2. Matt Howland's POV

My story begins in Miss. Rutherford’s room. The oldest teacher in the whole school and still prefers to be called Miss. Anyways, she teaches history and I don’t think that it’s very fair that we have to learn history. The kids in like 1827 probably only had a few pages to their history textbook.

“Blah, Blah, Blah, big assignment, worth 50% of your grade,” Miss Rutherford instructed. It’s the same old, same old. Wait a minute, did she say 50% of your grade. That’s like, 2/3 of it. I may not know a lot, but I do know that I better get that assignment done. I’ll make a checklist of what to do.

Find out what the project is. Get materials for the project. Spend at least a ratio of 10 minutes of project time for every hour of gossiping/texting. Get a lot of glitter to make your project stand out. Pretend to like someone else’s project. You’ll be wishing you had in the long run. Get brownie points by complimenting Miss. Rutherford on her hair, eyes, etc. After complimenting Miss Rutherford, begin the retching process everyone gets after seeing her.

Ok number 1, and perfect, there’s May right now. For those who don’t know, May is like the only one who pays attention in class. She reminds me of a present-day version of Dorothy, terrible taste in style, and names for dogs.

“Hey Dorothy, what’s that assignment we have to do for Miss Rutherford again?”

“Oh, well we have to pretend like we were the Framers and add a completely new Bill of Rights!” Her cheeks started to blush when she said that. I have a weary feeling about this girl.
