jake and me in front of our classroom. She thanks us for yesterday, says it was nice to talk, and she was supposed to thank us from Sophia too, for letting them sit with us. Jake is much more approaching today than yesterdays, and says it was our pleasure as well, and I agree with him. We can see our teacher is on his way, so we prepare for class before he arrives.

After 3 rough hours with chemistry, Jake and I decide to go outside and play football with some of the seniors. Though we never speak with any of the seniors, we’re still friends, and when it comes to football, we’re all having fun. Though I’m not that great at football, Jake is superb. We went to the same middle school, and quickly became close friends. We would hang out after school, go to his place and borrow his dad’s fishing rod and go to the nearby lake. I’m happy I know him, because I always had trouble making close friends in school. And Jake has always been there for me, whenever my mom had been drinking, I could sleep at his place, and he didn’t even care why. I want to be just as good a friend to him.

The bell calls us back in, for another 3 hours of school.

Both Jake and I are sitting in the cafeteria, talking about our homework, and about being science partners. We were partners in middle school too. But Jake changes subject all of a sudden. He asks me for advice. He wants to ask Emma out, but is scared of being rejected. I’ve never had a girlfriend, but I can see how much he likes her. I’d want him to just go for it. The cafeteria is large, but I can see Emma and Sophia sitting at a table, not too far away, with a few other girls from our class. Jake rises from his seat, takes a deep breath, and walks over there. I can only imagine how he’s doing. Emma’s look on her face is surprised, but happy. Jake looks exactly like the opposite of happy, he seems sad, did he get rejected? He’s on his way back to our table. He tells me she had promised Sophia to go out on Friday. He looks really sad; I wish I could do something for him. Actually, I can do something for him. I tell him to follow me, and we both go back to Emma and Sophia. Jake is looking confused at me, with the “what are you doing” look. I greet the girls, and ask Sophia, if she would accompany on Friday, then all 4 of us could go to the park, or watch a movie. Sophia blushes hard, I didn’t expect anything less, but she looks at Emma, and they both nod. I feel relieved; it actually took more courage, than what I’d expect to ask a girl out. The bell calls us back for another 2 hours of school, before we can go home. Jake and I head back, after our farewells. He practically hugs me, and thanks me a bunch of times, I’d never expected I’d to turn out his well, but I think we’re all happy and looking forward to Friday now.
