Changing Sides.

1. Changing Sides.

Her face is a beautiful,
sullen blank canvas.
It's her's and only her's
ready for judgemental painting.

She alters it gingerly,
afraid he white skin might
suddenly break. It won't,
but she'll never know.

She paints it with a palette
that could only compare to an artist's;
the colours blending subtly,
they compliment every angled contour.

Her eyebrows are arched auspiciously,
and her lips a startling, vibrant crimson.
She's not herself, but no longer does she care.
They approve of her, they applaud.
