10. Chapter 10

Acelia’s P.O.V

So much has happened since this morning. Justin and I have made out twice, he and I have met Usher and Scooter, they’ve clicked just like that and are already talking business but the most surprising of all happened only half an hour ago. After Scooter and Justin had exchanged stories and Justin sung “U got it bad” for the both of them Scooter approached me and pulled me aside into an office nearby.

“I’ve seen how you look at him,” Scooter stunned me with this blunt comment, “I’m sorry but it’s got to stop, this won’t work.”

Being quite at loss for words and unsure of what to say or think, I managed to get out, “I’m sorry, what?”

“I’ve seen the way you look at Justin. You’re in love with him. Don’t worry, you don’t need to admit it, I and everyone else in the room can tell.” he stated.

“I’m not saying it is true but with all due respect Scooter, is this really any of your business?” I didn’t want to come across rude but why did this have anything to do with him or ‘everyone else in the room’?

“In a nutshell Acelia; it’s Acelia right, you and Justin won’t ever be. If you want his future in the music industry to be a success than you’re going to have to forget you ever had feelings for him.." he trailed off before continuing with the same topic, trying to assure me that this is for the best "I need girls to fall in love with him and I need him to be a massive pop sensation, a lovable one but with a girlfriend on the scene, that won’t be possible.”

“Look I’m just going to g-"

“Acelia, I need you to hear me out on this. Do I have your word? Can I trust you that nothing will happen?” he butted in.

“Scooter I’ve just met you, can either of us particularly trust one another with anything yet?”

He gave me a look that intimidated me and worried me a little bit which caused me to give in.

“Yeah, sure. Whatever. You have my word.” What else was I meant to say? If I love Justin, which i do, and really want the best for him, I’ve got to give anything up and do anything I’m asked, right? I just have to really, really try hard to resist him and hide my feelings and try not to act on them. How hard can it be?  I guess I’ll find out sooner or later.

Justin’s P.O.V

I can’t believe all that’s happened today, it’s beginning to feel more real that my dream can come true and I, Justin Bieber, can become a singer and make a career out of it. It all seems so surreal and I really cannot believe it. I’m over the moon right now and I don’t think there’s anything that could possibly change that!

“Celia!” I exclaim as I see her walking out of an office scooter trailing behind.

“Hey Justin, I just want you to know I’m so excited for you and I believe in you no matter what.”

She walked straight up to me and squeezed me as tight as she could. She looked almost as though she had tears in her eyes, “Celia, what’s wrong?”

“Nothing,” she replied, with what I could tell was a forced smile, “I just needed to let you know that.”

“Oh..okay then. Well thank you, in advance and for now, because without you this meeting wouldn’t have even been possible.” i admitted, who knew she would be the one to make my dream come true?

“You’re welcome. I’ll be back, I just have to go to the ladies room.” before i could get another word in, she turned her back towards me and walked out. my eyebrows knitted together as one, my confusion showing clearly. this wasn't like her, normally she wouldn't hesitate to tell me.

“Scooter tell me what’re wrong, please? I’ve known her for ages and I know that this isn’t her normal nature, something’s happened to upset her.” i stated matter-of-factly.

“I wouldn't have a clue Justin, all I said to her in the office was just a thank you for encouraging you to put those videos up that led to us meeting you.”

“Oh alright, I’m pretty worried, I might go and see what’s wrong.” i turned to walk out before i was stopped by someone's hand on my shoulder, forbidding me to move any further.

“Oh no Justin, I’m sure everything is fine, don’t worry. Let’s continue, how would you like to do another cover for us, just so we can get a feel of the type of music that suits you best?” scooter asked.

“Yeah sure, I’d love to do that.” i admitted.

Later that night….

After a long and tiring but exciting day I’ve decided I’m going to take Celia out to dinner and hopefully bring her mood back up again because even the car ride home was silent and she seemed uneasy about something. Hopefully I’ll also find the right moment to share my feelings with her and express to her how I’m really feeling about everything.

“Hey Celia,” I yelled from the lounge room, “get dressed into something fancy. We’re going out.”

“What? Where and who with and why?”

“You’re always so curious about everything, just do as I say for once and I’ll explain the rest later.”

she hesitated at first but finally gave in, “Alright, fine.”

“But hurry, we have a reservation and can’t be even a second late!”

it had only been ten minutes before i heard the sound of her heels against the kitchen floor, getting closer to the lounge room. In the many years that I’ve known her I don’t think I’ve ever seen Acelia get ready so quick, and look so God damn gorgeous, “Oh my God Acelia, you look absolutely stunning”. That was the only word to describe her, stunning. She stood in front of me in a silky navy blue dress really showing off her lean figure and she had her hair done up nicely in a tight bun and a pair of black, plain heels.

“Yeah, well I don’t feel it.” a frown tugging at each side of her lips.

There was still something about her that just didn’t seem right, even the tone she was speaking to me in just didn’t seem normal coming from her. I walked over to her, lifted up her chin and held both her hands looking her straight in the eyes, “Celia, I promise you, you look so beautiful.”

“Thank you, I mean it too.” She managed a cute, half smile of hers giving me a bit of reassurance.

“Alright then, let’s go shall we?”

“We shall.” she let out a soft little giggle, causing me to smile.

At the restaurant…

“Oh my God Justin! Ambrosia?! You made a reservation for us at Ambrosia?!?” she squealed, obviously excited.

“You bet I did babe, it’s not often from now on that you and I will have a chance to go out and have a nice night out to dinner so I thought one of our last should be a special one.” I booked at Ambrosia because I know ever since we were young teens in Australia, Celia always wanted to come to New York when she was older purely to visit and dine at Ambrosia, her favorite restaurant ever.

“Justin..you shouldn’t have. This is beyond expensive and I feel guilty now!”

“Celia stop, this is my treat to you. Just let me for once spoil you.”

“Okay, I’m sorry. Thank you so much, this means the world to me.” She finished with a delicate kiss on my cheek.

We continued on into the restaurant and were straight away seated on a 2 person table, directly next to a window out looking the most amazing view of the streets of New York, it was breathtaking.

‘This is going to be the perfect night.’ I thought to myself, although I was worried about how Celia was going to react to what I had to tell her later on.

Trying to take my mind off things and enjoy the moment, I suggested that we order as I was starving and I could tell by her fidgeting and the rumbling of her stomach that Acelia was too.

After ordering I decided that this was it, this was the time that I take a chance and tell Acelia how I’m feeling, besides isn’t it better now on an empty stomach then after I’ve eaten and I could potentially throw it all up because of nerves? That was a thought I didn’t even want to imagine.

“Celia, I’ve got to speak to you about something.”

Still looking quite awkward and not quite right she answered, “Yeah, go on.” curiosity getting the best of her.

“Well look, there’s been something I’ve been wanting to tell you, for quite a while now. I’ve never had the courage to actually get it out but I guess I just felt this is the perfect time and place to do so.”

“Justin..” tears building in her eyes, “No please, let me finish, I need to get this off my chest,” I gulped and scratched my head with shaking hands, “I’m just going to cut to the chase and say I love you Acelia Jones. Because I do and there’s no other way to explain it other than that. I simply love you, and want you. I want you Celia.”

“Justin. I’m sorry, I can’t,” She managed to get out in-between sobs, “I’m sorry, I have to go.” she grabbed the neatly placed cloth from her knees and threw it onto her plate as she got up from the table, with that, a tear streamed down her face and she ran out the door of Ambrosia’s with not another word to be said.
