32. If It Makes You Feel Alive *end*

A/N

i haven't updated in months, I'm sorry. I've been unbelievably busy and traveling, but now I start school on Monday so I won't be doing anything until then. I'll update as much as I can.

CASSIDY's POV

My body was numb but I wasn't sure why. My eyes were crusted shut. I tried to lift my arm, but I felt wires or tubes attached, I wasn't sure what was going on. I used all of my energy to open my eyes, and damn did it burn. I was in what seemed to be a hospital room.

"Hello?" I yelled as loudly as I could. My voice was hoarse. What happened?

"Oh good, you're awake. How do you feel?" A nurse said as she hurried into my room.

"What's going on? And I feel like crap." she scratched her head. I was waiting for her response while she wrote everything down, even though I said seven words.

"Plane crash. You really don't remember?" I tried to open my mouth to respond but I felt myself getting sleepy and tired. Words were coming out as slurs, like if I were completely wasted. My vision was blurry and the nurse was saying something.

"No no no no, stay with me. You have to stay awake." I think she was shaking me but i really wanted to sleep. I heard yelling and squeaky wheels, I think I was being rolled somewhere. I began to drift to a peaceful sleep.

HARRYS POV

I was shaking through the car ride. Louis tried calming me but failed terribly. I have the worst feeling in my stomach and the worst thoughts lingering in my head. Now I wish I was wrong about guessing where she was.

"Harry, we're here." Louis said as we pulled into the hospital. Since they crashed, they never made it out of state. Never made it out of city in fact. This is the nearest hospital and it was packed. I sprinted to the front desk like an Olympian.

"What room is Cassidy West in? I need to know now please." The woman's eyes widened.

"You're Harry Styles," her lips curved into a smile.

"In the flesh. If you can give me a room number in less than a minute then I'll give you an autograph and a picture." I know I was taking advantage of her love for me, but I love Cassidy more than anything. The desk lady nodded eagerly.

"319." She said and I wrote my name on her notepad and took a picture with her quickly, but I ran up three flights of stairs until I reached 319. I opened the door in tears and realized she went in there.

"Louis.. Where the hell is she?" I felt my head burning with anger. I wanted to punch something.

"Sir! Sir! Where is the young lady that was in this room?" Louis ran up to the first doctor he saw.

"Room 319? Let me read the file. Follow me." The doctor said and led us into the room. There was a little clipboard that I guessed was her information.

"Don't worry. They moved her to a different room. Only one broken rib. She's having trouble staying awake."

"Take me to her room." I commanded.

"Sir, she's needs rest."

"did I say I was going to disturb her? I'm in love with that girl. I'm not sitting around to watch her get hurt or to die." He turned bug eyed and took me to room 127. I thanked him the whole way down the stairs. Once I out my hand in the doorknob, I froze.

"Go in there buddy." Louis pushed me a little but I didn't budge.

"What if she does die? I don't want to live without her. I don't know what I'd do..." Louis runs up and gives me the gayest bro hug ever, but it helps. Don't you dare say you ship Larry because he's just a big brother.

"I want you to go in there. She's ok." I nodded and opened the door. I saw her, drowning in bandages and gauze. I sat down on the end of the bed. Her breathing was slow and steady when I put my hand on hers, but then it sped up.

"I'm so sorry. I've never loved anything so much, and that thing is you. Whether you wanted to believe it or not, in my eyes you're perfect. The way you get mad over things makes you sexy, which I know is an odd thing to say when you might not wake up but babe, fight it. Wake up. I know it's hard but don't let that stupid plane win the battle. I had something planned for us, Cass. A future." I put my hand in my pocket and pulled out the plane tickets I bought earlier with a ring.

"A future I'm looking forward too. Please get through this like the flu baby." I took the ring as a tear of mine fell on it. I slid it on her finger.

"If you don't make it, you're still mine. Not God or whoever, you're mine." The door swung open.

"Harry we have to go. We can't be in here and the doctor said the nurses and other doctors are going to do something to her I don't know but man we have to go we don't need to be in trouble." I signaled to Louis to come here.

"Say something to her, please man." I begged. Louis sighed and sat down next to me.

"Cass, make it through this because I wanted you and Haz to name your kid Louis. I've always wanted a kid to look up to me. He has to be cute too." I laughed a little and shoved him a bit.

"Nice one Lou."  I held Cassidy's lifeless hand and felt her pulse speed up. I glanced at the machine she was hooked up to and saw the numbers rising, that's not good.

"Cass.. Please fight." I yelled as if she could hear me, I doubt it. My heart stopped once hers actually did, and the dreaded beeping noise that you hear in movies sounded through my head. The one that signals death. That annoying, long ass beep. I'll never get that notice out of my memory.

"Harry......" Louis gave me another huge hug.

"It's all my fault... If I'd never lied then she would be alive." We both sobbed, mostly me though. Nurses and doctors hurried in and yes, we got yelled it. It was worth seeing her one last time. I just wished she made it out alive. Because that's how she made me feel, alive.
